I did the alcohol experiment and made it 57 days. We went on vacation and I drank. I have drank 5 times in the month of October. I am so done with hangovers that last 2 full days. I want my joy back. Thank you Annie for everything.

You had some data points and now know what areas need more attention. That's a great place to be.

Going on 5 years ethanol free! I remember feeling much better after 3 months. I drank for a very long time in my early 20’s in the 80’s is when I started. It got progressively worse in my early 50’s. I quit at 55. I had to go through many hospital emergency trips and twice at a short term rehab where all they gave me was an AA book and meetings. I bet some of the nurses and doctors drink it too never knowing how it really affects the brain. Thank you Annie! I stopped after first finding Craig Beck who led me to you and William Porter. I reprogrammed my subconscious by reading and rereading your book and videos as well as theirs. I am free.

Thank you for the insights Anna Oze. I am 27 and already feeling the ill effects of it like a 2 day anxiety after drinking, problem in concentrating.
Were your 30's and 40's worse compared to 20's?

@@lunardelight thank you so much, means a lot. But one question, why do only i feel this in my group and no one else, is it because of my liver?
I was really good at drinking back in the day and never had hangovers in early 20's

Great job on 5 years 👏 I am 59 now and have been free for 15 years now. As I got into my early 40’s, I noticed the hangovers got worse. I couldn’t imagine what they would be like now. Just so glad to be free and encourage others to understand you can survive and thrive without it. Congrats again on 5 years

Thanks again Annie for all you do. It is hard to imagine you now with such a problem. You look so put together now. You probably already have, but sometime put out a video describing some of your worst times, to get an idea how far you have come. You look and sound great now.

I mention those moments throughout many of my videos! The episode of Red Table Talk I did certainly highlights a few.

The only thing I notice is that I get really sleepy from drinking, then later that night, I have trouble sleeping (then fall back to sleep). On non-drinking days, there's less sleep interference. I don't really notice anything the next day after drinking. I probably should cut back to four days per week because I'm over 70. Experts recommend seven drinks per week max.

I can't be around drinkers while not drinking myself...and I love being alone .
