I used it for two years now. I used to have such thick curly hair. At first my hair was doing well and thriving but something changed, I don't know what but my hair started falling out in clumps and it still is. I've started using Vegamour the serum and shampoo to try to stop the hair fall and regrowth. I also use Virtue Labs to shampoo and condition ... I'm obsessed with my results from Virtue Labs btw! They also have a density booster that is quite amazing!
I had same experience with Monat… ar first really thriving and strong strands. 6 months later mass fall out. I stopped and hair didn’t fall out as much
I used monat for about 1 1/2 year and I loved it, my hair was growing, felt thick and healthy. Once I stopped using monat my hair started thinning, falling, and extremely itchy/dandruff. So your not alone.
I’ve been using two years and loved it but it stopped working and my hair is so thin now and soooo greasy . I’m going back to purology. Do u think my hair is gunna be shit when I stop Monat now? .
@@Novalunes purchase the kinky curly shampoo and start using that. After you shampoo twice apply an apple cider vinegar rinse to your hair and leave it for 5 minutes. Rinse and use any conditioner of your choice but grab a bowl and add raw unfiltered honey a good tablespoon and add 5 squirts of saline and your conditioner and mix. Apply conditioner starting from the tips to the roots. Section your hair in 4 sections before applying the conditioner mix I for got to tell you. Massage it in very well. Put a plastic cap, and step out of the shower. Grab a hand towel and get it wet and ring out all excess water and place in microwave for 45 seconds. Remove from microwave and wrap the hot towel onntop of the cap on your head. Let sit for 15 minutes. Rinse with cool water. Apply an aloe Vera gel as a leave in. Style as usual. Do this every 4 days. Tell me how it goes after you’ve done it for a month.
@@Novalunesmake sure the aloe Vera gel doesn’t have isopropyl alcohol.
I used for 2 years my hair started out really good but after not using it religiously the bottom of my was destroyed I had to get so much cut off. That being said the skin care is amazing 👏
I used to sell this as a Market Partner and used a lot of their products, I stopped using after a year it because it made my scalp break out.
I’m telling you girl it’s the monat that caused the hair loss i had thick hair and right after I started using monat my hair started falling out… it’s still falling out and I know it’s from the shampoo it’s horrible! I can’t believe they can even get away with selling a product that literally ruins gorgeous hair ugh sucks so much!
It ruined my hair too. I lost lots of hair. I don't know how I can stop it😭😭
Honestly, I’ve experienced the opposite. I don’t think Monat is ultimately the hair care I want to stick with long-term, but compared to how my hair was before, it’s actually giving me a lot of health back. My hair is way thicker and I lose about a quarter of what I was losing before. I think each person‘s hair journey is really unique.
Me too my hair is not the same since I started using Monat 😭I’ve used it accordingly and it’s breaking off. I know it’s not any health issues because I had just had a check up right before I started using it and my tests were normal. Idk what’s happening 🥺 I’m about to get my hair tested to rule out anything else.
@@juanitadiaz9162 there are reports of heavy metals in the products. I’m dealing with the same issues. Throw all products out. Even dk a liver cleanse.
It's very different for everyone and you just gotta try the different types to see what works for you and keep using it, if you use a different brand it will mess everything up , trust me I have done that because I didn't wanna use the shampoo out lol. But I realize it's because I'm mixing the products
I used MONAT for 2 months, first thoughts were the shampoo smelt terrible very chemical strong scent. The first month I didn’t notice really anything. It wasn’t until the 2nd month was when I noticed I started to lose a lot of hair. So heartbreaking really because our hair is a huge part of our confidence. I also have really long thick hair. The products I was using before weren’t bad either I was using function of beauty. I do bleach my hair but very rarely only 3 times a year. Overall my hair is so thin and noticeably balding on my part by my forehead. Also MONAT products are very expensive, save yourself the money and the hair loss and purchase some olaplex!
I have used that brand in the past and let me tell you this. I had so much build up on my hair and had to have it professionally removed. I was losing my hair as well. I would wash it and hair would fall out and then combing it out was awful as well. Hair was just falling out. Never again will I ever recommend brand to anyone.
How long did it take for your hair to stop falling out so much?

I can relate! I loved using it but once I didn’t have the money anymore to buy it my hair became crispy, so tangled & became unhealthy. Now I’m trying to figure out what to use for my hair
Going through that now as well. DS Labs sells a shampoo for hair growth and it gets good reviews.
Yes I had GREAT results at first. Helped my postpartum hair loss immensely, wayyyy less oily and it’s just grown faster and longer.
Then I skipped using it a week to wait for more to come in and my hair suddenly looks thinner. What is happening??? It’s also oily again and I have to wash it every other day. When I was using it before I could go 4-5 days! 🤯 before using it at all I had to wash it everyday. But anyway, something is going on
I used Monat for close to 4 years now, just wasn’t cutting it for me anymore. My hair was very damaged and dry and just snapping with monat after years. I went to Pureology and noticed a dramatic shedding in the shower. Stopping Pureology since I don’t know if it is the shampoo or havoc from Monat
How long did your extreme hair loss go on? I was using Bondi Boost (a lot like Monat) for 4 months and just realized that my insane hair loss has increased with it. I decided after the last wash to stop using it - which was just a few days ago. The hair loss is so emotional because I like long hair. But my head also was hurting and so sensitive that I couldn’t wear my hair up. I want to know how long I have to endure insane hair fall out.

@@noeledaniels664 yeah, unfortunately I found that out the hard way. My stylist couldn’t hide the shock on her face with the fallout a week after stopping Bondi Boost products. I then tried minoxidil for 9 days and ended up with an allergic reaction and other concerning reactions so my dermatologist told me to stop using it. Turns out I had TE from stress and then covid. Starting to see regrowth now - finally.
Guys, I had the same issue after one use! BUT... try a different line. That's why they have options. Renew killed my hair, color, and scalp. VOLUMIZING is a game changer for me. Just work with your rep to find the right formula for your hair type.
No, they’re not hairstylists. They did not go to school for this stuff. So how could they tell me what’s good for my hair?
@@amandajacobs9060 we all have different hair types and how we treat out hair. One shampoo and conditioner won’t be work for everyone and stylists will want you to buy their expensive chemical filled products.
Work from inside and out and your hair and skin will improve. I have found it’s all trial and error and hair loss which I’ve had on and off for years has to do with using toxic products and having hormones that are out of sync.
@@Lulu-oi9ue if you’re referring to Monat, I’ve tried different types that were “referred” to me by Monat Huns. I spent the most money on Monat than I’ve ever spent on hair care products and it was the worst one I’ve EVER tried. It caused scabs and I was completely uncomfortable. When I told my Monat supplier or anyone who tried to recruit me, they told me it’s just the type of shampoo I used even though I had used multiple types. If they knew what was good for me I wouldn’t have had to waste my money. It’s an MLM. Complete cult bs. My hairdresser even advised me to quit using Monat… it’s not as good for you as everyone claims it is, if I had bothered to do my research and look at the ingredients. And my hair looked greasy on the bottom always no matter what I did.
@@amandajacobs9060 I’m sorry your having issues. Do what works for you. I found a good brand from the vitamin shop and some Monat products which work for me. We are all unique. I just won’t use cheap products filled with toxic chemicals.
I haven’t fully stopped using it but stopped doing oil treatments a few months back. Don’t know if it’s a combination of things but my hair is thinning and I hate it 😭 planning to try out some new products bc I can’t do this price point anymore. Plus I don’t like feeling like I have to stick with it forever 😕

Everyone is different! Get your thyroid checked, that also contributes to hair loss. I've use monat for years and if you switch shampoos up you won't have a problem. My favorite product is their heat proctector. Love that stuff, makes your hair shiny and soft!
I’ve been using Monat products for 4 months now and I’ve been so happy with my results, much shinier, my natural curls are completely coming back which I was not expecting after years of permanently straightening my hair was so damaged if I didn’t style it, my hair would just be a big frizz ball with little waves here and there… Monat doesn’t claim to restore curls, but it has for me and I’m so happy and thankful for that right now. . I do experience hair loss in the shower and after brushing but I’ve always experienced that since I was a teenager I have long thick hair and it’s always falling out… I don’t think Monat is the cause for me it’s natural and normal. I don’t feel like there is so much build up or like my hair is dirty in fact it’s the complete opposite from any other hair products I have used in the past. Also my hair smells so good and clean I go for walks everyday and when there is wind I always smell myself and I love it because no other hair products did that for me. The only complaint I would have is the IR clinical shampoo and conditioner has a very strong smell like tea tree minty almost medicine like. But besides that my experience has been amazing. I know everyone is different but I wanted to leave this here so people reading the comments can see there are people that are having positive experiences. Like someone else here said, not every product will work the same for every person that’s why you gotta shop around and see what works for you ❤

I've been using monat for about 1 yr or so and it feels the same exact way, greasy oily n I don't dye my hair at all. And it nvr felt like that before using monat. Also my hair was coming out the same way. I figured it was all the dead hair , and that was the detox process. I have to wear my hair up all the time. I'm gonna start using olaplex. But your story sounds exactly the same as what I'm experiencing. Thank you
Yes your hair may fall out but it is taking out all the bad products you have used and if you are dying your hair there is a specific hair line on MONAT . No hate your hair still looks beautiful it’s just that you should do the specific MONAT shampoo no hate pls! What you are saying makes so much sense thank you! 🤩 but I have been using MONAT for 2 1/2 years and my hair is seriously amazing I love it but everyone has different hair types!
Does the fall out ever go away? I’ve been off monat for about 4-6 months and I still experience fall out. My hair is pretty similar to yours thick, prone to dryness and I switched pureology and like you said I love the way it makes my hair feel.

It’s been a year for me and my hair is still falling out. Changing hairbrushes and buying special drying towels for my hair now desperate to repair it

I am a market partner for monat. My own personal experience as of right now I washed my hair yesterday and noticed a lot of fall out. I washed it today again and noticed fall out…. I’m not sure what’s going on
Don’t use the product anymore & resign as a market partner. They come with a lot of bs
It’s a MLM cult. It’s not healthy shampoo, no hairdresser would recommend it. They use shampoo as a way to recruit and make money.

Dose the hair fall out stop or lessin at least and if so about how long after ysing monat? I too went through this same thing. I use monat for two months though and didn't like how my hair was feeling. Same issue I didn't like how my hair would feel greasy and it felt like too product build up! I swtiched back to soap box coconut Moisture and Nourish. And my hair feel better but still experiencing fall out and it's been a month and a half since I stopped monat. I had long pretty hair now it's like half my hair is gone, I had to cut it too and now I'm trying to regrow my hair back. it got so bad with the thinning and hair fall. I now I have some blad spots in the front of my head it's so sad. But yeah please let me know how long it took for the hair fall out to lesson or stop please 🙏
