Heyy..you are a very positive person!!You make my day every time I see your videos..I use concrete for my creations..is it similar to jesmonite? If not please use concrete more in your crafts..thanks
Love your videos, they really bring a smile to my face. I'm not sure I could craft next to you for being in fits of laughter rolling around the floor. Thank you for sharing, love the techniques xx
Claire I could listen to and watch you for ages. Your enthusiasm is infectious. I’m waiting for my jesmonite starter kit, I am literally a newby at this but I am so excited. Can’t wait for the next video.x
Love watching you experiment with all this ‘live’ with us where we can all share in the excitement of the results and the reveal! I really love the candle holder one where you dropped the resin around the edges, love the look of that one!! Great video lovely!! Xx
Hi there!! actually what i think that you mistakened at 8:11 was the amount of paint you applied in the starting of swipe i am not an expert on jesmonite material but i know that how these paints can react to silicon molds and concrete type of surface(jesmonite)
Hi, Claire! I got my Molds and Shapes coasters mold from your contest, the other day. WOW! What outstanding quality! I looked on their website, and they have a huge selection. They've got the coolest clock molds. I can't wait to get the moon and mermaid clock. It's not the typical crescent moon, like we see so much of. Their designs are original and awesome. Thank you again so much for having that contest and picking me (via software) as the winner... and for turning me on to Molds and Shapes! That pigment is CRAZY STRONG! That one little drop made all that color??? WOW! You said you were going to post the AliExpress molds link. Did you forget, or were you just teasing us? hehe I just counted my emails, and I have 260 orders with AliExpress that I am waiting on. I just HAVE to buy almost everything I see being used in videos. I'm more about the shopping than the making. You were MADE for holidays - especially Halloween! You Halloween work is always so amazing! 15:54 - Something that is so free and doesn't mean anything - like President Biden's words.
Heyyyyyy OMG I DID FORGET !!! haaaa thank you so much I will see if I can find them now ... 260 orders ? omg I literally am laughing so hard that is an amazing amount of stuff ! wow !! and I am so happy your order arrived and you love the mould xxx hard not to honestly they are amazing xx
it seems like the thinner the sealant is the better it stuck to the jesmonite. Perhaps the light blue color was too thick at that end. I wonder if it would work if you didn't allow it to dry before pouring your jesmonite ontop.
Yess I think you might be right ... I totally will try that for sure .... I tried pouring when it was still wet and it didn't work out ... so I waited an hour or 2 and it didn't work either 🤣🤣 definitely tricky! But will try the thinner one again I think x thanks so much !
I know people who do acrylic art pours use a drop of silicone oil in the paint to help create the cells so I wonder if you sealed the piece unpainted first, and then add a drop of silicone oil to your paint mixture and then paint....it might help create the effect you got when you painted directly onto the mold? I don’t know if it would work on an unsealed piece though??!! 🤔🤔
Heyyyy Kerry .... Yes I have used that oil in paint pours ... it is possible for sure ... I think Acrylic paint and Acrylic paint pens would give a much flatter Opaque finish than this paint too xx
Hi Claire. Can you paint with acrylic paints on this after or before? I had an idea of like doing an artist palette, either with just paint brush strokes or exactly as you would find on a palette, kind of mixed but am not sure the best way to go? Any advice would be amazing.
hello! your work is great!! I am new to jesmonite and the truth is jesmonite dries too quicly here so I find it difficult to move the mold and get a flat result for it.. It dries before I put it into place :/
Glad I got to the live chat. Really enjoyed it and thanks so much for the mention. I'm sure when people get to know you are on patreon you will grow fast 👍😁🙂
Hey Claire, thank you for this. I have just found this video! Could you use baby oil or silicone oil to create the cells in your paint swipes, like acrylic pourers do?
Hi i love your content, it's very help me to grow my own bussines, but i still struggle with cleaning the silicone mold, so can you give any tips for cleaning the silicone mold so there's no any residue anymore, thank you 💕
Love the tealight holder, when you said about Halloween ones I got all excited lol You did good with painting, arts anything you want it to be and that’s what makes it fun. 😋
Heyyyyy Lp ... you can mix colours ahead of time and store it but it doesn't store for long. Best technique would be to mix your colours in Part A liquid. This will store longer. X
Love this🤩. This is of topic, but we don't get or have a supplier of any jesmonite or those pigments. So do you know what pigments or paints I can use for plaster of paris? Thank you. Love the content🤩
Great video. Just my opinion, but it appears the paint that didn’t stick, on the swiped paint on the trinket dish, was a lot thicker than the paint that stuck.
Long shot, but do you think you could use a mould release on the silicone before putting the paint down to try to get it to stick to the jesmonite and not the mould?I don't have any to experiment with right now haha. I also assume that this sealer method would be a good way to add gold leaf etc.
hi claire! while watching this i work a lot with acrylic paints and i can only think of the lifting issue being due to having thick the layer is? since the black color had so thickness on the edges it didn't lift whereas the teal did have a lot of excess that is maybe why it got caught?
@@ClairesCraftyCorner yes, i work as a caster and mouldmaker in a professional studio. We use jasmo 100 for mould cases and 630 for casting- lamination with fiber glass.
Sorry I missed the live Claire. I love these results, especially the candle holder with drips. Write down those ideas for Halloween and Christmas - they're great!
Hi Claire! One question do you use retardant for the jesmonite mix? It looks so liquid and flows easily, I received my jesmonite last week, following the instructions, and the mixture is not as liquid as yours; any idea on what it could be?
Heyyy Ana ... No I don't use retarder .. I think maybe this time I added the pigment without taking away from the liquid measurement .. maybe that is why they look runny .. but they honestly don't feel runny lol
Don't forget to join in with the live chat if you join at 6pm when the video goes LIVE xx ❤❤❤

Maybe add a bit of water to the paint mix?
Heyyyy lovely... can we put water in Jesmonite ? That might work 😍😍
The tea cup holder should be black on grey and green bubbling over the lip of the pot, perfect colors for the 1960s, 😂😂😂

Hi, amazing video! I have a question, did you use the jesmonite pigment mixed with the sealer for al these paintings? So also for the polka dots? 😊
Heyyyyisa, thank you so much ... yes the same mixymture was used for all including the dots xx ❤❤

Hi Claire. Have you tried adding fibreglass to the jesmonite to strengthen it. Ordered some sheets to try tomorrow first time.
Heyyyy Jane ... oh no I haven't That would be great for outdoor things x
It looks like the areas that lift are the thicker areas which would make sense because it would be softer centred
