These turned out so nicely, They have that subtle granite appearance. Have you ever tried spraying isopropyl alcohol after 30 mins or so or the first hour to cut down on bubbles? Also the gentle sparkle they have would be lovely in the tray, for canapés & martinis in the sun Thanks for sharing Claire,
Heyyy Paul ... I haven't tried alcohol with this no ... x The AC100 is more noticeable with bubbles than this one... so I think the granite effect hides imperfections 😍😍😍

Heyyy Anna .. you could absolutely yes make tiles for sure ! AC100 would be great for work surfaces ... only problem is ... at this stage Jesmonite HQ have not tested it for food safety xxx

Heyyyy lovely, I just looked up the colours, they come in Brick Red, Old Terracotta, Cotswold Honey, Charcoal Black, Marigold, White Marble, Bath Stone and Yellow Sandstone and a couple more 😱😱😱 I have not seen the results of most of these .. BeadleHouse on Insta has used the Black and Marble ... ... but I dont think they will all have the black specs. In ..
Hi Your channel is awesome...I orderd jesmonite ac730 and recieved it yesterday but after all the research I am now nervous to try😅😊 (typical me) but can you tell me; after demoulding some say you need it to harden for 24 hours before doing the "vinegar bath"...and some say you can do it directly after demolding? I cant see why it wouldn't work but im not experienced enough to know. I'd really like to hear your thoughts? Or have you tried this before? X

I haven't tried it .. but mainly because I have already been told it doesn't work x I think it works well with Resin because of the chemical reaction with the alcohol .. but with Jesmonite being a super fast setting powder base it doesn't have the same effect x Having said this .... I will give it a go 🤣😍
I’m in the US and we don’t have any suppliers for AC730 ☹️. I found suppliers in other countries but the shipping costs out weigh the purchase. I really, really, really want to try it tho. Just trying to convince myself to order it. 🤦🏽♀️

I’m wondering about the strength of the tray Vs the same tray with epoxy? I would hate to be carrying a hot pot of coffee when the tray collapsed in the middle.

Hi Maria, you can mix it by stirring, but the mixing blade is much more thorough, so you won't get patches of powder. AC730 is much thicker to, so it takes a bit more elbow grease!×
Heyyyyy lovely ... I actually do not have a formula for it ... but .... 😍😍😍 there is an online calculator for it. If you Google 'Jesmonite Calculator ' you will see it pop up xx enter your water amount and it will tell you xxx

Your work is fantastic and really appreciated for all of us, newbies 😅 I just have a question, maybe you’ll have the answer. My AC730 hardens super fast, like from the mixing stage. It never becomes fluid enough to be able to pour it into the mould. I have to push it down with my hands and in 2 minutes it’s already hard. I follow the exact 5:1 ratio on a digital scale, but doesn’t seem to work. With AC100 I always get it right. With AC730 never! It’s frustrating 😭

I usually mix and pour within 5 mins still with the AC730 ... it has never gone hard like that for me .. it is possible you have a dodgy batch or one part is out of date ? I would definitely ask your supplier xx

Hi sorry .. I just had to watch the video again .. Looks like I didnt even talk about it I believe it ended up being 250g Liquid and 1,250g powder for this pot.

you're absolutely right .. I missed that off .. because I never quite worked it out :) I think the final measure was around 1,400g total ... so divide that by 6 to get one part xx

This is great! Does anyone know if I’d be able to paint over it. I want crisp paint lines so I would prefer to paint rather than colour it

heyyyy Pedro .. you do not need it for AC100as it is not textured at all .. but I have not tried it for the likes of terrazzo :) x I could give it a go

Hi sorry .. I just had to watch the video again .. Looks like I didnt even talk about it I believe it ended up being 250g Liquid and 1,250g powder for this pot.

How much AC730 did you end up using for this pot? You mentioned the AC100 quantities but not the AC730.
you're absolutely right .. I missed that off .. because I never quite worked it out :) I think the final measure was around 1,400g total ... so divide that by 6 to get one part xx
You could probably use a nail brush to scrub the jesmonite.

heyyyyy lovely .. the liquid is Jesmonite Liquid ... you need the liquid and the powder x sadly water will not work x
A vegetable scrubber/brush would scrub a larger surface area than a toothbrush
