So, I wanted to share the drugstore products I recommend for melasma and hyperpigmentation (and all the products are under $30)! What are your favorite hyperpigmentation products? Being a male with Melasma can be hard to understand what wil work for me. Good to know the science behind the treatment, and what to use when . My wife and I have pigmentation from different reasons, Cerave Retinol really worked for her ache spots. However melasma is sticky , needs more strategic approach. I will share my results after 3-4 weeks. Thanks again.

Hi Dr. Liu! I actually live in Minnesota - Mankato but grew up in Minneapolis! Maybe I will meet you one day! But what I wanted to ask is my dermatologist at Mankato Clinic suggested a cream that had to be formulated in Arizona - a compounding pharmacy and it was, I think, retinol, fluocinonide, niacinamide and hydroquinone.. She also suggested a glycolic peel. Both are very expensive. Are there alternatives to this, or does this sound right?
