- Sky News host James Macpherson says the progressive media love to push "racial division" at every opportunity.
“Every now and then someone pops up to put the race baiters back in their place,” he said.
“So, I had to admire head coach of the Boston Celtics Joe Mazzulla for the way he handled a reporter’s question at a press conference yesterday.”
Mr Mazzulla was questioned by a reporter during a media conference about the “plight” of Black coaches in the NBA Finals this year.
“Mazzulla’s response was so good that it completely stumped, not just the Yahoo Sports journalist, but everyone else in the room,” Mr Macpherson said.
"Jesus, Mary and Joseph?" That delivery was gold! 😀

The question was stupid to begin with. People (of all colors) are pulling for the team if they are celtics fans. No one is paying attention if the coach is white, black, purple or green. If the fans don't see race, why is this idiotic reporter trying to stir up race.
For all you Aussies who don’t understand American sports this is like if two Aboriginals are head coaches are in the AFL finals. It is not about pushing race but it is a rare thing. In fact in Australia only 2 ever Aboriginal or indigenous became head coaches and none since 1984. It is a big deal and something to be proud about. Mazzula’s answer was also right because he wanted more to be known as a Christian coach rather than a Black coach because that is the more important factor for him. So was he pushing the Christian/ Catholic perspective? Also he is a Biden supporter. I don’t think that the reporter phrased the question well but it was Yahoo Sports so… 😂

Strange fella James Macpherson, who must have missed American history, slavery, civil war, lynchings, JIM CROW, civil rights, Brown vs Board of Education, disenfranchisement of blacks to better ( pay parody) , housing , access to education. The coach ducked the question because it’s better to stay neutral in a city like Boston. An honest answer would have been to say, “ yes, it demonstrates progress aside from just players being gladiators!”

The dumbest thing I've heard out of reporters covering the NBA was when a reporter asked Russel Westbrook "Did you guys lose this game or did the Jazz win this one".
I think reporters who ask race division baiting questions should be fired. And Mazzula gave a very intelligent answer that shut down any further baiting. This is not the first time either and he worked hard to become a respected coach who doesn't deserve to be even hinted as "representation" hire.

This is so refreshing. When people in positions like Coach Mazzullo humbly speak their truth and share their testimony of the true royal family, or acknowledges that all men are created equal, the world changes even if just a little bit. A little bit is magnified to teach others and so it goes. Grateful for those, like Coach Mazzullo, who have the strength to do so and I hope to follow their example.
Jason Kidd and Joe are both black, the entire history of the NBA is all about black excellence and success, all previous white coaches were put there not on merit but because they were white, winning with black energy and performance, only now are black coaches getting their due.

That was a stupid response from the coach….and those of you claiming it was a racist or separatist question are clearly short sighted to the issue the reporter was speaking of! smh It is not racist to point out that the “powers that be” in this country routinely look to sweep any hardships minorities face under the rug and minimize any light shone on them….it has been a known problem in the league for years that minority coaches are not given the same opportunities as their caucasian counterparts, and in most instances they are, the patience is often times much less. I’m not necessarily a fan, but Stephen A. Smith and Mike Wilbon have both done a good job of lamenting this whenever the issue surfaces. Let’s NOT act like the reporter was out of bounds on this somehow smh I get coach possibly not wanting to focus on this right now, but to dismiss it in THAT way is utterly reprehensible.
