tip for using this on paint, put the liquid into another spray bottle with a bigger spray saves so much product.
I absolutely agree, and I'm surprised that Scott did not mention that because this is a gel you will use a lot more of this product to cover the same surface area as you would with a thinner product that would be applied as a mist

Man this guy rocks...so i was going to buy the IronX until i came across your video a while back. i finally purchased a bottle and I used it yesterday and let me tell you IT WORKS. 10 bucks at Walmart and it did its job. purple purple, it took off 97% of contaminants which i completed with clay bar but it did its job. thanks boss man.
Just sprayed down my lower passenger door and fender and WOW! Lots and lots of metal on the paint....Now i need to let it break down smaller and clay the whole car! Thanks Scott!!
Scott, just tried the product on my Tuxedo Black Ford Expedition. Must admit I was bit scared on trying it on the dark paint since I wasn't going to be able to see the brake dust fade easily, but let me tell you once I started seeing the purple stuff drip down and watching everything fade with a good water hose rinse, the results were beyond expectations. Just had to hand wash it after and apply a bit of more pressures to the sponge. After that just to be more satisfied, threw some dry wash wax and maaannnn my car is new. So thankful to come across your post, I couldn't wait weeks for the Iron X to resolve this huge problem. Eternally grateful, take car from Puerto Rico ! People listen to this guy!!!😂😂😂

John Castro well John, at first that got me worried as well from the beginning so I masket out my tail lights and emblems. Should have done the running boards but they are so big I got lazy. Anyway just sprayed the hell out of that bottle and rinse it completely off. My black plastic running boards and rear trim didn't feel a thing nor fade
On the black paint did it take the water spots off to?
muchas gracias boricua. i have a black Honda civic and was wondering the same thing. as long as i can see it drip that works for me. and also as long as you rinse from what i researched you shouldn't have an issue with damage.
Tried it this weekend and works just described for nearly half the price! Only if they sold it in bulk would Meguiars have a true winner in my books.

Scott, you've got several fans, including myself, on Autogeek and I passed the info along about Megs MB wheel cleaner and it was mentioned as being too weak, I don't agree with that completely.
I will use it come spring when I do ALL the prep work prior to applying a new coating to my car from TAC systems. I will let it dwell and then foam the car down to rinse it away AND to wash the car afterwards.
This plus clay bar is the only thing that worked for overspray on my car
I did the mistake of spraying Meguiar's all wheel cleaner when the paint wasn't cool and I got water marks..I went on to use griots correcting cream and finishing sealant..They went away initially but when I exposed it to the sun they came back..Any advise
This is awesome Scott. I watched your previous megs video and was already looking to purchase that one. But will give this one a try instead since it may be cheaper and easier to find. One thing I noticed you didn’t mention is plastic trim. In the previous video you mentioned to be careful about spraying it and avoiding plastic trim. Should we use the same precautions with this product as well?

@@chasew.l.5808 I've heard Wilson say Meg's Wheel Brightner for water spots. This is safe on the paint, so I don't see why it won't work. Just not an acid like WB, so might not be as good.

Thanks scott for another awesome video. I have a question. Thankyou in advance for taking the time reading this and i'll appreciate you more for any response. In another video you recommended purple power as a soap to remove wax, sealants and traffic film. My question to you is because this product is ph neutral would you recommend using it to remove traffic film, industrial fallout and other bonded contaminants in between wax applications rather than purple power every wash which strips waxes and sealant every wash? Again if you read all the way through this thankyou and looking forward to your response

Is is recommended to dilute Meg All Wheel Cleaner before spraying it on your paint since it is so thick? This way you can stretch your dollar even more.
The same goes for other brands like Bilt Hamber. Their wheel cleaner (Auto-wheel) is the same as their iron remover (Korrosol) except is formulated to stick a bit longer. Bilt Hamber has the best iron remover in the world. You probably won't get that from Europe?

I was thinking some.times to show as, how your mind visualizes the car and cutting every section in 2 by 2 aerias to make correction. Hi Scott great channel, very informative. How many times can you apply this stuff. I recently bought a white car and was horrified to find these light brown spots but after a little research I learned it wasn't such a big deal. I applied it 3 times waiting 3.5 to 4 minutes each time but it didn't remove all of the spots. Wondering if claying would do it.

Adam’s wheel cleaner also works great on paint. It’s a gel like substance as this product is. Except Adam’s is 14.99 and then you have to pay shipping. Think I’ll try the Megs out after my wheel cleaner bottle is empty. Thanks Scott.

This is safe for paint if rinsed off appropriately. Consider that this is "ALL WHEEL" and most wheels are painted wheels.

Scott have u tried wheel brightener as a iron x etc. Alternative? I've heard other pro detailers do it. I haven't tried myself but have u experimented? If so does it react? I have however used it countless times on the paint for instant water spot removal

Would you say that a 5 min contact time would be enough on the paint with this product? Or should i just stick with claying since i have a black vehicle?

Scott, I have a black Lexus LS with water spots on the roof. I have seen a few videos that show using a 1:5 dilution of Meguires Hot Wheel Cleaner and water sprayed on a cloth to wipe off water spots. It looks similar to this video on the white car. Is it true that I can try removing water spots with wheel cleaner diluted? If so, do I need to do more than wipe it off to make sure it does not damage the paint?

Dear Scott i have info for your..as i am one if them....European fans... Valet pro dragins breath product is the same as megs. It is like jel and have this..red liquid effect to the iron contaminations and the cost it is aprox to 15euro for 1lt-33oz.....also the korosoll of britemax but not jel......

In your video regarding Meguiars Mirror Bright and using it on paint, you said that you need to be careful with Mirror Bright on plastic trim Is that the same with this product?
yes...ALL iron removers in my opinion including iron x shouldn't be used on plastic trim

This would work great for that. You can also use Wheel & Tire Cleaner in the purple bottle.

Haha Im just seeing your video for the first time and i just used this last week to remove fallout, 24 oz for 8 bucks at walmart!! I read the label and it says it is safe for painted brakes make sure you read the labels when using wheel cleaner for paint. Same effect as fallout cleaners.
Is it normal for it to leave yellow spots on my rear discs? I drove a good 10km with some hardish stopping and theres a pretty loud noise when I come to a full stop and not all of it has rubbed off.

that depends on how the car is used..no i don't think every wash would be needed but perhaps one or two times a year would be fine for most..iron will build up on the paint around wheel areas because of the rotors and pads and on flat panels and rear of vehicle and you can check from time to time by lightly touching the paint just after washing and when the car is still wet, you may feel little deposits that can't be seen with the eye but felt with your fingers as the paint is wet
Also I'm confused lol I called meguiars and they said that is what this product is designed for. Then 2 days later I called back and they told me WHEELS only lol
They probably said use it at 55°+ too.
the bottle says it is safe for painted brake component plus it is ph neutral your paint will be fine/
