It depends on the cause. A bad backlight in an older phone for example would still have touch. In the case of chestnut output-image AND touch power comes from chestnut. The “guess type” the passcode is usually a bad strategy for data recovery because it is impossible to predict which iOS generated messages pop up that must be cleared to accept the trust. Such as “Face ID unavailable press learn more” By guessing wrong you can disable the phone permanently and lose the data irretrievably

Yes, ram is not unique to the cpu
Can anything ben done if CPU is cracked or shorted (hot spot under the termo camera) ?
