Expensive fail, but new phone is easily, accessible. "Only" money and pride is lost. If you damage the cpu, nand or eprom during failed repair attempt for data recovery purpose - data is no longer possible to recover. Ever. Customers rarely request data recovery unless the data is much more valuable to them, than the phone.

You have to change all the chips because they are intertwined, the NAND flash (storage) is linked with the CPU and vice versa so if you only change one, it won't work without the other.

First of all boot logo after reparing is black but it must be white because iPhone was gold. Second , how you get No Sim status?? Without replacing BB and BBEEPROM you will get wrong pair of SN-IMEI and will be Searching status on the phone

You only need baseboard if you restoring your phone. Otherwise phone will turn on without baseboard. Great video
