I will tell from my repair experience. I found so many se2 with no touch, when i check pin number 8 famous pin for causing no touch diode reading was 0.371 V and there is no touch. I did the jumper from near baseband to 8 pin on screen fpc and check diode value it shows 0.321 V and guess what touch works. It is the same like with audio ic on iphone 7/ 7 plus not always broke c12 pad but when ju do jumper it will works forever in 90% cases. So it can be that in your case it doesn't need to show OL to be broken connection. I'm talk from expirience i did 487 audio ic on iphone 7/7 plus, and more than 50 se2 restarting and no touch.
Amazing. I work in service repair and these videos have really helped me in my work, in my attitude toward jobs etc. It feels good to have this level of understanding
Absolutely Right 👍 don't do more damage! So that a hot swap will help to recover the Data. I'm getting so much stuff with a attempt. And that cost the customer much more. Nice Work!
Nice job Sorin , it is wery inportant for maney of us what you do , the phones are all places , more that laptops tablets and other things , nice you teach phone repair
The worst things with apple I found is when you lose your phone and someone finds it and calls apple they won't help to get the phone returned to you. absolute idiocy.
you need ultrasonic cleaner most of the phone i work with water damage overheting if the board not clean well damage under the chips and mosly charching ic needs replace
Maybe it's viable to run the phone cooled down to 10C or heated up to 50-60C, maybe it can trick, a temp sensor or restore some connection through thermal expansion.
@@corel965 dunno samsung, huawei etc… their phones way too big, can’t fit in your pocket same as the new iPhone 14 disgustingly big phones. Agree with the part that iphones are difficult for disassemble and when u’ve samsung or huawei or xiomi u can tear down the whole phone with just one screwdriver and a hairdryer… but I’m not happy having phone way bigger than my palm, over 180gr in my pocket, and phone, on which I can type with one hand only and having my other hand free…

Most people I know don't use iCloud backup. Either because they don't trust the cloud or because they don't want to pay a monthly fee. The free 5gb are like nothing. I wish manufacturers would be enforced to offer a backup option to a local NAS.
@@Leif_YT FolderSync and you are good to go. I sync my important data with Nextcloud on my NAS for years now. Works like a charm with close to no effort.

That's why it's ImpLortant...classic Sorin!
Thermalmonitord is not a termistor, it’s a daemon, a piece of software that constantly checks communication with sensors

What is this? Strange fault. 3 day job. Can’t believe you did that. But you did it. Thanks for update us what to do when this happens.

My SE 2020 is water damaged too, how do I mail it to you for repair please
great repair although 1 minute phone on screen looks together then next shot two phones in bits and 3 days later appears on screen lol :)
mend it Sorin
How much can you charge for a job like this?

Good Job,
No grinding required, the PCB is soft like paper so you just scrap off the layers - lol -.
Good luck
I can't imagine how much that cost
2-3k £ I guess. At least here in Central Europe this would be a realistic price.
CAN YOU TEACH ME GOOD TEACHER
I find it's much simpler to NOT buy anything Apple.
Keep your opinion for yourself
