You are a total professional and appear to be very modest (great attributes). Can't beat experience and logic alongside technical knowledge and understanding. Not to mention patience and hard work. This is my opinion of you after only watching two of your vids. The other video was "iPad 2 no display after your toddler dropped it? Give it the old slap repair" 😁Not so technical but shows you are confident and willing to go the easy route first rather than blindly tearing down. You have the work attitude from a bygone age i.e. conscientious and caring. Your personality lifts and enhances your vids above the RUclips norm making them warm and inviting, which is not easy for a technical repair video. I dropped my iphone 5s the other day, hence my reason for finding your channel (tried many others but only found the same repeated resets etc) It was dead but after connecting to the charger it actually worked for a few minutes so I left it to charge but when I went back it was dead. When I connect to power it fleetingly shows the apple logo then it goes to a very very dimly lit screen. It stays on that screen until I remove the power cord. I have had a look inside and checked all connections I can see and all appear good. I am a retired mechanical maintenance engineer but my knowledge/experience of electronics is virtually nil. Any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks. I have also subscribed.

Now that the photos are recovered, and a backup of the entire iPhone can happen, can you take it to the next level and repair the iPhone so it could be returned to normal operations?
There is a lot more than pictures on an iPhone!

I'm a nerd and I'm so amazed at how many people refuse to backup their data and pictures into the cloud like Google Photos. I'm an Android user and my data and pictures get backuped up on my micro SD card and the cloud. There is no way my stuff will be lost.
iPhones do have an auto backup feature, but 3 conditions have to be met for the phone to back up

Why isn't iPhone not using SD cards? Android data recovery involves removing SD card and installing it into a new phone. I must be missing something...

Wow you use my same technique to press down the CPU because most of people just press down with the finger only lol I thought no one will think of that for an iPhone 7 it’s common this problem

Stop using those squeegy things and use some sucker cups you attach to the screen, preferably 2, make a jig, put the phone down, slap down the 'lid' with 2 suckers on it, it attaches to the screen, slap it up, screen comes off, presto, done faster and probably a lot safer, and sure easier.

Hundreds of pinpoints from shitty lead-free microsoldering and just one of them cracked can ruin the whole phone.

Very sad story. I've never used an iPhone, don't they back up to some sort of Apple cloud? How do people get in this predicament? Can't people use Google Photos on iPhones? I have never understood this situation.

Even here with an i7 a few times, so many think it's a goner......seriously you need to think back to the the i6 & recognise the signatures....it can be hard for the nowadays techs...But OG hopefully recognise these things
Stick to classic backup to disk... don't push everything into the cloud. Anyway, great job!

I goes without saying Apple would never be able to succeed at getting that data, and yet they want to stop outside repair from happening. Remember backup your data and back up the backup.
Hi do you do works from the overseas? My ipad 2 mini shows blurry line sometimes half of the screen is ok while the other half is blurry very rarely my screen looks brand new I know its old but its a precious memento so I was hoping to save it

Jessa, Apple states that this is not possible. How are able to do this other then to use half a second of simple deduction to track down the fault?
Aple is in the business of selling phones, not repair them. Take the phone to a 'genius' bar, and they will say its not possible, but "you can buy a new one though !".
