In the street fighter pitch someone probably really said “what if, they’re actual STREET fighters?!” And someone really liked the idea

I’m all about it. It made the old Mortal kombat games fun and unique
Callisto Protocol looks excellent. Excited to see the real vision of the former Dead Space team free from the shackles of EA.

The Last of Us is honestly one of the least needing of a remake games out there. I mean it was already remastered for ps4.

Bless' and Tim's reactions during the FFXVI trailer were glorious. I was smiling and laughing along with them as I recognized the summons' names from playing FFXIV.

As a fan of horror games, I'm happy as shit. Resident Evil 4, Callisto Protocol, Dead Space, Alan Wake 2, The Last of Us Remake, Scorn, probably multiple Silent Hills, etc.
So I bet all the summons are tied to warriors from each family/house/clan. Like jinchuriki in naruto and the character you play as is probably ifrit’s champion.
Looks like I'm finally going to get into Street Fighter 🤣
1. The trailer for the RE4 remake looked great. I hope that it can be more horror focused.
2. I'm looking forward to Resident Evil Village in VR. Hopefully PSVR2 will also be backwards compatible with original PSVR titles.
3. The trailer for the Calisto Protocol looks fantastic and you would be forgiven for thinking it was a sequel in the Dead Space series.
4. I think it's great that Tunic is coming to PlayStation.
Psvr2 isnt backcompat since it uses different tracking.
Callisto protol has a lot of familiar sound effects for a ds veterans.
@@vault29a There hasn't been anything confirmed to say that it won't be backwards compatible.
@@Donald_Allan they’ll probably follow what no man’s sky is doing and try to make it work. The games will have to rework tracking. As much as I would want BC for psvr1, I’d rather they focus on new experiences. The amount you’ll be able to do with the new controller is going to be crazy with finger tracking / haptics. Just give me a half life Alex port and resident evil 4 and 8, something new from astrobot, and it will be a day 1 purchase for me.
Calisto Protocol is from Glen Schofield's new studio Striking Distance Studios. It originally was set in the PUBG universe but grew to be its own thing over development.
Glen Schofield was the co-founder of Sledgehammer & before that worked at Visceral as creator and executive producer of Dead Space.
I don't know if it's true or not but I did hear that resident evil 4 and resident evil 8 has a connection to his stories. If that is so imagine how dope that will be.

I cannot believe Spider-Man is coming to PC?! That is gonna sell gangbusters. Also, Greg was right on the money with Callisto Protocol in his prediction from Gamescast. Love the bespoke SGF layout btw guys!
Saints and Sinners is coming to PSVR1. The rumor is still Q1 for PSVR2.

I didn’t see a single second of any new trailers / gameplay
because I was watching Tim’s stache for 34 minutes
My dad’s excited for FF16 and he’s never played any of the other games. Though he’s a big fan of Middle Ages/Medieval like fantasy and considering 16 is dripping in that makes sense he’d be interested in it.
Sony finally brought some quality to their showcase, nice.
I wonder how many of these games that have been announced for PS4 as well as ps5 will get cancelled for PS4 at some point as that seems to be what's happening a bit at moment

I see peeople are excited for Final Fantasy XVI, but I'm still sus over that after Square Enix's own president said, "they were focusing on NFT/Blockchain in their games." Did the world suddenly forget about that? Square didn't give up their western developers for nothing.
To be honest I’ve reached the point of final fantasy fatigue anyway. I didn’t play 15 and I probably won’t play 16 either

@@terribletimes902 I agree it was better than most state of plays but this was certainly not an E3 PlayStation Showcase equivalent. The only major first party announcements were a Spider-Man PC Port and more footage of Horizon VR.
@@Kyt2024 if you’re a gamer and not just a fanboy looking for exclusives, this was probably one of the best lineups of games coming this and next year. And it had something for almost everyone!

They won't if they actually read and listen to sony on what the shows are going to be about I saw alot of upset people that spiderman 2 wasn't shown or God of War I was like did you even read what the show is about sony already confirmed psvr2 and 3rd party only

It's okay Greg I didn't like RE8 either. I think 7 was the better of the two. 1-4 Is obviously the best ones in the series.

@@SolidBoss7 I certainly wouldn’t call myself a casual. Banger is just very subjective. Resident Evil was never my thing, and I’m just burnt out on Final Fantasy. They didn’t really show anything else of note.
@@Kyt2024 the game that is from the original Dead Spaces creators? Though, if you don’t like RE, it only makes sense you wouldn’t like that. This was definitely a horror genre heavy showcase so I can see it not being your taste. Roller skate game looks cool too.

Im sorry... RE4 Remake is WAY bigger than LOU remake lolol. LOU isn't even necessary and is mildly eye-rolling for many to see... RE4 is an actual old game needing attention/treatment.

Even more convinced now that we're getting the date for God of War Ragnarok at Keighley's thing on the 9th and their showcase, and Ragnarok's release, will be in September. I thought FFXVI might just be the thing for PS5 on the 9th but that was here.
Think Ragnarok will be releasing later than September, but that's when they'll show a deeper dive pre launch
They’ll probably have a separate state of play for god of war in summer for releasing in September. Looks like that and forespoken this year. Maybe some surprise from naughty dog at the end of the year.
@@maxminy5634 I think they'll show it at Keighley's thing and give a release date and then do a deep dive State of Play on it in like August where the media will preview it.
Whatever showcase they do I could see being used to outline 2023 and beyond. Spider-Man 2, The Last of Us Factions/Remake, Twisted Metal, Sly Cooper/INFAMOUS, Silent Hill, Kojima, etc.
@@scarrantsandreviews that would be great but I doubt we get anything at keighley’s show. With the exception of a Kojima project. Sony will probably announce more things for 2023 and beyond in a September PlayStation showcase. Naughty dog, ghost of Tshushima 2 etc.

Considering it was a summon heavy trailer it would appear they’re addressing that. Having said that I thought FF15 was just fine making them something that’s only called in when absolutely necessary. But I’d like to call them in like the original FF7.

Capcom and Callisto Protocol saved this SoP. Everything else was meh.
These aren’t meant to be E3 showcases though, just like every game isn’t a triple A blockbuster not every reveal will be a blockbuster. Every game deserves a release date and trailer. I love this state of play and at least have fun with all of them.
I guess if you like those kinds of games. I personally found all the capcom stuff really dragged things down for me. The only game I I came away excited for was Horizon, and I was already excited for that. Good trailer though and could well be the VR killer experience many of us have waited for
Playstation did a great job here showing, Playstation, xbox and pc multiplatform games, with one time exclusive whic was the cat game "stray"....

eh...this was supposed to be a multiplat show. It was repeatedly communicated by playstation: focus on 3rd party games and sneekpeak for VR. And they delivered.

If God of War Ragnarok doesn't get gameplay soon there's something seriously wrong.
I agree for Ragnarok but Spider-Man 2 is coming out next year so we don’t need to see anything new about it just yet.
