@@hmmmm6157 We havent had a wolverine game since x2 wolverines revenge so not sure why they need to make something orginal. The character may not be an original IP but the story for sure will be so dont get this take at all. Just like their spiderman story it was completely original. These are the games they want to make and thats the passion that fricken matters. No one is forcing them to make these games, these are the games they want to make and thats the way studios should be.
@@RajBauer no one is forcing them . But the ip is already pretty well known and established. So making these games will be easy money for them rather than making new ip from the ground up they will need to do heavy marketing to introduce it and still cant guarantee people would dig it.

I think Sony are gonna setup all there 1st party studios the same as insomniac with multiple games in development.

It’s kinda beautiful, I’m so excited to see how those themes come into the game. Seeing the way it all evolves from where they left off.

ND is also working on a remake of the original TLOU. Team Ico now genDESIGN is also working on a new game. Sony San Diego is also working on something. Sucker Punch is for sure working on GoT 2. Guerrilla Games is also working on something else. FromSoftware is also working on a new PS exclusive. Could be wrong, but too lazy to look up.

In fairness, Naughty Dog and Sucker Punch just released a game, as did Insomniac. None of those studios are releasing anything big for years.
ND are doing a LOU remake because everything else is in preproduction lol
@@17Haru17 I'm assuming TLOU2 factions will be out next year. The Last of Us HBO show is most likely going to be aired in late 2022. I would imagine ND is trying to make that deadline for the remake of the first game. Whether they are working on TLOU3 or a new ip I don't think well see it until 2025-2026. I can see GoT 2 making 2024. Also, Spider-Man 2 is coming out in 2 years.

Excited to see what Cory's game is! Last time he spoke on "whats next" he said he wanted to make something that was "fully mine" as in his own new IP and its been quite some time since we saw a new IP from Santa Monica, very exciting stuff.
It was sci-fi related wasn't it? David Jaffe also said there is a game in the works at Sony that will blow are f'n minds. I'm assuming he's talking about Cory's new game.
@@miloandot The sci-fi one got leaked years ago because it was canceled because they stated that the technology at the time wouldn't work with what they wanted and they probably couldn't get the budget... well now they have both the budget and hopefully the tech so...

If you guys would've paid more attention closely to that intro commercial they literally had posters strategically hidden on plain sight of everything they were going to showcase with a couple extras lol.
It's filled with references, from Valisthea 6 realms in FF16 to Sonic.

Steve Blum did a great wolverine, but I trust insomniac to find the right actor. Doesn't strictly need to be an M, but they do need to capture logan's violence.

Kinda like Last of Us, it would have to be M to have it done properly and without a ton of suspension of disbelief, but it doesn't need to be over the top violence for the sake of it either like the last game Raven Software made (unless that's what they want, up to them). I think of Ghost and how that game handled samurai violence in a way that felt real and true to itself while being different from past samurai action games. Still chopping heads off and what not but in a more impactful manner.

So, the Wolverine game is going to be in Quebec? The licence plate says it and HLK 181 is a Hulk comic with Wolverine. This comic was release in 1974, the year is on the register machine. Hulk is the vilain maybe? Plus, it's Wolverine first appearence in 74. Plus, some of Wolverine comics where in Quebec (in newer runs), but he's from Alberta. So maybe the more personnal story of the game is a roadtrip game in Canada, kinda a Last of Us with Wolverine? I'm all for it.
In other news, having ANOTHER Deadloop trailer is telling me how much difficulty Arkhane have to promote this game. I'm sad for them, hope the game find a good audience.
Should be all across Canada and especially his hometown of Edmonton, Alberta which also is my home. Get hype for Wolverine

On the Deathloop thing, what?
Arkane games are always unique and therefore not easy to just set and forget, but the amount of promotion probably has much more to do with Sony's anemic lineup going into the next few months.
Arkane is one of the highest quality game devs in the industry, so Sony's probably feelin' like it's the one to promote. Honestly, there should probably have been a demo, because it's the sort of game that'd sell itself once people get the feel of it.
Hulk 181 was wolverines debut, I'd imagine it's just an Easter egg. Stranger things have happened though.

It's 3 months later and I still come back to this video for Paris trying to flex back on wolverine and Spider-Man with Indiana Jones. I am sad Sony isn't getting that game but they're not in the same league. It makes me laugh every time

The crazy thing is i was both happy and disappointed with the press conference. Happy because they showed some great games but also disappointed because there's so many games coming out which they didnt show and we still know hardly anything about so i was left wanting more.

Great reactions guys, really enjoyed that! Seeing Greg hold up the inFamous game when Spiderman 2 was being shown lol. Yes, I was a bit disappointed that there was no new inFamous game reveal, really hoping Sucker Punch is doing another one. Overall I thought the presentation was excellent, great mix of new ips, indie games and AAA titles and I felt they paced it well. We can't just have an AAA games only, I thought there was something for everyone.
I cannot wait for how the axe feels with haptic feedback.
I hear that’s why the game got delayed into 2022. Whenever the axe came back, it simply broke the DualSense controller because we aren’t worthy.

How did Insomniac manage to get Wolverine? On Xbox side they are doing partnership with Disney to put crappy pirates of the carribbean DLC into a crappy multiplayer game while playstation is getting all the bangers. Even PC gamers won't get the Wolverine game. That sucks. We need to start a petition to fire Phil Spencer and Matt Booty or atleast one of them
Mike really only plays multiplayer and co op games, so it's pretty reasonable to assume he simply didn't care for the games being shown. And that's perfectly okay. People have different tastes my man 👍

@@aolanikainoa552 ... this might be news to you, but a lot of people actually like multiplayer games (gasp, I know. How can anybody possibly NOT have the same preferences as you). Sea of Thieves has consistently been one of the most played games. And that "crappy" Pirates of the Caribbean game broke records for number of players in Sea of Thieves.
It's also not like MS has single player games like Fable, Avowed, Starfield or Perfect Dark coming out, right? Not like they just published a single player game holding an 87 metacritic, right?

If it were just the last 10 minutes, Forspoken and Kotor, it'd be SSSS tier, but that middle dragged hard for me. I'm really looking forward to Deathloop, but I didn't need to see it again.
Yeah we didnt need another deathloop trailer and if Sony spaced out those reveals at the end throughout the show people who dont think this show was elite would think it was lol. Its just structure. For me I saw 7 different things I would play thats just as many as the show from a year ago.
I agree with Blessing's rating but the issue is that they gave MS's E3 conference an A when it was more like a C+/B- and had nothing that inspired real hype like Spider-Man 2, Wolverine or Ragnorok (no Perfect Dark, Hellblade 2 or Fable). If you're going to overrate MS's conferences, you sort of have to do the same for Sony.
Sony's E3 2016 and the PS5 reveal were real S tier conferences. They need to give more B's, C's and D's.

Sony E3 2016 presentation is the best conference / showcase of all time. Starts with God of War ends with Death Stranding and Spider-Man.
And the live orchestra was just something else. Days Gone, Detroit, Horizon, RE7, PSVR, Crash remakes (and Tim going crazy), game after game after game... I agree with you 100%. Sony's 2015 E3 is close to it.

I think this was solid, and not S tier. The problem was the 30+ mins of third party games, which were all solid showings but not really what we came for. The last 15 mins was so strong, but other than insomniac showing up, it was largely safe with so many questions like bluepoint unanswered.
It’s been a year since we’ve had a substantial showcase from PlayStation, with hardly any news about their exclusive offerings. Because of how irregular they show up, when they do show, we want to know about their exclusives. That means if you have a large part of the showcase dedicated to third party it feels kind of disappointing. Because we can get those things in all the other more regular conferences that happen through the year. I think the lack of updates changes the expectations for their showcases, where the bar is being set higher and higher.

I don't understand how people kept thinking Bluepoint was going to be in the show considering they announced their last game six months before release... just over a year ago. Like, their last game released 10 months ago.
To be fair, Insomniac appeared in the show twice and they've released two games in the last year, plus a remaster of the first Spiderman. If they're willing to tease games like Marvel's Wolverine, maybe they'll do that for other Playstation Studios projects going forward.
