My biggest gripe with Outer Worlds was how unalive the word/s felt. I just always go back to my first time entering Megaton in Fallout 3. I see people walking around, I hear people talking, and none of it is for me. It's all just people (npc's lol), living their lives. I got none of the from Outer Worlds and it really hurt my overall experience. I didn't care about walking around town. I'd just run to my marker and that's it. If they've fixed that problem for this game then I'm there day 1.
I get the feeling it will be somewhere in between. Not full Bethesda levels of all NPCs being systematic characters you can talk to like in Megaton, but probably fleshed out more than TOW?
I think more people go back to older games than y'all might realize, especially with that report of 60% of game time being devoted to 6-year-old titles It makes sense that y'all specifically wouldnt have time for it, but I think a lot of people end up playing certain things years later when they hit deep discount
I wonder, if that statistic includes online-games like Destiny, DotA etc. or evergreen games like Cities Skylines Civ 6, Minecraft because that would seem to heavily skew that statistic. 6+ years is like a complete console cycle and by now that "deep" discount hits after like two years or the game is on gamepass or some other publisher service where you can pay like maybe 10 bucks to play the entire library for a month or so.
@paulszki To the first point, I'm sure a significant chunk of that 60% is made up of Fortnite, Minecraft, Roblox, & GTA V To the second point, that's pretty much what I'm saying. For example, I didn't buy Yakuza: Like a Dragon when it came out because I had dozens of games in my backlog, including other Yakuza games, and I knew it would be over 60% off in 2 years
Ever since the first trailer I've been excited for this. I'm disappointed that the tone sort of changed with the game in comparison to the first trailer, but literally everything else people have talked about with this game gets me more and more excited for it.
Hyped for Avowed! The 5-day early launch is clutch, since my friends will be pulling me to Wilds later that month. Just hope reviews (and NDA's) are up early to match.
They have mentioned liking what they see in the trailers, but Andy mentioned that he went back to the first one a couple months ago and found it super slow. I also tried the first one recently and felt pretty similar. It definitely has a slow, clunky feel. However I have a feeling that the stuff we didn’t like about the game is actually part of the appeal to its audience, so I’m not sure if I really want them to change much and lose the spirit of what they are.
ac syndicate is really funny to me bc i kinda feel like it should’ve switched release orders with unity. syndicate was this last grasp of what ac used to be and unity (nowadays) felt like this ambitious step forward i kinda wish they stuck with
You've waited so long, it doesn't matter if it "comes out" a week earlier or not. Also if this turns out to be buggy you likey want to wait a couple months anyway. For me, I'm finally playing Baldur's Gate 3 and this helps immensely in fighting off any fomo, because it's easy to argue "why buy this now if you're knee-deep into bg3?"
Pariss shouldn't be thanking them for having him. They should be thanking him for doing press for them. When some of these folks go to those press days they sound compromised. In reference to Avowed being 60fps he said "Carrie, told me it would be minimum 30fps" with a straight face. That's one of the most ridiculous things I've heard a developer say and these guys didn't say a word. These studios take advantage of these guys and make them feel like they are old friends. Then they come back and repeatedly thank them for inviting them and then sound like salesman.
One thing about Parris is that I feel like sometimes he's so disingenuous about his takes. It just seems like he's winging it because he really doesn't have an opinion about it....but not here....this feels genuine.
They decided it was better to be flexible. Instead of three dedicated podcasts, it's five flexible episodes of gamecast. There's more content, and they cycle the hosts depending on the topics.
Kinda Funny is full of hypocritical POS. They sent their own friend and owner to the gulag over a harmless dad joke but then had Adam Sessler on who has said some truly horrific shit. They're extreme far left and think they're better then everybody who doesn't think like them. They live in a bubble and it was popped badly this election year

Just because this a fantasy setting doesn't make it anything like The Elder Scrolls, Obsidian's games play nothing like Bethesda games. This is the equivalent to calling a difficult game "The Dark Souls of". If you can't make a proper comparison then just don't make one.
Huh? GameStop and IGN both loved it. Forbes previewer almost literally says “I don’t want this game, I want something else” so that was a dumb preview but even they liked it. Show me on the doll where VG/DEI hurt you
Weird how most other previews agree and have a similar experience as the Kinda Funny crew. Forbes enjoying it, Kotaku's headline literally is "6 hours with Avowed and I'm already thinking it's one of 2025's best games" , Force Gaming got to play 20 hours of it said it's incredibly jam paclked of an experience, Gamespot coverage was positive, Gamesradar is positive, IGN very positive, Gizmodo positive, PC gamer positive, Engadget loves it and even says it feels like a classic Obsidian fantasy game, but with the triple A budget (which they have never been afforded until now). Let's stop the cap my friend - It's quite clear you either didn't even see any such thing that you are claiming, or you literally saw the single preview coverage that was less positive and ran with it lol
I was never able to get into Pillars, it just felt so rough and outdated even when it was new. Obsidian has never been a great world builder in my eyes either. I'm glad I have game pass to give this game a chance
@@Garoth4582 "Hi guys, I sell miniature horses out in Japan, and beginning next week, I'm selling ponies, big fat ponies. Yeah their opinions are pretty bad. Blessing is terrible at expressing any opinions he has , Tim is a fake ass gamer, and Paris always parrots what the marketing team wants him to. Greg is pretty good 👍

I love Pillars of Eternity and cant wait for Avowed
Blessing's meat on the bone smell analogy was perfect
How has Tim not watched The Gladiator? Cinematic masterpiece. Easily top 5 movie of all time.
Not even close lol. It’s an 8 out of 10.
He was not entertained
Tim is a 10 year old with bad taste.
@@alextownley9388no dude
He hasn’t played Mass Effect either. He’s odd.

Barrett is 100% right about AC: Syndicate. It's the best made "old school" non rpg AC game made so far. I'm hoping I can find the dlc on sale
Can you play it with the hud and markers turned off? That was my favorite part about the first game.
Nah that's crazy when we have AC2 trilogy.
The comments section the last couple weeks on the KF content have been wild.
I've been noticing that too, feels like 2016 again in a bad way 😮💨
I loved Pillars and its settings

Same, though I think the change was largely because of where in Aora they chose to set the game.
Best way to start Friday from the 🇬🇧
Take a drink every time Bless says “from the get-go” lol. Glad to hear the game is fun. Hope they stick the landing.
Or “oh man”
Great show! excited for the game
Def gonna play Avowed while i wait for AC and Kingdom Come to get patched out/ possibly go on sale. Very much looking forward to it.

Very interested in this!! Also what is the backing music for the Visual Triangle ad?
Really seems like obsidians take on elder scrolls, cant wait!
Just remember that it's smaller in scale. I think that's going to disappoint some people.
Ohhh this is a lineup
need to replay outer worlds after watching this
Outer worlds launched on gamepass I'm pretty sure. That's how I played it.
Lately in hip hop terms KF has been spittin!!!
I have played both pillars games and would recommend everyone to go play them
Already discussing it going to Playstation. Blessing perked up when that was mentioned 🤦♂️.
This is KFG Vol. 3, Episode 140 (Episode 624 overall)
I cant wait for this game. I just wish it was day 1 on game pass and not day 5 unless you pay extra.
It is on Gamepass day one lol wtf are you talking about

Its going to beat Skyrim haha I mean Fallout new vegas beat Fallout 3
Yo Syndicate upgraded to 60 fps?!! That should be the headline of this episode. Thank you Barrett!
2024 and Obsidian still refuses to acknowledge that blue-eyed blonde white women exist this is sad.
