    I've been rocking this every day with steel bracelet. I've have 20+ watches but this is the most beautiful one

      That’s amazing how do you like it on the steel bracelet? I have seen some pictures and they look amazing. Thanks for watching.

    Been wearing mine for around 4 months as a daily beater as well, similar patterns of patina, except there was quite a lot in the area between the lugs. The circular-shaped regions of silver tarnish were apparent enough there I went after it with a silver cleaning cloth, which seemed to shine things up nicely.

      That’s awesome that you are seeing similar patterning. Nice work with the silver cleaning cloth. :)

    Take a look at my video on this watch. To clean it back to new looking is quick simple and free. Remove the strap and use a little soft toothbrush with toothpaste and water. Go over the watch gently but thoroughly and then do the same again with soap and water. It comes up like new in just a few minutes.

    Great update. Currently pondering between this and the blue version and maybe the Pro. The 925 is certainly unique, love that matt brushed look and the dial colour is right up my street. With regard the tarnishing I think anybody thinking of buying this watch just needs to go into any purchase with the expectation that it will tarnish to a certain degree. Personally I don’t mind the tarnishing, adds a little character, but I will admit if it went a little too far I would consider giving it a bit of a clean once in a while. I’ve heard a soft toothbrush with baking soda or a low abrasive tooth paste works wonders. I think I could handle that once or twice a year. Really need to go and see one of these in the flesh. 👍

      I would highly encourage looking at one in person. For me it was love at first sight and I was one who did not like the black bay 58 range initially. The glow of the silver and the patina is great! Thanks for watching and that’s for your support

      @@themainspringer Yes will take a look. The only thing that bothers me with the 925 is not the tarnishing but the relative soft nature of silver. I tend to put my watches through it, they get used and abused and part of me can’t help but think I would limit where and when I would wear it. I don’t really want to buy a watch just to be admire it from the watch box which I can’t help think I would do. Really need to see these watches side by side.

    Just bought this watch about 2 weeks ago on the leather strap like you. It feels very comfortable and I love the size. Will be interesting to see if it tarnishes

    Great video and very helpful, are you thinking of doing a follow up video showing the evolution of the tarnishing?

    • @themainspringer
      @themainspringer  Год назад

      Absolutely plan to do that but spoiler alert it’s been pretty stable since the 6 month and I am loving the watch. Thanks for watching and your support

      @@themainspringer thanks for the reply! Looking forward for that video! I’ve been pretty disappointed by the softness of silver as it endured some pretty heavy scratches after minimal wear but it is nonetheless a very nice watch. Greetings from Geneva Switzerland!

    I have this watch on the Nato and I bought an aftermarket grey strap. What other straps have you found look good with this?
    I use renaissance wax on mine because I want to keep the shine a bit longer. I have noticed most of the tarnish between the lugs .

      I actually use the factory leather and now recently put it on a grey “benchmark basics” Amazon suede strap and love it. With the strap and the dial being grey the silver stands out. The tarnish between the lugs seems to be prevalent too

    Still looks great! I bet this watch will be discontinued in the near future imho

      Agreed that would be great and make it unique.
