@reignkaida this isn't the first time. 3 years ago a mountain lion was spotted in Summerlin. It was tranquilizer and removed. It wasn't too far from where I live in Summerlin. So while they may be found further away, the know how to get to Las Vegas
There was one spotted in the area of Kenny Guinn Middle School/Harvey Dondero Elementary School/West Flamingo Senior Center in May 2022. It slipped away from the police and NV wildlife officers looking for it. It is presumed to have traveled along a wash leading in from west of town. That area is around the intersection of Flamingo and Jones. But getting to Valley View is mind-boggling.
Omg the news and most of you got bamboozald! That is a small cat. Look at the wall of the stairs. The wall of stairs height should be about 43 inches in height and the trash can is around 38 inches, now compare it to the cat! The cat is around 8 - 11 inches in height! WTF 8 NEWS!!! Do better investigative work.
Valley View and Sahara! A mountain lion?! Someone needs their eyes checked. Ain't no way a mountain lion is roaming inner city Vegas. Maybe it's headed to Chinatown for some Chinese food?
That stop sign looking thing is one of those ADT signs and look at the banister. Geez people, that camera is low to the ground. LOL! The intense heat really is getting to people, it seems.
It's someone's escaped pet. There's no way that's wild being that deep in the urban jungle. Any such animal coming from the fringes would've been mowed down by cars doing 90 in 45mph zones as there's zero enforcement.
This has been happening for forever and even more since we have moved into their territory but now we have cameras to catch it. I know at least twice I was followed by mountain lions in Arizona(saw glimpses of them)and if they had wanted me as food I would have been food so we need to stop being terrified of the low risk threats to our lives when we are much more likely to pass away in a car accident
Duh Clear sign that we need to STOP selling land....especially near red rock. Need more homes? Build up? Or redevelop older neighborhoods. Or the abandoned bldgs (homes/offices) turn those areas into a Gated community??
Wild animals aren’t coming closer to neighborhoods neighborhoods are coming closer to where they live. stop building community after community out in the wild and then complain about the animals.
@@billymccoy9155 Well, tbf, Trop eventually turns into Town Center, and then crosses Flamingo. But there's no park there either. Maybe he's thinking of Charlie Frias Park. It's big, but it doesn't go all the way to Flamingo. And there ain't no mountain lions there either.
Dope!!! Hopefully they'll approve urban hunting licenses soon!! 🎉 Is it wrong that I'm rooting for the mountain lion? I also think that this may have been a large pet of a rich ahole in the area that got away😅
Lived here my entire life. I wish these greedy land developers would stop building in their habitats
Like you were here first
Shut up lol
Damn that’s deep. It’s usually like Kyle Canyon and Enterprise type neighborhoods not Valley View and Sahara 🤣
That's wild! Hope everyone stays safe and keeps their pets secure.
Of course they're coming closer. We keep building in their habitat. They have to go somewhere.
Cougars habitat was never in the valley.
@@JS-pz8ypyeah they’re were usually found further north from Vegas
Oh shut it
hey Sherlock vegas is a tiny dot compared to the desert ....the question is why are there so many now

Usually they been spotted the edge of the Valley neighborhoods but I haven’t heard one that far in 😅

Wow! That’s crazy! Smack in middle of Las Vegas what in the world
I live in Sedona, Az and have seen them around here, some big ones, too. The neighbors think it's a positive sign of nature, but scary as heck to me.
It’s a cat. Compare it to the grill it walks by and the small security sign.
This is a large housecat. Definitely not a Mtn Lion
Depth perception from camera placement
That is not a house cat lol.
@@BearPig a mountain lion would be almost as tall as that grill. This one is barely taller than the wheel on the grill. It's a house cat
@BearPig Anyone who thinks it's a mountain lion must be drunk 😂😂😂 it's a cat
@@abidoran3439 that’s not a grill it’s a covered car lmao
That's dead center of the urban area.
We need a better angle. This looks like the camera is low and it's a house cat LOL
Definitely a house cat lol
in the middle of vegas?!
🤣🤣 how ❓did he even get out this way.
I always think what if!! A lot of mountain lions coming into the city in the last few years, be careful everyone .
Damn he must have been trying to go to first Friday 😂
carry a flashlight, night hunters like to stay elusive
It could be someone’s exotic pet. There is no way such an animal would be roaming around in the middle of the bustling city.
illegal in nevada to own
Theres a cougar around my neighborhood too i might pounce
How the heck did it get into the middle of the city, storm drains?
This is where I live. What the hell? Lord, help me!!

Did the mountain lion escape from a show on the Las Vegas Strip?
That’s what I think. It’s someone’s exotic pet. It makes no sense for one to be roaming around in the middle of the city.
It’s a cat. Not a mountain lion. Reporter didn’t do their job.
That is my favorite animal ever. It looks so cute but scary nonetheless.

Is she related to the late , fighting great : Kimbro Slice!! 😂
So it hasn’t been caught??
old peoples small dogs are food for big cats
The guy holding the dog sits when he pees
He’s old
It’s the best position to pee in your face.
Sitting is a much cleaner way. Relax and take a seat if you're a guy, no need to splatter everywhere.
It's a nice video but you can't prove it's an actual mountain lion
Do you have another suggestion? Because that looks like a mountain lion to me. And this is mountain lion country.
I mean I know it’s hot but anyone else wondering why his wife is walking the dog at 2 in the morning?
Because she can walk her dog whenever she wants to, that’s why.
fearful pissants lol

No
Good the land belongs to the lions anyway😂
I think it's from the park on Tropicana and Flamingo theres a huge mountain area we built a park on . Be careful with your dogs!
There is no park on trop and flamingo, they don't even cross.

Hahah have You ever tried to call animal control? Clearly not
Cry more.
