What a collection to start of 2023. Thanks for the RoundUp video’s, they’re my new Saturday morning cartoons. I love watching them on a Saturday morning with my coffee and making notes of games to try out.
I am committed to doing them up to the end of 2023. What happens beyond that will just depend on whether the channel can obtain any meaningful growth. Your kind feedback helps a lot.
It's amazing how capable are the most popular 8-bit computers when devs know how to take advantage of the custom chips and utilize tricks to get more colours and smoother scrolling.
Thank you so much for featuring my game in the roundup. :) I do believe I am finally done with SEUCK, barring one more game out in February, hopefully - an action platformer that sadly brought up some limitations I can't hack my way around. In any case, I've long been putting off actually diving into some of Richard Bayliss' assembly tutorials. I thought Synthia deserved one more game, though. x
WOW WOW WOW I lost count of the new games that you went over, but all of them but one is FREE! Then the free digital magazine! It was like Xmas with this issue of Round up! Also, OMG the Blade runner demo was amazing!!! TY for the content.
Seems like a lot of people really like Blade Runner and the demo based on it is really well done. It was a great collection of games and there were more releases that missed the cut.
Thanks again Louie for the mention of Christmas Caper. I made Release 2 available last night. Hopefully you/everyone should have had an email notification from itch?
That is really nice of you to say. Most of my viewers are casual C64 fans who don’t survey the scene everyday. These round ups hopefully gives them all they need to know.
Of all the c64 hames of 2022 what would you say were the top 10 game tunes on the c64 that year ? When i consider my collection during the 80s we always had a mag or reviewer listing the top tunes but we dont see those for modern games much :-(
Great idea! I have thought about including best graphics and music as part of the RGN Award but wasn't sure I could pull it off effectively as a voting panel thing. I will seriously look at doing a Best music segment in the February round up (so I won't be disclosing my top 10 right now) and the best graphics in March.
Platformer does not really cover the game correctly. If I refer to how Metroid is often described that is as an action adventure game, which is interchangable with arcade adventure.
I always thought that there was nobody creating new games for c-64. So it's time to put it working again! Thanks for your material
13:42 _"it's only about 11 months til Christmas, so let's get into the spirit..."_ 😂😂
Really enjoying these monthly roundups
Love these round ups, they're like mini TV shows with the different content sections. Thank you!
Appreciate the feedback, thank you for watching.

That warms my heart to hear. Cheers to you and have a great 2023!
I had a little leftover Christmas gift card money to donate to a good cause, and now my C64 has some new games. 👍
Great to hear that you were able to some C64 games a good home.
These round ups always brings joy to me :) Thanks for making them and please continue doing it!

Blade Runner demo was just amazing.
Thank you for covering my game in your video!

13:43 Merry Christmas Everybody by Slade is the BGM playing
The format is spot-on. Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it.
Wow, excellent pronunciation of the polish word "Czołgi" (tanks)! Not many foreigners can say that!
Must be my slavic background that allows me to be able to pronounce Polish words without too much trouble.
A really fantastic Blade Runner demo! Pretzel Logic 10 Points!
That demo was one of the best ive seen on the machine probably surpassing the last ninja 3 introduction
Great video as always, great to see new C64 stuff in 2023!👌.
Thank you for your great videos sir!
Amazing round up, thank you very much. C64 still shines and even brighter. Cheers from Argentina
Hey thanks for the shout out, hope you continue enjoying the C64 for many years to come.
Great video as usual, many thanks. I can't believe most of the games in this episode are free. A good time to be a C64 owner.
Another fantastic round up, would love to see Lester get a physical release.
Physical release looks very likely.

Wow I must try that Blade Runner-esq demo - looks amazing!
good titles and a very nice Blade Runner Demo.

Congratulations on getting the game released and welcome back to C64 coding!
Excelente, maestro!
2:25 it's not "an arcade platform game", it's an arcade-STYLE platform game, as it was not in the arcade
Some great titles on show here! Feeling the 64 lurve! 😎 Good stuff!
Great thing is that we continue to see coders enter or re-enter the scene on a regular basis with a majority doing so without a monetary intention
l love your videos to discover new games to try games on the C64 core on my MisTer fpga
That is really nice of you to say. Most of my viewers are casual C64 fans who don’t survey the scene everyday. These round ups hopefully gives them all they need to know.
So many new and nearly all free!
Yes, i only realised at the end that only one of the games shown cost any money.
Very good video 👍🏻 thanx!!
All looks very promising.
Nice work ! ❤

C64 art continues to impress me. Cruiser X 79 was a disappointment though, hated the attack waves that approach from the bottom of the screen.
Waves coming from behind frustrate me no end and Cruiser X79 had its fair share. Like you I was a little let down by the game.
Many milliseconds of pleasure.
If interested you can watch Shallan50k making Pick n Mix on his twitch channel.
anyone know which software is used to draw the art?
Lester is awesome
Certainly is. I gave it another full play last night and it was great. It looks amazing playing it on a CRT with an RGB signal.
0:49 Doraemon vs pooka
"Commdore" - you might want to edit the title.
Oops, thanks for letting me know.
Oh yeah baybay!🤩
Lester is a platformer not action/adventure.
