Thank you very much for featuring Stranded Cats and the kind words about the project! 😁 I'll do my best to make the full version as awesome as possible 🙂
My absolute pleasure to showcase high quality work for the C64. Projects such as Stranded Cats are what the C64 scene needs if it is going to continue its current momentum of popularity.
Great presentation of Bill & Ted (C64). Thank you so much! I see that you invested quite a bit of time to look at and understand the game and its improvements. BTW: The game makes use of the rarely used full border which can be activated in VICE with the VICII-Setting: Display > VIC-II > Border Mode: "Full". Not that it matters gameplay-wise but you see a bit more of the Game Boy frame.
As a pixel artist I feel that way all the time looking at homebrew games Ie. "Game is cool, but it could look so much better.", programmer & artist collaborations are getting more common now but it's still a conflicted negotiation heh.🤔 I have to say a Brawl style game sounds most appealing, curious to see what kind of C64 inspired roster they come up with.😁 My initial reaction was kind of the same for B&T GB on C64, but the execution is really good taking on a Super Game Boy style border veneer that I'd like to see more GB titles ported this way.🙂
Stranded Cats looks good. Currently enjoying ToeJam and Earl on the Megadrive with my son (though he needs help at times) and I think he'd like Stranded Cats too.
Thanks for the video! Stranded Cats looks like a fun two player coop game. I love the graphics on that one. I've just started work on writing my own Commodore 64 game, which has been a childhood dream of mine. We'll see how far I get :)
A Pig Quest was the last game that spoke to me. And Lester and Muddy Racers before that. Now I am waiting for Yeti Mountain, if that's what it is called... Great video, as always.
I think Yeti Mountain is something special (but I am biased in this respect). We've poured a lot of passion into this project over the past 2-3 years and to see the game now effectively completed. Russell (the coder) and I often mention to each other how we wish we could experience the game with fresh eyes when it gets released. We still have a few cut scenes to draw up and Russell has to rearrange how the code is loaded up as we don't want to exceed the 512KB cart limit so that physical release does run into the same headwinds as A Pig Quest has experienced with its new 1MB cart format. Fingers crossed we can get over the line before the year end.
Hey, thanks for the feedback - active promotion while still providing constructive criticism is a key element of these videos. Not only is it important to promote our current day scene but I want to the benchmark of what is produce to be consistently to pushed as this benefits the scene as a whole.
Honestly, I enjoyed everything about this episode! What a nice line up of cool games (and almost cool games and cool games to be...) plus some really fabulous artwork! You sound like you have a cold though; if that's the case: hope you get well soon!
Thanks for the well wishes, I have been battling a nasty sinus infection for a couple of weeks. I am flattered that people can tell when my voice is extra nasally than usual.
You’re right, I have been battling a sinus infection for two weeks. I had three goes at recording audio commentary as I sounded worse the first two times but this weekend was going to be the only opportunity for me to push out a video for September so I had to accept the last take. Appreciate your well wishes.

@@LordmonkeyTRM Thank you so much ☺️

Thanks for the news! This is now a true compass for the c64 community!

Keep up the great work and info gathering. RetroGamerNation is truly fueling the fire for this reemerging c64 scene. Fantastic stuff!

Love it. I've tried to find time to learn ASM myself but just haven't had much success. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with in the future.
Just unreal how much good stuff still comes out for the C64. 🙂
An enjoyable round-up as always. Thanks for what you do Louie
Thanks for the round up, always looking forward to it.

Wish I started to follow your channel from the beginning... but I think I saw all of your videos 🎉
Thanks Bruno, as my #1 contributor I really feel blessed for all of your support.
Good to finally have psst, We've almost completed the ultimate collection. A game boy conversion opens up many future possibilities. Interesting.
The best C64 channel!!
Another great video.
A most excellent presentation mr c64 dude.
Thanks, and a party on dude 🤙
Some great games annoued again!
The Commodore, the 64!!😍
Rocky + Co. looks like Bruce with super souped up graphics.
Bruce? Do you mean Bruce Lee? If so then no it doesn't play anything like Bruce Lee. It is a modern day re-imagining of Goonies.
@@RetroGamerNation Oops, yes Bruce Lee. The screen layouts and the mechanic just look a lot like that game.
Man, sounds from your voice like you might be a bit under the weather here. If that's the case, I wish you a speedy recovery!
