Thank you for showing QIXSCII ❤️🥳. The game was made as part of a BASIC V2 programming challenge in the German Forum64 where the goal was to make a Qix clone in BASIC that is short AND fun. Compilers were allowed. The final BASIC listing is only about 200 lines (REM lines not counted). But that‘s the reason why it is quite bare 😂. But I like the simple style anyway.
The SNK vs. Capcom runs very smooth, character design is inspired from pocket fighters. This is how a fighting game should be no drops on frames and large sprites.
Hey thanks, the timing of this video was to support the release of Rocky & Co. SNK just popped up the day before the video release but since there have been a couple of preview demos released prior for it, it wasn’t a drama to sneak it in for this video.
Thanks so much, just had a look and notice that subs just past 9K. The channel has always had slow and steady growth (no spikes) so 10K is probably at least 8 months away but it will be a wonderful achievement.

100% agree with you there, SNK vs CAPCOM seems to be pretty close to hitting the sweet spot. Maybe the music could be made a little better (it is not bad though).

AXFA will remain 1 game, 1 big game, but after such a long development time, I want to switch to short story adventure format,.. I have three game adventures in mind. Thanks again,.. Thanks for the correction Rhys, I misinterpreted your information as I thought doing 3 separate games roughly 6 months apart sounded like a massive effort.
No problem,.. Doing AXFA as such a large adventure, 3 years+, made me think that shorter adventure games are cool too,. Im really excited about the new stories I have, so i would like to see if 6 months a game works, now that I have an "engine" and tools. Huge effort for one dude!

Yeah, I don't remember the sprite being that good in the first game. They're really giving it an uplift.

Steel Ranger 2 looks like Turrican a lot, much more than the first game.

Initial thoughts on that fighter game is that we have possibly seen one of the best ever fighter games on the system.
