It should be noted that the absolute hands-down best feature of Random Pac is the fact that the dot-chomping sound isn't so shrill that it makes your ears bleed. This alone makes it the best Pac-Man clone.
Putting these round ups together with quality content is starting to get to be a real challenge - looks like the scene is heading back to its pre-2017 state when it comes to release quality. Might be a little while before the next one comes out.
@@RetroGamerNation GREAT video as always! When you said "the scene is heading back to its pre-2017 state when it comes to release quality" did you mean quality or quantity? I ask because it was sounding like you were taking about the amount of software being released.
@@RetroGamerNation Keep us posted no matter what. You could do spotlight features of selected games too, the quality of the releases is still incredible.
For the Blue64, you would want to be using a decent power supply, Commodore specify that external devices (carts etc) can combined, only draw a maximum of 400mA. Wifi alone can draw that let alone the microcontroller used to drive it or any other modern cartridge you may also have plugged in.
Nice to know. My C64C has power issues with a Chameleon64 plugged into it and needs to be powered up first with the cartridge off to "warm up". Anyone tried it with an Ultimate 64?
I know its getting harder...but maybe some special with the most obscure but fun old games should be interesting... Lots of channels reviewing always the same famous game Great round as always
Yes it does according to SPL. The only thing is that you will need a ribbon cable to be able to locate the adapter in a location that will still allow you to close the case. Would be really handy if SPL designed an adapter for the U64 as well.
C64 will never die
well said!
Omg the quality of graphics is amazing! And having a pixel perfect rendition of super classic Pacman with smooth vertical scroll is awesome too!
Ah sweet! You're back, and lovely timing too! Love the magazine style format it's boss

Hi! I'm the author of Iowa Jack. Nice to see it included in your round up! :-)
Wished us NTSC users weren't left in the dark. LOL
I always look forward to your videos mate.
You know how long I've been waiting for this? Wooh! I'm boutta make a name for myself.

@@RetroGamerNation I am not done with the old breadbin yet :)
I loved 'Treasure Island' on the C64
GREAT NEWS!!! Thank you!!! 👍
Greetings, DOKTOR64! Keeps C64 alive!!! 😉
Big thumbs up for Mineshaft Gap. It does take a bit to figure out what to do, but once you get a hang of it, it is addictive.
Another great episode from RGN! Unfortunate how many devs think NTSC doesn't matter. I am looking forward to trying Iowa Jack, though!
Thanks for another much appreciated C64 round up!
it's never a slow C64 month when we get one of your videos!
Great stuff. Some interesting titles on the way.
Thanks for the update, i always look forward to your videos. A lot of good games there. C64 forever! 🙂
River Barrage 14:33 reminds us of Spy Hunter in ways, nice pacman seen here too👍
Great video ;) thanks!
Excellent as always. Everything stops when you release a new video.
Great video!
C64 our past, our future
Great vid
Thank you. Nice Video
I remember Splatch when it was a magazine type-in game on the Amstrad CPC, back in the 1980s. It was spread out over something like six issues of ACU.
@@AnthonyFlack I knew it was familiar
Best PC ever build.

Very good point. I have been using a modern day PSU and can see how you might get into trouble with older PSUs.

Not a bad idea Bruno, there are lots of old games I haven't tried out yet.
Another great issue.
C64 4TW!
Too bad so many of these games leave out NTSC support. :-(
It's because most of these productions are made in Europe, where PAL was standard.
Wheres the link to the free Bee52 download?
Thanks for calling this out. Direct download links to both Bee 52 and Starfysh have been added to the video description.
@@RetroGamerNation Great, thank you :)
Is it possible to install Blu64 and still keep playing with the normal wired joysticks (since ports are free) if needed?
yes, you wouldn't even know you have it installed until you pair a controller/keyboard
@@sideprojectslab7352 great thanks!
Is it working with Ultimate64 as well?

Just found out that it will not work with the new MkII model of the U64 that is coming out later this year.
i wouldn't mind another/new pac man clone. 🙄
