After Charlie's comment I checked your channel. 😳 Amazing! Nine months since the last video. Still in shape? Post a few more if you have time. You are truly inspirational.
You guys have helped me immensely. Your videos on the McKenzie exercises helped me heal a herniated disc, your bands are helping me to regain strength, and your videos with variations on standard exercises are helping me to make huge changes in my body and lifestyle. Thank you both so much!!!
Recurring wrist issues prevent standard push-ups. My old knees keep me off the floor. 😉 So, I stick with the push off from the walls. Works decently, better than doing nothing. 🤷♀️
I am glad BOB is still making videos, I been watching them for years. I FEEL LIKE I KNOW THEM. All I can say is Bob “MUCHAS BENDICIONES” and keep making those videos because 4.5 million people are waiting to see them GRACIAS BOB.
I'd used to do similar exercises a few months ago and then one day out of the blue I succeeded to do one. Was so happy and started telling my closest friends. Now I can do 8-14. Tbh I do pushups like once a week but if I were to do them more often I'd be able to do 20+ in 2 months
Number five (shoulder blade push-ups) was a breakthrough for me! It's an incredibly useful exercise and I've never seen it anywhere else. As an overweight (but already losing weight) individual, I didn't think I would get to the full push-up level in two months. Thanks for the help!
Thank you both for these excercises and tips. Im working on strengthening my low back after alot of pain and your videos are great resources. Thank you for being there!
It only takes persistence. I started out at -0-.! I now do 15 , 2 sets each after 3 months. They are the “old man”push-ups for those guys over 75 (me!) this push up is the kneeling variant w/ good form. The key is to try every day, w/o fail! It will work, just keep at it. I started a general workout hitting all areas w/ a band workout ( your bands!) ten months ago. Keep up your good work, I suspect you know how effective you are, by now!
Much appreciated guys ❤ my family has weird joint issues so when I try to do a pushup unless I lock my shoulders they roll out of place, it's impossible for me to do a "proper" one at the moment I successfully did 20 of the wall version (using my El Camino as a wall 😂
Thanks to you guys I’ve been doing the wall push-ups everyday everywhere I go. I’m doing 30 in a row now. Sometimes I place my palms higher or lower to work different parts of my muscles. I think you had said it’s weight bearing and good for osteopenia. So I’ve been doing them. My arms feel taught after. Thanks so much! ~💪🏼❤️😊
Bob & Brad, these ideas were great, can we have some ''push-off/dips'' video too, maybe off the floor, between some books etc etc, we need to get people active and stronger. : )
On my local walking pathway there is an area setup with exercise equipment. I tried to chin the bar, but failed miserably. I think the bar may have been faulty.
using stairs is a better option than the wall or table... and the top landing is better than knee push-ups (using a slight pike at the hip to shorten the lever)
I am 300 lbs. I tore my shoulder, arm, and back/SI joint/hip a year ago when thrown from a offroad machine. . Even doing girl push ups I can only do 10 to 12 and my wrist feel like they are going to snap. Pain in shoulder between rotary cuff. Due to the sharp pain I started to use 2 20lb dumbells and lay on a medical table and do chest presses. I do 3 x 15 then I repeat a second 3 x 15 at the end of my workout. The first set of 3 I feel the rotary cuff working hard at count 18 of 35, and the second set of 3 x 15 I start to feel it after just doing 10. Every other day. I also do chair curls. 10 lbs per arm 3 x 10 ct. I also do about 6 pulley machine resistance weighted exercises for my shoulder, arms, back, I also do box lifting PT exercises ground to waist, waist to shoulder, shoulder to above head, and carry, and 150 lb sled 50 ft. I'm doing a 4 hr a day Occupational heavy lifting PT rehab. 2 months timeframe. Starting weight 327 lbs. I have lost 27 lbs, need to lose 80 lbs more and get down to 220 lbs, on Keto diet.
Hello Bob & Brad. I do enjoy, and appreciate your segments.Thank you. Had a triple bi pass about 6 months ago. Want to get back into shape. Especially to unload the COVID pounds from last 2 yrs. Also suffer occasional gout flareups which can be brutal on legs and feet. Recommendations Lads? I might have to adopt you Lads. Irish Bob appreciates all your efforts.🏋️♂️😇😎
How or what can we workout when we have costrocondritis. Every movement hurts...even when I'm not feeling injured, a random flex can flare up the cartilage. Help!
Starting next week because I am busy I am going to commit to this every day until I can do 10 push-ups then I'll do these and the push-ups. I am 14 and am very weak from lack of exercise not fat just weak. It's hard but I am gonna do as much as I can
Hello, just wanted to say how much I love your videos. You had a video about doing 1 exercise everyday will change our posture. It was the W for winner. I do this everyday and it makes a huge difference. I do all your exercises. I am here in the SF Bay Area, home of the 49ers. You two have so much information about proper posture and how to improve. Thank you very much and keep them coming. Thank you
Done some pushups for first time in years.. did 3 sets of 10 ,and now my right hand feels very weak ,struggle to text etc weird feeling making fist ..can push ups cause weakness ?
How come I get back pain after I do push ups? That's why I hate push ups. I make sure my back is straight, I activate my abs and glutes and all that good stuff, still, it makes my back miserable.
Hard to say for sure but if you are experiencing pain, we recommend not doing them. Try them this way in this video and see if that alleviates your pain
Lifetime bests extremely straight body chest touch to full lock were 100 and 50 in 1min ... Now to be kind to joints and realistic on age I do yoga-style w/ fingers outward... far more movement sensible than the overly artificial "strict" western style
@@BobandBrad You guys do a great job, but sometimes you seem like you are competing, or impatient with each other. Whatever it is , glad you are not mad and keep it up. I really enjoy your videos and learn a lot.

Samey-same. 🙄
Congratulations

I was told the first pushup exercise was "push aways''' push away the seconds, push away from the dining table, push away from the sweets...
Lol
Oh very nice!
I used to do sets of fifty just a year ago. Chemo and radiation took all my muscles. Rebuilding from scratch with pushups.
Thank you! Great advice as I try once and give up normal PU

Thanks for this video. I find it so depressing that 25 years ago I could do 50 sternum to the ground pushups and now 5 would be challenging.
We understand but you can get back!
Left wrist has metal plate. Shoulder is not my problem.
Gotcha, sorry to hear that
Just watching Bob perform #5 made my rotator cuff ache and burn. If you had rotator cuff issues in the past is that really a good exercise?

I'm so weak that I feel dizzy even breathing or move. Would exercise like this help??
Bob and Brad, how do you breathe as you perform a pushup? Exhale on the way down and inhale on the way up? Thank you.
What’s better for health? Push-ups or pull-ups?
They are both benefiical
If I had frozen shoulder should I avoid push ups?
Yes, we would recommend you avoid them until your frozen shoulder heals. After that, however, you should be able to do them again.
Super
Thanks!!!! 💙💙💙🤗🤗🤗
