Thanks for the help with the Heart pattern! I was in Walmart and of course had to look at the yarn. A skein of pink colors spoke to me and I brought it home and have made the center of the blanket for my sweet daughter who is very ill with many illnesses including now the COVID. She lives about 5 hours away now so I will probably make her a quick blanket for Valentines Day, hence the Heart Center, and mail it to her. Thank you so very much for a wonderful 1st time using tutorials!
you’re such a gem for uploading this pattern as a video and for providing the link. i appreciate your time and to make this fun hobby accessible to all 🦋❤️
I've been looking for a different way to make a Granny square for a blanket I want to make as a gift, and this is perfect! Thank you for such a straightforward and easy to follow tutorial! ❤
Love your videos, I learnt how to crochet after hours of watching your videos and now I make blankets for the babies I work with! I'd love to know how to do a daisy in a granny square, that's my new challenge! Thank you so much x
Thank you so much for this. Have re watched several times and have now mastered the square. Now to make more for my grandchild due in December. Such clear plain and understandable instructions. Highly recommend.
I love all your tutorials your so clear iv started my very first c2c blanket by watching your video, thank you so much for your tutorials because if it wasn't for you I wouldn't know how to crochet so thank you so much xx
Two & a half years ago I decided to learn a hobby. I came to You Tube & found Bella Coco & all your beautiful, talented, easy to follow videos. Before long I was SC,DC,TC, FPDC etc all because of Bella.😊!!! Then my daughter said I had made a mistake with my dc. I, of course told her she was so far wrong. Then I proceeded to show her you video. Where my daughter very nicely advised me.I learned to crochet the English ( not sure if that is the proper term) way lol We live in the USA.😂 So it was not a big deal. Funny more than anything. I just thought you might enjoy. Thank you for the lol & for teaching me a hobby that allows me to gift not only friends, family but strangers as well.😊💞🤗
LOL it can be so confusing the UK and US terms even though they are the same stitch just using different terms. It would be so much easier if everyone used the same terms. Thank you for your lovely comments and I am so glad that I have been of help to you :)
Love this pattern. I know it has a lot of tails. But I prefer that to crocheting dropping one color and dragging it along til it’s used again. So glad I was able to do this.
This is so simple! I learned to crochet when I was about 6 years old but haven't done much with it since until about 2 years ago. I watched some of your videos on here and now I'm able to crochet quite a few things and have made baby blankets for all my coworkers who recently had babies (five to be exact) as well as an afghan for myself. Thanks for keeping your instructions so clear and simple and keep it up!!!
Thank you so much, What a pretty blanket this would make for a little girl's room. I prefer to sew in my ends, right color to right color. It's much neater and doesn't have all those loose ends hanging about. It's more work, but the outcome is worth it. Thanks again. :)
I've been learning to crochet through your videos since last summer. And I created a blanket pattern using this granny square. I'm not through making it, it's for my little sister, but I'd love to share it with you. I kinda suck with graph paper, but I have it drawn out in my sketch book. I follow you on Facebook as well. But your videos have truly inspired me, and helped me learn. I'm still getting the reading patterns down, I'm more of the watch and learn type. Thank you for being such an amazing teacher ❤
For some reason my phone isn't giving me the option to comment a picture on here, but I am in your Facebook group, and will be posting it when I'm done. I have also drawn inspiration from 2 other videos of yours and made patterns for them! I'd really love to share them with u to get your opinion of them, just not publicly. I'll understand your hesitation, or just not wanting to msg me in private. I have the second pattern drawn out as well, and will also post the completed project (it's just gonna be a little longer). Continuing to drawn inspiration from u ❤
This is awesome I just did that you're really great❤ I really love all your videos your explanation is great. I learned crochet watching your videos thank you so much.
Honestly just beautiful! I am going to make several of these and make them as a bag. Probably will use pale rose and parma violet - will post a pic on Instagram and tag you when it's done!
Hello my name is Leala I have started making granny squares and I forgot how to count out the squares for the blanket you are making I am making a queen size one so if you could help that would be great thanks
Hello, I watch your pretty video for a while now. I also make video tutorial, but in Italian. You were right to put the logo of your shop on video, because I just found you had a shop by yours social media... sorry for the bad english, I love your work and your constancy.
Hi Sarah-Jayne, I am loving this tutorial. I am so excited to try this one for sure. I have a friend who's expecting, these granny squares will make a great baby blanket border! Thank so much for sharing this with us. Your faithful follower, Kathy B. (fairylady0227)
I'm having trouble with where I'm supposed to stop, also you don't show how. I'm kind of a beginner. Thanks for the beautiful work and lessons! I would like to make a small afghan from using a light blue and off white square. Thanks again!
Love your videos! I know this one is old, but I'm wondering if one could just continue the pattern and make it as big as you want for a blanket? Or would that not look right? Still learning, thank you!
Thanks again, another great tutorial, did two of the first and moved right on to this with no problem, I'd love to share a picture! What would be a good source?
Love the heart!! You actually go a little to fast for me (a beginner) to keep up. Lol... I really need to learn this.... thank goodness for rewind and play a 150 times... jk. Beautiful work though.
I know this is an old video, but is there one where you put your squares together without the border? I made these heart squares, some with pink hearts with cream border and then I flipped the colors and did cream hearts with pink border. I would like to put them together in a blanket. I don't know of another color to use for the ridge border or do a seamless border. HELP
I personally feel as though I'm a step above beginner. but honestly the add said that it was a step by step tutorial and I'm having problems keeping up. I know that you said in the video that it wasn't for beginners but i'd rather you fast forward than skip and meet us back.
If you wanted to make a bigger square in the middle it would mean adjusting the rest of the pattern for the heart; the easiest way to increase the size is to use thicker yarn and/or a bigger hook 😊
If you wanted to make the heart bigger you would need to recalculate the pattern. The written instructions for the original are over on my blog: bellacococrochet.com/granny-square-heart/ 😊

Fell in love with your granny square at first sight❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
Love this pattern. I know it has a lot of tails. But I prefer that to crocheting dropping one color and dragging it along til it’s used again. So glad I was able to do this.
Thank you for this tutorial, I have made five for my 3 niece's and 2 nephew's, I love them so much they break my heart sometimes.

Hi Sarah-Jayne,
I am loving this tutorial. I am so excited to try this one for sure. I have a friend who's expecting, these granny squares will make a great baby blanket border! Thank so much for sharing this with us.
Your faithful follower,
Kathy B. (fairylady0227)
Love this 💗💗💗
I really like the latter method it looks more professional and little hands don't pull them out
I'm having trouble with where I'm supposed to stop, also you don't show how. I'm kind of a beginner. Thanks for the beautiful work and lessons! I would like to make a small afghan from using a light blue and off white square. Thanks again!
Fantastic tutorial, thank you so much
Very cute thank you
You’re welcome 😊
Stunning
Love your videos! I know this one is old, but I'm wondering if one could just continue the pattern and make it as big as you want for a blanket? Or would that not look right? Still learning, thank you!
Thank you! 😊 Yes, you can just continue to add rounds to the granny square as you normally would to make a blanket with a heart in the middle.
This is awesome! Great tutorial!
Thanks again, another great tutorial, did two of the first and moved right on to this with no problem, I'd love to share a picture! What would be a good source?
AT moment 2:35 i was like "you have a parrot?"
aslo,my colors are the same as your colors
Love the heart!! You actually go a little to fast for me (a beginner) to keep up. Lol... I really need to learn this.... thank goodness for rewind and play a 150 times... jk. Beautiful work though.
Thank you, have you tried slowing down the video and/or pausing so that you can catch up ? Good luck :)
How do i crochet a christmas tree in the granny square?
I love it
Hi SJ, would you be able to make a left handed version? My first round is going triangular XD
I don't have a left handed tutorial for this one at the moment :)
I know this is an old video, but is there one where you put your squares together without the border? I made these heart squares, some with pink hearts with cream border and then I flipped the colors and did cream hearts with pink border. I would like to put them together in a blanket. Hi🙋where did you purchase your sewing needle case please.
8:53 - he he name? Description? I love how flawless your work is SJ/BC but how you are still human.
urgh, sometimes the editor does this and I have no idea why! xx
Amazing!!!
Is there a left-handed video for this? Thank you.
I don't have a left handed video for this one at the moment :)
If you wanted to make it bigger... how would it be done?
I personally feel as though I'm a step above beginner. but honestly the add said that it was a step by step tutorial and I'm having problems keeping up. I know that you said in the video that it wasn't for beginners but i'd rather you fast forward than skip and meet us back.
“This tutorial is not to teach you how to make a granny square”
Me: uses it to learn how to make a granny square
Can this heart be made bigger. By just making more rows or will it make look funny.
Hi Debbie12 you could make the outer bit bigger but if you wanted to make the heart bigger you would have to recalculate the pattern :)
Thanx alot
I have a doubt if we want a little big heart with same size needle can we make one more square in the middle?
If you wanted to make a bigger square in the middle it would mean adjusting the rest of the pattern for the heart; the easiest way to increase the size is to use thicker yarn and/or a bigger hook 😊
@@bellacococrochet thank you 🙏, and I am your biggest fan 🙇♀️
wow 💟
Is it possible to make the heart bigger please ???
hi is there any way of doing a heart granny square without having to cut year when changing colour plzzzz
You could carry it through but it will be able to see it through your second colour :)
Thank you so much for your reply
Is there a written pattern for this granny square? Thanks!
You can find the written pattern on my blog - blog.bellacococrochet.com/granny-square-heart/ :)
If I wanted to make the heart bigger for a bigger square how would I do that?
If you wanted to make the heart bigger you would need to recalculate the pattern. The written instructions for the original are over on my blog: bellacococrochet.com/granny-square-heart/ 😊
Thank you❤❤❤
nice😍😍😍
I love your work, but for some reason I can not make a granny square to save my life
could you write out the pattern because I have watch the video 3 times and I know the pattern but not off the top off my head I but would be a lot quicker just to read the pattern
You can find the written pattern on my blog - blog.bellacococrochet.com/granny-square-heart/ :)
Lindo demais
do you have a pattern for the granny heart square
Hi Cynthia here is the link for the granny heart square ruclips.net/video/-bAN1NgxVnM/видео.html :)
Do you have a written pattern
The written pattern can be found on my blog - blog.bellacococrochet.com/granny-square-heart/ :)
You mean double because trouble is where u wrap 3 and get four
It depends on where you live. She is using UK terms. UK uses different terms than everywhere else.
L O V E
🤙🙏
I don't know how to sew them
This is not a treble crochet - this is double crochet. For treble you yarn over twice!!!
I work in UK terms so a UK treble is a US double, it's the same stitch just different terminology :)
That is a D.c
Martha Hampton as I state In the video, I’m talking in UK terms.
