Completely agree, if you’re not willing to train it into muscle memory, don’t get one, it’ll cause more harm than good!
Facts! You gotta have the self awareness to understand it’s something new that you are t familiar with and you need to create the habit.
Agreed!
My man seems to change his carry gun on a weekly basis? 😁 I have one gun with a manual safety a Taurus G2C. Is it really a gun? 😂
@davidhudson2527 😂 I’m an enthusiast not a collector. But I do have a couple I’ll rotate through. lol
The first few pistols that I carried had a manual safety and that was my primary concern: train to take it off. My mom taught my brother and I how to shoot beginning with bb guns with safeties and a Savage bolt action .22 lr so the concept of the safety was ingrained. The first striker fired pistol I bought without a manual safety was a Canik TP9 SFX. Even with my AR's I train with the concept of safety on/safety off. Very valid point regardless! If it's not part of your training, get something that goes bang every time you reach for it and remember to keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are aligned.
100% spot on! The only safety i need is my brain! I met a guy a long time ago that owned a jewelry store. He was robbed at gunpoint. He was carrying a Beretta 92 with manual safety. He beat the robber on draw to first shot. Only problem was the SAFETY WAS ON! In the heat of the moment he forgot to turn it off! He got shot several times and almost died! If your not willing to train, train, train then you are MUCH better off not having a manual safety! But hey I'm just some guy on the internet commenting to some guy on the internet! 🤓
I’ve seen a similar video with a man who thought he was safer not carrying a round in the chamber. He was dead before he got one ready.
I've ran both. Like everyone else. Just train. Be Ready NOT Get Ready
100%, great to put it!
Train! Run what you are comfortable with and train, then train some more when you are done train.
Preach it 🙌🏼. Regardless of what you’re going to carry if you don’t train with it you’re going to find it more useless than helpful
