Just handling one made me appreciate the old Uncle Mike's nylon IWB holster I wear daily. Solidly constructed from heavy nylon with a thumb strap that is adjustable/removeable. It also includes a pouch that holds two extra magazines for my single stack Slick Willy era .40S&W or one for a 9 Minimal I no longer carry. I've owned one belly band holster, and it had the same problem, due to lightweight materials. It promptly collapsed upon drawing making rebolstering very difficult at best. People seem to ignore the fact that these are made for compact guns. They are not made to carry hand cannons lol. A small compact 9 is all you need for edc. No holster that is comfortable and concealable is going to work for larger guns and especially one's with a huge red dot.
Probably true, though a LOT of folks are carrying full size pistols with optics and lights (totally unnecessary for civilian defensive carry). Thanks for watching.
I'm looking to carry in more of a cross draw position and the pistol angle in the VNSH holster would be completely wrong for me. But the flexible belt isn't a bad idea. That said, I have a sewing machine and I know how to use it. I've already sewn a fanny pack holster from Codura and I still have a lot of Codura leftover from that project with which to make a waist band. But I would be more inclined to attach an existing holster that worked well to the waist band.
Really? Where can I get a personal guarantee that I won't be in a self defense situation at night? There's a good reason why LE uses lights. And good luck in any criminal/civil trial where you shot and innocent bystander that might be behind your intended target because you fired a gun in the dark. If a $200 weapons light is overrated, I'll go with that option any day...@@RidersRange
@billk2379, law enforcement officers have a mission to go after the bad guys, so they are justified in searching and identifying with a light mounted on their weapons. Non-sworn citizens don't have the same mission and can be charged criminally if they point a gun with a mounted light at someone just to identify that person. Mount a light on your concealed carry gun or home defense gun if you want, but I highly recommend that you do your searching with a hand-held light.
@@RidersRange - Agree but that's a totally different scenario. I am not advocating pointing a weapon mounted light at someone just to ID them - that would likely constitute aggravated assault. What I am saying is that IF you need to draw your weapon in self defense (the only time you ever should), it would be better to have enough light to identify anyone behind your attacker.
The point about preferring the additional magazine on the support side was something I hadn't thought about before. Good point! PS, please stay off the tennis courts. Good luck
So you can wear this with sweats or shorts and it indeed vnsh’es. If you’re already wearing a belt then you’re right … a typical holster is just as good. But these are very comfortable 👍
I just purchased the M&P Compact and haven't tested it yet. (Review in the works.) If it passes my evaluation, I may carry it while my right arm is out of action. Thanks for watching.
I just came across this video because I was looking into holsters. You made mention "why don't they just make the sale price the regular price". There's something called the JC Penny effect. JC Penny actually had a CEO that believed this and did just that. The problem they found was that folks stopped shopping in their stores because they didn't run sales because everything was a sale pricing. Folks would go to Walmart and see something on sale and then go to JC and see the prices very close together but then would ask what the sale price on those items would be. The problem has to do with the human psyche and the manipulation over decades with "sales". You could mark something UP $2 but if you put the word "sale" next to it then they are more likely to buy that item because they "believe" they are getting a deal. JC Penny about went bankrupt and then marked all their prices back up just so they could run sales again and they recovered. Your average person is too ignorant, lazy, or brainwashed to fully understand how things work and instead prefer to be manipulated because that means it's less work for them in the end. That is why things are on "perpetual sale".
You have said it. I bought an office chair two days ago. It was on sale for $200 off. Sounds fantastic right? $200 off!!! Wow!. I had been looking at chairs for the last several months, and I'm 99% certain that the regular price is the same that I paid. It actually IS a great chair for the price I paid, and I'm very happy so far. If the leather holds up, then I would be thrilled at the price point I paid. Hard to fool the man that does his homework.....and I have little doubt that you do your homework as well. Great comment you posted. KUDOS
@@davidgraham2673 I do make mistakes though but I've known about this for ten years and I have worked in retail in my lifetime. I've done Service/repair for most of my adult life but did restaurants for 10 as well since I was a teen. I never did understand the concept till I had heard about this. I thought it was brilliant but the human psyche doesn't acknowledge brilliance easily and prefers to believe they don't need to think. I know many sales men who lie to get the sale and it's not because lying is necessarily what they want to do but rather a tool in their arsenal because most folks in charge are not interested in honestly but rather having their egos stroked. Its why you have major corps with seeming bad leadership when it's more about them believing their time is valuable rather than their workers' efficiency.
@sgt_s4und3r54, I understand the concept and the process, but I much prefer good old fashion straight forward honesty. That's also why I absolutely detest the process of buying a car. Thanks for adding the information.
There is a sort of trigger guard, but I haven't used the holster since doing the review. Yes, it is relatively comfortable, but it doesn't give me the quick access I want in a daily carry rig.
OK. This is a deal breaker for me then. I was interested but once I saw that the sig p320 did not fit, then I would not be able to use this. I like the concept of it but the execution seems to need more work. Personally I think the idea of the fabric is a good one. But what they should have done is have mounting points to add your own holsters to it.
I may be old school, but for me, nothing beats a quality leather holster. Having said that, I find that I am using Kydex holsters more than leather these days. But fabric holsters just don't give me the control I want (need). Thanks for watching and commenting.
The cant aids in concealment and is not that big of deal (to me) in appendix. I cut the retention strap off. The all-day comfort I get with this is worth not getting a full grip on it with my lcp max. Trade-offs for everything.
You are correct - trade-offs. If you are willing to sacrifice getting a full grip and a rapid draw in exchange for comfort, that is obviously a trade-off you are comfortable with. Thanks for watching.
Nice review. Could you confirm there is some sort of plastic insert with the 2.0 version for trigger guard protection? I purchased one recently that appears to have fixed the issue with the fold on the retaining strap, but I don't know if any changes were made for trigger guard? Mine does not have any hard plastic inside the holster like I thought they were planning to modify. My holster was delivered last week.
The area over the trigger is somewhat rigid and I wasn't able to access the trigger through the material. I didn't dissect the holster to see just what makes it rigid.
Ok thanks. I just wanted you to confirm there was not a plastic insert. It sounds like nothing changed on the 2.0 version from the original regarding trigger protection. @@RidersRange
I spoke with a company rep today who confirmed the level two retention strap issue was resolved and also that additional plastic was, in fact, now being manufactured into the holster.
Not sure I believe what the company rep told you. So, they fixed the retention strap on mine that was delivered 3 weeks ago but now they are adding the plastic trigger guard that was supposed to be added to mine.@@Bill_Maine
The problem with the holster is once you go to the website they try to sell you 15 other things. The holster works best as a driving holster. Not really good for walking around a lot.
We love your bravo bravo presentations and your service. This holster did NOT pass muster regarding the stitching. It will start to come undone and then because it’s China-made it WILL (and did on us) come apart quickly. Machine stitching must be done correctly for critical gear to stay tightly together AND also glued seams. That’s why we thumb down it. Best is US MADE. Buy hand saddle stitched if you can cough up a few more bucks. Also, that this holster doesn’t allow cant angle adjustment, not good. The gun’s best safety device is a well made holster FOR THE PARTICULAR MAKE AND MODEL so the trigger well is COVERED.
Today, March 26, 2024, I spoke to a company rep who said only the materials are made in the US but material is shipped to China for assembly and then shipped back. If you are not opposed to foreign made products, then you have no problem.
when you watch videos like this, they get you retargeted and just keep delivering ads to you the more you click on their stuff. Until you buy. Then you still get their ads. On the plus side, that means they are making money to pay for ads which means people are buying, hence, social proof that it must be at least an ok holster. Question is, what does their returns look like?
@@RidersRange prob most comfortable over a tucked in shirt, but under the pants/waist line -- while wearing a loose fitting shirt over it. If you just want a t-shirt to wear for the day, it should be a baggy one, imo.
It's the current trend and a red dot optic does have some advantages, particularly for aging eyes. But it's certainly not necessary for a private citizen on a concealed carry pistol. Thanks for watching.
Myself I think having optics on a pistol is a waste of limited and precious $$$. A guy is five feet from you and lunging at you, you aren't going to need optics. We are talking personal self defense here. Save the optics for your AR and your AR-style shotgun, both of which I have.
So I’m still new to firearms, I have an sig P320X and I’ve been looking for a cc holster. I know you went through a lot of different guns but as a noob is this a decent holster for my gun?
I would say what do you wear? In this dudes opionion if yr not rocking a bunch of sweats or athletic shorts I would say a regular ITW holster molded to yr weapon is better. Also get one that's optic cut, with potentially a light option. I like the idea of the vnsh. But I personally don't dress in a way that it would be necessary. Something to take into account. Hope this helps homie. Welcome to the kool kids club!
OK, a lot of these guns are bigger guns that I don't expect to be CC realistically, so for me the first half of your vid is a waste of time. Will the VNSH CC hide a Glock 42? That's my CC gun, and realistically it's the biggest true compact pistol other than a derringer type or snub nose 38, but I'm not a fan of revolvers, never have been. Too many moving parts. BTW I live in AZ where open carry in public places outdoors is legal. For these bigger guns I'd just buy a side arm Wild West type holster. I bought my wife a tiny Ruger that she can actually carry in her purse so she can get by without a CC holder. I'm not going to start carrying a purse tho LOL
My daughter went to school in Prescott. I found it interesting to see folks not only open carrying, but riding a horse to WalMart while packing a 1911 in a leather holster. As to carrying larger guns, I know many folks who carry full-size pistols and conceal them very well (AIWB). Thanks for watching and commenting.
They are mostly small guns. I carry a P226, so I find it strange that someone is complaining about an sig p365, Glock 43, M17, Glock 19 and other small guns put in the holster.
been using this holster and a few other IWB holsters for the past 3 months here in the peoples republic of NJ and this is my favorite to carry my sig 365xl specter ..only real gripe i have is i wish there were 2 retention straps for the mags but that isn't a deal breaker for me
I haven't heard of 3-Speed, so I checked the website. Looks interesting. I like the custom fit, not just for the wearer, but also custom for the gun. Those are advantages over the VNSH.
Those who have access to high-speed Internet take it for granted. But there are literally millions of folks in the United States, and many more in other countries, who don't have that kind of access. But thanks for watching.
@@RidersRange I wasn't going to mention MRT, but that's where I always buy my holsters from...Kevin does an amazing job, and in my opinion, the very best fitted Kydex holsters made.
I don't have a cc holster bc I don't cc EVER. In fact I don't even own a firearm. Never would. But if I did I'd grab something like the tiny bersa holster that perfectly houses one of my Thunder 380's if I were to ever have one. It doesn't hold anything other than the tool. I know this bc I've seen it a lot. I don't have one nor would I bc I don't even have a firearm nor would I. It's just a small piece of leather but does loosen from the belt clip after a couple yrs and I'm sure that time would be even shorter for those who cc daily. I wouldn't know. I have nothing to cc.
I'm 12 weeks post-surgery and I feel about 75%. Range of motion and strength are improving each week with good physical therapy. Bummer that yours didn't go as well.
@RidersRange that's good to hear. They waited a long time, plus I had tendens cut and moved and bone shaved, plus the rotar cuff fixed. About 9 months later TOS set in. Basically carpal tunnel syndrome symptoms but it comes from the chest. 24 years.
I'm sorry you feel that way. I bought this with the hope it would work for me, but after trying it, I believe it is over-hyped on social media. I just call 'em like I see 'em.
Then what kind of holster would you recommend for conceal carry that isn't terribly uncomfortable? I absolutely hate inside the waist carry and open carry is not an option. This belly band option seemed like a possible as alternative.
@scottgood7888 It depends on how you're going to use it. I guess if you're going to use it around the house or in your bath robe, then it should be alright. If you plan on carrying it to the store or every day, then I recommend something with retention. You may want to get pants with a larger waist to accommodate an IWB. OWB is also an option depending on your clothing.
@frankm2385 I'll never buy pants to big just to accommodate carrying a weapon. Seems ridiculous to me. What happens when you don't carry that day? You can't wear your clothes? 😆 Absurd
@scottgood7888 That retention strap isn't much of a retention strap. In fact, in my opinion, it's more of a "False sense of security strap." There's a retention that keeps your fun from falling out and a retention that resists others from taking your gun. They don't call it Vanish for nothing. Lol
You might want to watch it again. At 4:15 in the video I tried the Glock 19 with an optic. When I first inserted the gun the rear of the trigger guard area behind the trigger was exposed, but certainly not the "trigger assembly". I even commented on that. Then I pushed the gun farther into the holster to where there was no exposure of the trigger guard area behind the trigger. But at no time was the trigger exposed when the Glock was seated in the holster. I also showed two other smaller Glock pistols and neither had the trigger exposed. When the Sig P320 M17 with an optic was inserted, the trigger itself was exposed, and I mentioned that. So, I believe I did provide "good info". But thanks for watching.
Great video Rider. Always wondered about those. Learned a lot

It's a good thing to be inventive and capable. Thanks for watching.
Last I checked didn't have a decent light cut option. I don't rock a ton of athletic shorts so I don't need one. Maybe I'll try it out.
Thanks for watching.
Good review 👍
Cool idea but no way to use a pistol with a light and that's kind of a deal breaker for me. Great review!
Lights on concealed carry pistols for non-law enforcement are over rated. But thanks for watching.
Really? Where can I get a personal guarantee that I won't be in a self defense situation at night? There's a good reason why LE uses lights. And good luck in any criminal/civil trial where you shot and innocent bystander that might be behind your intended target because you fired a gun in the dark. If a $200 weapons light is overrated, I'll go with that option any day...@@RidersRange
honest question then because i am of the same mind set. what holster would you use?@@billk2379
Good luck
This shoulder thing really messed up my pickleball game. Oh, wait. I've never played pickleball. Thanks for watching.😎
Problem - you still need to wear a belt. So why not just use a Kore gun belt???? Holds up your pants and the gun. Love mine.
I'm with you on that. (I'm wearing a KORE Essentials belt right now.) Thanks for watching.
So you can wear this with sweats or shorts and it indeed vnsh’es. If you’re already wearing a belt then you’re right … a typical holster is just as good. But these are very comfortable 👍
Good review!
Nice. So that You means You carry nów s&w mp compact fde ?
I just purchased the M&P Compact and haven't tested it yet. (Review in the works.) If it passes my evaluation, I may carry it while my right arm is out of action. Thanks for watching.
Great review, my only question.. Does it print when you have a shirt over it?
It depends on what you are carrying and your body type.

@@RidersRange much respect. I appreciated your honesty in this review.
I like LAG (like a glove) holsters, they are hand made in Reno Nevada and are kydex. Maybe you could do a review of one.
smart - thanks - hope the shoulder heals f a s t.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
Hows this holster setup work for you still? Im wanting to know is that. On the inside of the pistol pouch. Does it have a trigger guard in it?
There is a sort of trigger guard, but I haven't used the holster since doing the review. Yes, it is relatively comfortable, but it doesn't give me the quick access I want in a daily carry rig.
@@RidersRange good evening. Ok. Thank you for your information
@@RidersRange This tells me what I wanted to know as well, it'll be a pass from me. Thanks for the video.
👍 great review.
Umm umm hey I kind of forgot about the holster because im wondering if you are having A firearm garage sell lol Nice Review.
No sales. I'll let my kids sell what they don't want after I'm gone. Thanks for watching.
The only good thing about a belly band holster is being able to wear it with no pants.
How is it with a trouser belt.
I haven't tried it while wearing a belt, but I think it would be okay, depending on how tight one wears the belt.
Like your shirt 😂
Gee a gun fits into a holster designed for a gun? Who knew 😅. I personally would not use this holster cuz it looks like too loose of a trigger guard.
I bought it for the review, but I won't use it to carry a defensive tool. Thanks for watching.
The problem with the holster is once you go to the website they try to sell you 15 other things. The holster works best as a driving holster. Not really good for walking around a lot.
Social media mass marketing at its worst. Thanks for watching.
I get OVERLADED with STUFF they sell.... FRUSTRATING !!!
Well said. Thanks for watching and for the meaningful comment.
At the VNSH website they claim their product is made in the US. Somebody’s giving out the wrong information.
Today, March 26, 2024, I spoke to a company rep who said only the materials are made in the US but material is shipped to China for assembly and then shipped back. If you are not opposed to foreign made products, then you have no problem.
I've had mine for more than a year with out any type of loss or damage to the whole of the holster.
Good video from a guy that still says trousers.
I guess that's my old-school ancestry sneaking out. Thanks for watching.
@@RidersRange i appreciate the old school, everyone in the new school is failing.
I don't know what the deal is, but this company has been spaming me to death, and I have never done business with them!
when you watch videos like this, they get you retargeted and just keep delivering ads to you the more you click on their stuff. Until you buy. Then you still get their ads. On the plus side, that means they are making money to pay for ads which means people are buying, hence, social proof that it must be at least an ok holster. Question is, what does their returns look like?
@@flightsimguides50% or more get returned cuz unless u use gym shorts regularly, this doesn't make sense.
So you wear it with your waist band over it?
Correct. The VNSH goes under your outer garment - trousers, sweat pants, etc.
@@RidersRange prob most comfortable over a tucked in shirt, but under the pants/waist line -- while wearing a loose fitting shirt over it. If you just want a t-shirt to wear for the day, it should be a baggy one, imo.
Would you recommend any American made belly bands ?
No. I'm not saying that belly-bands aren't an option for deep concealment, but I haven't found any that allow quick, efficient access to a pistol.
Why does anyone run optics on an EDC?
Check the video at the 5:20 mark and you'll see my attempt to fit my P320 in the VNSH holster. It will work, but barely.
Sig p320 is known for accidental discharge. More of a hobby range gun for pros. I would not recommend it for a new user
Why not just put a little magnet where the barrel goes 💥
I guess I'm not clear how that would help.
a canik tp9 elite sc will not fit, just an fyi for those who have one
Thanks for watching and adding the info.
Leaves me out then ty
It does not not conceal well. The handle of your gun will stick out if you appendix carry a 4 inch firearm
Even from the manufacturer, appendix carry is "iffy" for the VNSH
been using this holster and a few other IWB holsters for the past 3 months here in the peoples republic of NJ and this is my favorite to carry my sig 365xl specter ..only real gripe i have is i wish there were 2 retention straps for the mags but that isn't a deal breaker for me
Everything about methods of carry are personal and made up of compromises. Thanks for watching and commenting.

no inter net. I am with you. the whole world is not on line.
This VNSH holster is good for dudes that wear basketball shorts jogging pants etc.
It's an option. Thanks for watching.
All that material wrapped around me I'd sweat like a pig.
That's what I worry about. I sweat at the drop of a hat, and living in AZ doesn't help.
Ah the joys of a belly band holster made from a material intended to make you sweat like a pig.
Vnsh vs 3 speed. Thoughts, comments anyone?
I haven't heard of 3-Speed, so I checked the website. Looks interesting. I like the custom fit, not just for the wearer, but also custom for the gun. Those are advantages over the VNSH.
I was looking for info on this but I don’t have the internet,or a phone, but I got a gun! You can’t be serious?
You don't have the Internet, but you saw my video? Well, thanks for watching and commenting.
Figure anyone buying a holster at that price point can scan a QR code. However, I probably don't want it if I need to watch a video to figure it out.
Those who have access to high-speed Internet take it for granted. But there are literally millions of folks in the United States, and many more in other countries, who don't have that kind of access. But thanks for watching.
It's a NO BRAINER setup
TBH I'M SUPER UNIMPRESSED BY THE VNSH HOLSTER. DEFINITELY SENDING IT BACK FOR A REFUND.
I can't blame you. Thanks for watching.

@@RidersRange I wasn't going to mention MRT, but that's where I always buy my holsters from...Kevin does an amazing job, and in my opinion, the very best fitted Kydex holsters made.
@dannydoughboy120, I have several holsters from MRT and did a review on them a couple years ago. They are my go-to holster company.
After a full day I draw my gun to find it soaked in sweat and my red dot fogged up.
Interesting. I haven't carried long enough in that holster to find out. Thanks for adding your info.
i'll stick with my gun belt.
I'm with you on that.
Truthfully I thought it was awful for everyday use thats why they advertise it so much but when you wear it it sucks.
maybe the box was made I'm China?
Last time I checked, a "Made in China" label on a box means the contents were made in China.
Show how good they fit while you are wearing it 🤷🏼♂️
Hmmm....I thought I did.

@RidersRange that's good to hear. They waited a long time, plus I had tendens cut and moved and bone shaved, plus the rotar cuff fixed. About 9 months later TOS set in. Basically carpal tunnel syndrome symptoms but it comes from the chest. 24 years.

Junk
I've found that things that are heavily marketed on social media are often not up to the hype. Thanks for watching.
I would never buy this junk holster. If you have to give one away, if you buy one, it says it all. Not one respected gun person has a vanish holster.
😆 Absurd
@@frankm2385 Something with retention? Doesn't the VNSH have that retention strap?
@scottgood7888 That retention strap isn't much of a retention strap. In fact, in my opinion, it's more of a "False sense of security strap." There's a retention that keeps your fun from falling out and a retention that resists others from taking your gun. They don't call it Vanish for nothing. Lol
If it does not fit, don't claim it fits....that glock had the trigger assembly exposed.....give good info or mone at all!!!
I could not use this holster with tall suppressor height front sight. Sight would snag!
