I absolutely hate when people bring up the "quipping." As if that is the essence of the character.
You can have Spider-man without the quipping. You can't have Spider-man without his self sacrificial everyman personality.
The reason Tobey’s Spider-Man didn’t quip a lot is because Raimi made the stories personal. When Spider-Man is seriously down and angry he doesn’t quip. He quips when he feels is appropriate. Tobey always had personal connections to his villains and always had drama going on which made him depressed.
Makes way more sense
Tobey's Spider-Man is the core of who Spider-Man is without all the superficial aspects like quips, webshooters, inventions which I feel Andrew is the opposite of and feels hollow without that core.
They both suck at capturing the essence of Peter Parker.
I grew up with Tobey’s Spider-Man
He has the best Peter Parker voice and I also think he’s just the best Peter Parker and Spider-Man. He just has a genuine Spider-Man feel. Holland reminds spider man written around Genz being given so much tech and not appreciating the character (not Holland’s fault). I feel like Holland reminds me of Perfect Spider-Man who dies in the multiverse movie. Maguire reminds me more original, actual spider man. Garfield is good as Spider-Man, but Peter Parker I get that vibe I get more from Maguire. Standard Spider-Man is definitely Maguire Spider-Man. Garfield did a great other Spider-Man with other villains. I don’t dislike any. But Toby doesn’t get the credit he deserves.

I'm sorry but if u were to put Tom Holland or Andrew Garfield in Tobey's same position they could do just as good a job in those movies if not better

Tobey is better. That's just a fact. He is not playing Peter Parker, he IS Peter Parker. Tom and Andrew are good, but they're not Peter. They're playing the roles, but they don't give off the vibe Tobey did. Tobey gave an authentic take on the role.
