Looks about like my dad's '91 Silverado 4x4. His was red with grey interior, and had the 350 engine and automatic transmission, just like this one. That truck went through many a winter and never gave us a trouble. He sold it about 8 years ago and it's still running and on the road. That's a testament to how good GM trucks are!
A few years ago I bought a 1995 Z71, it had 260,000 miles when I bought it, has the 350 in it, and was in decent condition. I paid $1,500 for it, and I like it better than my 2015 Chevy Silverado that I paid $50,000 for brand new. They don’t make them like they used to, and they never will again.
The first truck I ever drove, the first car I ever drove on the highway, and the first time (and last) I’ve ever driven drunk. All in one night. All in a 1991 black Silverado short box. My god I love these trucks
I really liked the 1988 through 1994 GM pickups. Probably the best pickups they ever had inside and out. Interiors were designed and laid out nice. Classics now looking back on them. Today’s trucks are like semi tractors, just too big.
@@manuelbruhking2142 he is mostly referring to the early OBS style of interior though. There were 2 types of interiors made in OBS trucks. 1988-1994, and 1995-1998
The 5.7L is simply put the greatest GM truck motor ever made. Truly long lasting motor. My 1997 Suburban has the original under the hood and is nipping at 300,000 miles.
Fun Fact: Because of the half moon gauges this is an early 91' model. They changed the gauges to the 1992 design midyear. The tach didn't appear untill 1992.
I like these older Chevy's :) Just too bad cars these days aren't as reliable... but wow those gauges are awesome! For the condition this thing is in, i'd buy it in a heartbeat!!!
god hates you haha your right do see alot of Mexicans in them that's bc they want the best brand truck but can't addord a 2018 so get a 1990 lol but I'm telling you j see at least 30 a day and
Amen to that I've had two 91's a 89 A super well taken care of 93 and a 94 and ALL of them had that happen between that and the headliner but I'll still never go new I have the 93 and 91 and I'll hold on to them till I die
I have the same truck and i love it shes over 400,000 miles and still rolling with the original engine, everything is the same in my truck as it is in this one only my seats are different mine has the center console. This truck can do some amazing stuff... things it should never do..... It pulled our 8 ton shrimp boat and my other boat thats over the weight capacity for this truck to the keys and back almost every weekend. 10/10 Amazing truck
I would sure love to find one of these in this shape! I miss the 95 Silverado 350 V8 Z71 I once had , yes gas mileage sucks but if your not driving constantly who cares! That's a beauty for sure , I'd prefer something this clean between 80-94 models, 4x4 would be awesome but air conditioning is the only absolute must ! I'd take this 91 over a new model!
I have one.. 1991 Silverado 1500 Not quite in this shape but close. Wouldnt take much to bring it to this shape i will say. Paint is 2 tone blue and white. Has the same motor 350/5.7 131,500 miles. Only its a lwb but everything else is the same as this truck. Right down to the interior. Same seat color and all. Very nice and very dependable truck. Not sure i would let it go but i might if the price is right...I wish there was a way to put some pic.s up on here for people to see it. Or you could pm me if you would like. Not really trying to sale it but i wouldnt mind showing it off. lol Its in great shape for the yr.
I agree with you on the gauge cluster. I dig it! Many folks didn't like it, so they changed it back to the needle. I thought it looked cool and different.
He knows GM and knows which key is for which lock and which direction it's put into it without stabbing at it mercilessly. You can always tell a car guy right away. Way to go Kyle...
I love this model truck. I love the 88-91 Chevy Designs. If I could find one similar to this as my first truck in decent condition under 5 grand, I'd snatch this up in a heartbeat!
WOW, who ever buys this gem is gonna be one lucky person. Not too many Silverados you find are as beautiful as this one, my 93 is a work in progress, but I know that with time...........and money.............she'll look as good as this one. The exhaust on this one gave me goosebumps, thats the sound I want my Silverado to sound like, and nothing is as distinguishing as a 350 with the dual exhaust tips. Great find, Kyle
Beautiful truck, but in my opinion the wheels, and diamond plate on the tailgate need to go. This is one absolutely LOADED regular cab, the exhaust has the perfect amount of rumble without being annoying/catching the attention of the cops. Dream truck right here.
The 5.7L V8 350 will always be the best mass produced engine GM ever made becides the 454. I have a 99 Chevy Silverado Ext. Cab 5.3L Vortec and it doesn't compare to what a 5.7 can do! I plan on finding myself a 1998 Silverado with the 5.7L Vortec someday.
I have one.. 1991 Silverado 1500 Not quite in this shape but close. Wouldnt take much to bring it to this shape i will say. Paint is 2 tone blue and white. Has the same motor 350/5.7 131,500 miles. Wow that truck is in great shape! Brings back memories of my friend's '88 Sierra, only his was the bare minimum (4 speed manual, no air vents, solid rear window).
Now that Is a truck. Very clean and In pretty much perfect condition. The owner did a very good job keeping this truck mint. The truck must have seen more garage floor then roads. Great sounding exhaust to It too. Thanks for videoing this one for us Kyle!
I have a '90 exactly like it, except the exterior of mine is blue and white. My 350 has a custom chip, long tube headers, true duals with cat delete, flowmasters, extreme throttle body modifications, fuel pressure reg @ 14 lbs, power charger intake and an RV cam. Also has a Corvette servo for very firm tire chirping shifts and Corvette Rallys. To be a throttle body engine, it is a real screamer. It actually feels like it has over 400 foot pounds of neck snapping torque. A gorgeous truck.
I wish someone could take pictures of my 91 c1500, 5.7L, headers, volant air system, TBI with a spacer, alot of billet in the motor bay,new interior with billet panels covers, pedals, sound system ect...
Those Chevy trucks are awesome. One of the guys at work has one and it has over 200K miles and drives like new. He cares well for it and it looks like it hasn't craked 20K. Take good care of these and they will faithfully serve for a very long time.
Catalina Blue Metallic. Had the same extended cab Z71. Bought new in September 1990. Manual transmission, and I can't even tell you how many girls I had in my truck who loved that 2ft long stick shift. Ahh, to be young again.
I just bought recently a c1500 1993 4x4 and everybody around me said that was an insane purchase..lot of comments..but now reading all of you I'm pretty sure I did correctly!
These trucks ride soo nice. I have an 89 silverado with the 5.7 (350) engine. had a 90 also that had the 4.3 v6 and my brother has a 90 gmc sierra right now that were restoring
Got the same truck, got it new. Flowmatsers and its white. Got 196,000 miles..Its the Best truck. This truck will haul ass. when u go over 90 or 95mph the mph gauge it will come back around. The first one has a red tip and the second one when you go over 90mph its gray. Best year with the 5.7 v8 crate motor. Love this truck!
1991 was the last year for the guages with those designs & the last year for the square bodies too which was the previous body design right before those OBSs. 1988 was the first year for those OBSs but they only came in regular cab & extended cab pickup models at the time because the square body crew cab pickup & SUV models were still in production which lasted up through 1991.
I have this in the same condition with 75K km on it, Painted Her a Dark Blue, LED Tail lights and turn signals and in 11th grade I have the nicest truck on the school parking lot
Radio lights work and the doors dont have too be slammed too shut this is a very nice truck but I wud bet my left but says u still gotta give the hood a pounding on for thw latch too let free
Jim Guiliano my 2 cents. Nothing wrong with a truck that has luxury stuff inside (leather power seats and what not) but if you’re not gonna use the bed to haul stuff you’re better off buying the SUV that shares the platform with the truck (like the Suburban)
Jim Guiliano awesome man I have a 1993 truck has 202000 engine less bc I dropped gm performance 350 ho but not to replace blown engine did it for better engine
Have one in the family, same year and style but red and not in as good of shape. Needs a new motor, learned to drive on that truck. Have an absolute love for it and can’t wait to get it running again one day
What manual transmission and differential oil does it have? I have a 1995 Chevrolet Cheyenne pickup, a 305 tbi 5.0-liter 8-cylinder engine, 238 thousand kilometers and I don't have the vehicle manual. They are the same models from 1988 to 1995.
For as good as it looks on the outside I expected the carpet to be in better shape .... This rock as been repainted and has new grille and lights .... beautiful non the less
Love the obs body style in the che y trucks my favorites its the chevy 454ss and the 1996 to 1998 silverado k1500 z71 off road with the 4x4 shifter on the fly and the famous 350 vortec runs so good in these trucks like a rock my brother
my first truck when I was 16 was a 1995 sierra extended cab and it was a great truck. ended up selling it and now im 17 and driving a 1994 s10 with an 8 inch lift
I love how when you start it, there aren't like 15 different things dinging at you, unlike a lot of new cars. This is just so simple and I love it.
And back then there was no air bags cause if we wreck we fucking die like men 😂 no air bags needed
Nope. Just the good ol buzzer of death in most of them.
My cheyenne included.
Looks about like my dad's '91 Silverado 4x4. His was red with grey interior, and had the 350 engine and automatic transmission, just like this one. That truck went through many a winter and never gave us a trouble. He sold it about 8 years ago and it's still running and on the road. That's a testament to how good GM trucks are!
jtb1990419 my dad had a k2500 4x4 5 speed with a 350 and i remember he pushed a fully loaded smaller uhaul truck out of a mud pit in it
The old ones are
Man if it was still there I'd buy it right now. Absolutely immaculate.
I really like the interiors on these. Really simple, but still functional.
same
Jacob Turner yhhhujhhhhh..
These interiors are the best they are so spacious powered windows door and just looks and feels badass so comfortable
A few years ago I bought a 1995 Z71, it had 260,000 miles when I bought it, has the 350 in it, and was in decent condition. I paid $1,500 for it, and I like it better than my 2015 Chevy Silverado that I paid $50,000 for brand new. They don’t make them like they used to, and they never will again.
ok, who would rather have this instead of the new 2016 silverado?
i would looks good simple interior and straight up reliable cant go wrong with a chevy.
713HoustoneTX and yet i have a friend who manages to hate both equally lol
+Justin Noker lol that sucks. ive always been a chevy fan.
713HoustoneTX yeah he lives in Europe, to him trucks are just pointless and ugly and thinks we should all have I4 transit vans instead lol
+Justin Noker lol
Love the sound of that engine crank
The first truck I ever drove, the first car I ever drove on the highway, and the first time (and last) I’ve ever driven drunk. All in one night. All in a 1991 black Silverado short box. My god I love these trucks

i have a 1994 GMC Sierra sle z71 looking forward to restore.
They made these till 1999

Timeless design in my opinion, these trucks still look good today
That's sure.
The sound of the starter motor is awesome.....
Fun Fact: Because of the half moon gauges this is an early 91' model. They changed the gauges to the 1992 design midyear. The tach didn't appear untill 1992.
The tach dash was available in 91 too
Justin Keckhaver Really? I've never seen a 91' with a tach before but I have seen 91's with the redesigned gauges though.
+SUV Man they sure did- it was available in the later 91s, pretty rare to find one though
I had a 1991 silverado with the tack and everything like the 92 and up. guess it was a late 91 model
i have a 91 and it dose have a tach it's a 350 5speed 4x4 ext cab i love it
I like these older Chevy's :) Just too bad cars these days aren't as reliable... but wow those gauges are awesome! For the condition this thing is in, i'd buy it in a heartbeat!!!
You'd be sorry you did
Why would I be sorry? I may not like GM Today but this truck is just in gorgeous condition!
yeah man
Motor sounds good considering stock manifold
god hates you haha your right do see alot of Mexicans in them that's bc they want the best brand truck but can't addord a 2018 so get a 1990 lol but I'm telling you j see at least 30 a day and
it's nice to see clear headlights on this model usually the headlights on this model I see are oxidized all to shit

so whoever kept this truck in this great of shape, kudos to you.
I would love that exact truck in the condition it is in the video right now. I absolutely love that gauge cluster.
I agree with you on the gauge cluster. I dig it! Many folks didn't like it, so they changed it back to the needle. I thought it looked cool and different.
Not lifted, not lowered, simply perfect. ❤️
He knows GM and knows which key is for which lock and which direction it's put into it without stabbing at it mercilessly. You can always tell a car guy right away. Way to go Kyle...
This truck is flawless the bed is even clean and no rust around cab corners it's unreal
I love this model truck. I love the 88-91 Chevy Designs. If I could find one similar to this as my first truck in decent condition under 5 grand, I'd snatch this up in a heartbeat!
That vehicle was blessed with an owner who had a garage, and who understood taking very good care of a vehicle.
early 90s chevy trucks are great...TBI easy to work on and reliable..not the most powerful but reliable.
go to carb all the way

Just bought a 91 gmc sierra truck for my first vehicle. I absolutely love it!
best sounding vehicle ever. I mean, when an engine sound is making me calm before a big test in school this week, damn. Thank you Chevy =)
That exhaust sounds amazing!
I love the interior of these trucks. Especially the gauges.
Lol, This was the time GM had cruddy interiors and gauges too for many of their models.
toyoscio Yeh, so? Who cares about build quality in an old truck. Doesn't change the fact that I like the look of the interior.
Damn it's got the 350 and everything you could ever want
im saying. this truck would be a dream to have.

Not 4wd and not an extended cab so no but mine does have that
I got one of these for my birth day in rough condition thanks for the tour I know what it should look like now.
I’ve been itching to get one of these lately. I love the old school feel of the interior.
I got a 91 mint condition with 108k 350 block. Drives like butter! These trucks are head turner
Now that Is a truck. Very clean and In pretty much perfect condition. The owner did a very good job keeping this truck mint. The truck must have seen more garage floor then roads. Great sounding exhaust to It too. Thanks for videoing this one for us Kyle!
I love the bright green dash lights in these older Chevy’s
Wow! Good eye showcasing this low mileage survivor! Super clean and optioned appropriate for the era as well. Keep up the good work!
I love that gauge cluster. So unique!
I have a '90 exactly like it, except the exterior of mine is blue and white. A perfect example of a tastefully modified truck, not screaming for attention but definatly unique.
I absolutely love the sound of this truck
I'd like to buy a car from the guy that gave you that. That's nearly perfect condition, and yet it's 20 years old! Insane.

I'd love to have that truck. It's so well kept.
She's a beauty id love to have that truck

Looks a lot like my 1993 chevy single cab step side, love that thing to pieces, quirks and all
Wow, what a beautiful truck.
best looking car ever in those days
I have a 1988 gmc sierra 1500 (same truck as this) but it has a 5 speed manual swap. It's so much fun to drive!
finding a truck this year around here with no rust is rare let alone on thats in this great of shape, great find! nice looking older chevy.
Those Chevy trucks are awesome. One of the guys at work has one and it has over 200K miles and drives like new. He cares well for it and it looks like it hasn't craked 20K.
Take good care of these and they will faithfully serve for a very long time.
About to get a 91 Sierra step side, love the speedometers on those
This is the last generation of Chevy trucks that I really liked! This one is in beautiful condition too!
I just got one, the same exact model, but it is stock. This vid gave me some good ideas on upgrades, thanks!

I will be the first to comment on this video and all I would like to say is good job Kyle! I like watch your videos more than watch tv.
love the old trucks bring them back
Catalina Blue Metallic. Had the same extended cab Z71. Bought new in September 1990. Manual transmission, and I can't even tell you how many girls I had in my truck who loved that 2ft long stick shift. Ahh, to be young again.
Great video as always Kyle! Love the older trucks, not crazy about the dashes in the '88-94 trucks but they're nice.
I love the way the lights look on the dashboard
What’s the exhaust set up it sounds good!!
I just bought recently a c1500 1993 4x4 and everybody around me said that was an insane purchase..lot of comments..but now reading all of you I'm pretty sure I did correctly!
I love my new Silverado, but man nothing like the 90s Silverado goes hard
this is my most favorite silverado and sierra generation along with 73 to 87
Man I would love to have this beauty of a truck
These trucks ride soo nice. I have an 89 silverado with the 5.7 (350) engine. had a 90 also that had the 4.3 v6 and my brother has a 90 gmc sierra right now that were restoring
Love the dual exhaust.

Nice vehicle and awesome video as always.
Back when American automobiles were the best in the world
Quite a Beautiful Truck Loved the Color and it was in Increable Shape
I've totally got you beat! 1998 with 46,000 miles, single cab, short bed.
Great video I have a 90 short bed . These trucks are awesome.
I have this in the same condition with 75K km on it, Painted Her a Dark Blue, LED Tail lights and turn signals and in 11th grade I have the nicest truck on the school parking lot
Funny how chevys still have that green color for the dash lights and what not
the little things!
Ikr! They went with the white guages from 1995 to 2006 then back to green and then back to white in 2014
Radio lights work and the doors dont have too be slammed too shut this is a very nice truck but I wud bet my left but says u still gotta give the hood a pounding on for thw latch too let free
beautiful. before trucks became luxury grocery getters. love my 92 300,000 miles still guns great. k1500 5.7 5speed
Jim Guiliano agreed, I have my an 89' with 250,000 miles and still runs strong
Jim Guiliano my 2 cents. Nothing wrong with a truck that has luxury stuff inside (leather power seats and what not) but if you’re not gonna use the bed to haul stuff you’re better off buying the SUV that shares the platform with the truck (like the Suburban)
Jim Guiliano awesome man I have a 1993 truck has 202000 engine less bc I dropped gm performance 350 ho but not to replace blown engine did it for better engine
2009 already has 257k 😂😖👌
I have the 4.3 v6 five speed.
It runs great but I may choose to ls v8 swap it I'm at 278,000 now
Have one in the family, same year and style but red and not in as good of shape.
I have a 1988 Chevrolet Silverado c1500 2wd 5.7 . So my question is the cluster that's on this truck will one like that work on my truck ?
this is my favorite generation, i will have one of these one day soon. clean too.
Love the obs body style in the che y trucks my favorites its the chevy 454ss and the 1996 to 1998 silverado k1500 z71 off road with the 4x4 shifter on the fly and the famous 350 vortec runs so good in these trucks like a rock my brother
Wow that is one of the best trucks i have ever seen and it is in great condition really wish i could by it. Would love to have.
my first truck when I was 16 was a 1995 sierra extended cab and it was a great truck. ended up selling it and now im 17 and driving a 1994 s10 with an 8 inch lift
Man, now that is a nice truck!
