He just making you aware of issues that been reported on these models, that doesnt mean you have issues with the one you driving. But always check for recalls on a vehicle before buying or its reliability history.
My Kia Sorento, diesel, is the best car i have ever owned , but is let down by some Dealers , like some othe brands ! And given a good Dealer, the Warranty is fantastic !
The worst features of Kias are the dealers. Their abuse of their customers is becoming legendary. Why buy a vehicle that introduces to severe dealer abuse.
U right bro most dealers in this country abuse customers and made at us is like we going get car free ,we buy it. But arrogant people , behavior it worthy than animal.
Must be American shit head dealers … Kia dealers in Australia are 100% tops. Visited 4 dealers on recent trip around & across Australia taking 8 months travelling 14000 km
I find that every one who posts this subject with different opinions that counters another. I use my long time mechanical abilities to guide me over what most of these people post. I do look at Consumer Reports but just to get their information on the carrs.
I hate to see the Kia Sorento get poor marks these days. I took delivery of my 2017 Sorento EX v6 in August of 2016 and have thoroughly enjoyed it. City mileage is not great, but I don't put that many miles on it anyway. On the freeways at 75 mph, I get up to 26 mph. I just wish I could stop getting into fender benders, which have been half my fault and half other drivers. Everything works well on the car despite my banging it up. Here in Phoenix, AZ the desert rats keep nibbling on the hose for the windshield washer system--my car sits in a covered car port, but the rodents have done this twice. Otherwise, the car uses no oil, no rattles or squeaks, the A/C just blows colder the hotter it gets, the original tires are still good at 39K and I am just now thinking about new front brakes, though they still work ok. I just hope car manufacturers will get the message when average earners refuse to buy cars with lousy reliability.
I do agree the vehicle is let down by Dealers as now a mulitery war , every problem mentioned is met and recognised by a mulitery figure , so go to your dealer quotes the prices they know the fault , its a good job they do loans to as the car repair is as expensive as a Car.
Ok you had right up to the jeep compass you said it didn’t have collision control and no adaptive cruise control… wrong on both items .. calls your entire report into question
If it's first year the only thing you should be paying for are oil changes. Everything else should be under warranty Police nationwide are using Explorers and the get a lot harder use than most any family would put it through. I drive a 2022 Hyundai Palisade and except for 2 factory recalls it has been flawless. The Lincoln Aviator is just a pricey Ford Explorer
Good detail but the worst suv of the year is jeep meredian for it's noisy engine, useless 3rd row seat's, hopless features, nonsense fit finish and the never ending list which will go onnn
Have I been lucky? I've owned a 2021 VW Tiguan 2.0 diesel (7 seater) from near new and not had an issue so far. I do the usual checks in between services - check oil level, tyres etc.. and have only covered 22k miles - front tyres will need replacing in the next 6 months. I've owned VW's for the last 30yrs (mainly Golf's, Passat estate) and mainly diesels and provided they are maintained, I've never had an issue.... as already stated above.....have I been lucky?.....I don't think so.
I (Hyundai owner) lost trust in Kia & Hyundai after the "Kia Boys" issues!!! I get stressed every time I need to park & leave my car at any new unknown location :(
Check with your dealer or local police for a steering wheel lock they are giving for free. If your car is 2022 or newer Kia boys can't steal it like the previous years
@sadbuttrueinthe21stcentury36 there is a locking bar that fits around and under the brake pedal preventing it from being depressed. It is hardened steel that is very hard to saw through
One would imagine that logically thinking manufacturers should be building automobiles like they were before . Great engines low fuel consumption & long term guarantees up to 300,000 miles then people who be more selective . The normal driver dosent want to change his car before the guarantee is up. Longer guarantees better customer confidence Other wise is follow the worst case senario and bring your level to the gutter

I wish the motorcar industry will stop the trend of appeasing the "modern motorist"who seems to be more concerned about infotainment screens and unnecessary electronic gadgets. Cars cannot be an extension of the individual. It is a perverted sense of self.It is a mode of transport that must take you safely to your destination. All the distractions in a vehicle are so unnecessary,it just boggles my mind. Then some individuals take pride in destroying a solid reputation built over decades by ICE manufacturers.just because of unnecessary electronics, the whole car is now "unreliable". Perverted sense of self-importance.

I'm from the UK and the Kia Sorento from.2015 to the new 2022 model have been praised and good reliability. I own a 2016 2.2 diesel and love it !!

I subscribe to Consumer Reports. The 2023 Sorento has a reliability score of 4/5, not 1/5.

maybe it's time to go back to more basic vehicles without so many bells and whistles just for 'selling points' to add $$ to the selling .

And the Sorento's sister car is hyundai Santa fe....
CR is just wrong about the Pathfinder. Any repairs would likely be under warranty.

They shouldn't have never been able to steal those vehicles so easily. How cheap can you be?
Thieves are sawing through steering wheels to get these locks off. Doesn’t stop them.

I would much prefer that anything I drive does not have Infotainment.
The most important thing to avoid are videos with shitty AI voiceovers.
There were no mentions of any Chinese brands. They must be the world most reliable autos makers and this bloke must've been well paid by the Chinese.
Chinese brands would not even last for two years.

I can.
Everyone can
Got rid of 2021 SX model in less than a year. I needed to take it in to the dealer too many times in one year.
I’ve had my 2016 Sorento for over 150,000 miles driven in South Korea, Europe and the United States. All with no problems at all. I love it!

Extremely biased, please don't post stuff like this, it is not helping. Personal opinion.
AI computer speak is not a good indi-ka-tor of re-lee-ability of this channel.
This must be an AI generated review as the “announcer” had a hard time pronouncing too many words!
Ai narration is abismal
Can't understand a lot of the words he uses.
