I am glad you mention the Wagoneer! I think it is insane to have a single car payment that could pay the mortgage on 2 houses. Not to mention the reliability issues for which Jeep is known. I saw an ad that you could lease a Wagoneer for just $899/month. I was floored. I love this channel! Thanks for all you do!!!

At this point, Mazda is making the only sane vehicles out there. Safe, attractive, feature-driven, and fast--at a fair price point and no useless EV garbage. Toyota's dealers are gouging prices, and everyone else is trying to figure out how to sell EVs to a US market that is, for the most part, rejecting them.

No surprises on this list - if anyone watches well known RUclips car mechanics such as Car Wizard or Scotty Kilmer, this is exactly what they say over and over in trying to caution people about wasting their money. If there is one saving grace these days it's that none of these bad choices are "cheap" anymore. I’ve never experienced anything like that before with any of my previous cars. I traded the compass in for a Mazda cx-90 recently and I’m never looking back.

I have a 2006 Matrix, manual transmission. Last fall I actually had to put a new clutch in, which I've been putting off for a couple years, well, at least a year. All in all I have spent abiut 15,000 for all repairs and maintenance. I will say I do keep up on everything whether it's tune ups or tires or any noise I hear. It probably is time to get a new car but I can't bring myself to spend that kind of money and nobody makes standard transmissions anymore. I hate automatics.

Sometimes I wonder if the ratings rise and fall, according to the payoffs. Seems to me that the Ford EScape got such low ratings. We are on our second Escape, and for the money spent, we got our money's worth. They are superior to both Toyota and Honda, in both visibility, and ride comfort. The new RAV's have a rough ride and por visibility. From what I have read, Escapes are the best sellers. Another thing is that in some years, some SUV's are the one and same thing as their competitor, and only the decals are different.

You can still get the Fiat 500X? We test drove one, along with a Jeep Renegade, about a year after they came out. Our route took us down a side street with a speed bump. The Renegade bounced over it no problem (but it did have something loose behind a panel). When we drove the Fiat, we took the speed bump a lot slower - maybe 20 km/h - and the rear suspension completely bottomed out producing a nasty jar through the cabin. Immediate loss of interest.
