- Add your own custom screensavers to your Kobo e-reader in just 2 minutes! A very easy 5 step process you can follow along. Add some personalization to your e-reader and add privacy to what you're reading on the Kobo cover when it sleeps.
Some additional notes:
1) This step is optional, but it is recommended to backup the files on your Kobo device before starting. Simply copy and paste all the folders & files from your Kobo drive (the drive shown in 0:47) onto a new folder on your computer.
2) This tutorial works with all Kobo devices running firmware version 4.13 or higher (including the newest Kobo Libra Colour, Kobo Clara Colour, Kobo Clara BW, and the older Kobo Libra 2, Kobo Libra H2O, Kobo Elipsa 2E, Kobo Sage, Kobo Clara HD, Kobo Nia, Kobo Forma, etc.). Try updating your Kobo e-reader firmware if you are not on this version.
3) If you cannot find the ".kobo" folder as shown in 1:01, you may need to activate "Hidden items" on your File Explorer. If you are using Windows, click "View" at the top of your File Explorer, then check "Hidden items".

What I do for my screen savers I make my JPGS to PDF and trafer them over thru Adobe digital additions its more work . I can delete the images on my Kobo .
I don’t have a computer just an iPad can it be don’t on that?
Hey there, great question! Yes, if you are able to connect your Kobo to your iPad using a usb cable, then go to the “Files” app on your iPad to access the folders on the Kobo the same way I did with the PC, then you should be able to copy over your images as screensavers. Hope this helps!
