    I received a Kobo Libre Colour for Christmas, and I absolutely love it! I have a Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition, and wasn't sure how it would compare, but I like it so much better than the Kindle. I love that Libby/Overdrive is integrated into the device. And the physical page turn buttons are FABULOUS. It makes it so much easier to hold with one hand, and I can switch between my right and left hand by rotating the device. That is SO convenient if you are holding a drink, or are under the blankets in bed. I love being able to highlight in different colors, write on the pages, etc. If I had to choose one device, the Kobo would definitely win. In fact, I may give my Kindle to a family member.

    In Australia it's a no-brainer because Kindle doesn't allow Bluetooth (audio device) outside of US or UK. On top of that, Kobo has colour, is half the price & half the size of the Kindle Scribe, is waterproof - and best of all, lets you connect to local libraries! So glad to have discovered this device.

    I’ve been Kindling since the very first ones large with a physical keyboard. Kindle got me through my online masters in 2005 when I took all my pdfs and journals because I was carrying my work from place to place and teaching. I’m 65 now and my eyes are giving me hell to pay but I love all things tech and less bulk. My husband got hooked too. lol.
    Just received my Kobo Libra Color yesterday and your site was very helpful. I just had trouble figuring out One Drive but I finally got it to work and downloaded my first library book last night. I’m loving it. Trying to be patient enough to navigate it like a breeze. Thanks.

    I spent months looking at color ebook readers and I chose this one. It is really nice. I picked up a Meta Pen which was only half the price of the official stylus and it works perfectly.

    One downside to the Libra Colour not mentioned often is that all handwritten stylus notes taken are lost if you ever switch devices or reset this device. For me, the notes I take are important to me and I don't want to lose them. And who wants to export their notes as lots and lots of PDFs disassociated from the books? Not me. So, for me, no-go.

    • @yourmillennialmommy2700

      @Greg_M1 Месяц назад +3

      @@rider9187 Yes, you can export your notes as PDFs. Once again, your notes do not stay with your ebooks when you change to a new device or reset the current one. When I take book notes, I rely on the 'context' of the page in the book to give the notes relevance. Exported pdfs of the notes is not the same at all, IMO.

    Just got my Kobo Libra Color 3 days ago. Learning as I go. Thanks to your video I just activated my Overdrive account and was able to download a book from my local library. 😁 I had been reading books on my iPad but don’t like to take it out of the house. The Kobo is smaller, more easily portable and comfortable to use for longer periods of time. Next thing I want to learn is how to put my Kindle books onto the Kobo. Cheers! ☕️ 🐈 📖

      That's awesome. Congratulations. Overdrive is a MUST if your local library supports it. Glad you got that setup. As for converting Kindle books to Kobo 😳 that's gonna be tough. As you can imagine, Amazon does not want you doing that. That's the walled garden approach of Amazon. 😢

    Great product, but the stylus is very expensive. Since the last update: if you use a cheaper different brand (which works just as well) they give you a annoying pop-up everytime you open notebook.

    • @TechItBeforeYouWreckIt

      For a company that provides such Open Access, PDF and ePub documents, etc. It's kind of ridiculous that you have to deal with that just because you don't want to use their stylus.

    The biggest problem i have with the libra color is that
    The text is not sharp and the black are greyish compared to my 10 years old kindle paperwhite.
    They could fix it by giving contrast option for the user when reading pdf but not.
    I’m forced to use a hack to get the contrast option so my eyes are less tired.
    Seriously why they do that, the core functionnality is a reader.
