it's much easier to hide female beauty than it is male wealth. I once dated a mildly attractive, down-to-earth woman who never wore makeup or anything revealing. I make $250/hr and work 16 hour days, and I came to the same conclusion, I'm losing money trying to date. Also, I realized trying to date in a western country is pointless because of the obesity rates and entitlement of the women.
