    Question isn’t for this car but I know you work on BMW’s. Was wondering if you can help me figure something out because the shop wants me to rebuild my transmission but not sure if that’s the case because it drives normal unless I start accelerating fast like at a freeway entrance or switching lanes and I need to speed up because a car is coming. My transmission light comes on when I do that on my 2008 bmw 335i and it feels super sluggish on regular drive so I always have to drive it on sports so it could feel normal but even on sport my transmission light would come on if I gas it. Only way to avoid that is to slowly press the pedal and let it speed it up. What can it be any ideas? Because rebuilding my transmission seems a lot at the moment specially cause my car only has 45k miles.

    Lightning vs. Lightning. But even then, thunderblight would be a tough fight.

      Most likely this is the battery either went bad and no longer takes charge or the alternator has gone bad.

    Got a 2014 Santa fe towed in here. Everything seems to check out electrically right down to the starter and battery. Customer complaint was just driving along and car died. Went to restart and all it does is continuously click, clikck... will not turn over. Battery has been tested and even computerized testing machine says it is good. Yet if you try to jump start it, it will turn over about one revolution and then return to clicking. Starter does not sound like it is straining when it does this. Only other odd thing is negative battery cable tend to get warm when you hold the key in crank position. Cable has zero ohm draw and has been cleaned up at battery and frame mount even though it wasn't dirty. Any other ideas. About to remove starter again to retest.

      Have you figured out on that Santa Fe?

      @@pool404 actually i forgot I put this out there but yea. Installed a brand new battery and engine turned over very slowly. I could here the starter straining and my immediate thoughts went to "man that engine sounds tight!"
      Checked the oil and not a drop in it. I called up the kid who owned the car and asked him if he had ever checked his oil or if the oul light had come on. He said the oil light had been on for a while but he knew he was due for an oil change 🙄🤔. I had to explain to him that the oil light doesn't mean you're due for an oil change it means you are low on oil and in your case you don't have any. Believe it or not though he really lucked out. There happened to be a recall on the engine in that car and he had low enough miles and it was still new enough at the manufacturer put a brand new engine in the car for him. He had put less than 2,500 miles on the car since it left the dealer lot and they claimed to have put fresh oil in it. I have no idea where that oil went because there was no signs of any leaks. Is original battery tested a little weak but should have been able to crank the car. I pulled a new fresh battery off the shelf and she turned over but roght away i knew we had a much bigger problem. Guess I should have checked the oil first but he didn't give me any indication of engine noise or rattling. He said it just died and wouldn't turn over. Yea, the engine was nearly seized up.

    Where is the video about fuses and relays ? I have 2015 Santa Fe, no problems, ran fine yesterday, this morning key turns, dash lights on, nothing when I turn key ?

      Got a similar problem on an older santa fe where turning the ignition results in absolutely nothing. Was yours a starter problem?

    • @Splashfun2000
      @Splashfun2000 Год назад

      @@Jim-mq2me I've left it outside a couple of times but haven't had any problem since then. Seems to have kind of resolved itself. I do think though when the new engine got put in there was a bad connection on a ground or the starter that has gone away for the time being. I would check to see if you have voltage at the starter connection (not battery connection) but other when key is on, that's if its accessible, my starter you have to take intake manifold off. There is a starter relay in fuse block that does go bad sometimes.
