    Sudbury Hyundai replaced my gear shift inhibitor one year ago on my 2014 Santa Fe because I was getting intermittent starting. Now its happening again with no starting. That part should last longer. I feel our dealership just changes expensive parts instead of troubleshooting. I'm glad you are different. I'm going to check my TCU1 fuse.

      Is it a no crank no start or it cranks but no start? Did you try to put it in neutral try starting it?

    Hola tengo un hyundai veloster 2013, se daño el fusible del alternador , cuando se daño el auto quedo bloqueado no daba manivela ni la caja pero el auto prendia normal solo no daba marcha ,se le cambio el fusible quemado y de una vez el alternador funciono correctamente y la manivela tambien pero tengo el problema que la caja o trasnmicion no quiere funcionar esta bloqueada y en el tablero parpadea si lo pongo en P o en R o en D prende y apaga, lo lleve a que lo sacanearan y ahora mendicen que es la transmisión la que se daño ,que puedo hacer ahy? Porqir no creo que sea la transmisión el daño

      What do you mean when you put in P it turns on and off? You mean the engine will start then turns off? How about you put in neutral does the engine start and turn off too?

    I bought a 2011 LE, Hyundai Sonata, 4 cylinder, automatic, push button ignition. It only has 37,000 miles on it and the previous owner bought it new. She sold it to me because her two mechanics could not get it to function for her. It would sit for a few days and would not start. They replaced the battery and alternator. That didn't fix it. Right now it will not start or do anything at all, so it actually got worse. The battery is new and checked good (confirmed with part store check and deep charge). The main fuses I can see all look good. Nothing comes on. No exterior or indoor lights. No dash lights or gauges...nothing. Except, the push ignition button will lightly illuminate when I push it. Both key fobs will show a small red light when anything is pushed on them, but nothing happens. The trunk won't open, the alarm won't turn on, no door locks, nothing at all works. It does the same thing when attempting to jump start with 3 different vehicles. It did start occasionally for her with jumper cables and battery charge, but now it is entirely dead and nothing gives it power to crank or start, or any accessories or gauges. It's behaving like it has NO battery at all.
    I have not connected a code reader to it, yet.
    Questions:
    1. Anyone have this occur? What fixed it?
    2. Is there a way to test the key fobs to be sure at least one is working?
    3. I know how to get the car in Neutral to push it around, but is there a way to get the steering wheel to turn? I hate push button crank cars!

      The way i can see you have issue on power distribution for the vehicle, since you said that it started at 1 time, so good wiring diagram and understanding can resolve that issue. I havent encounter that type of issue yet but heard that theres some issue on the PDM, power distribution module. I would suggest to check that circuit, and for steering wheel, is it locked or is just hard to turn? Coz i know smart key or push start vehicle you can turn the steering wheel but it will be just hard since it has electrical power steering.

      @hyundaitech oh I didn't realize that about the steering. This is my first button start car. Bought it cheap as an extra ride in Summer (we're in CO, Winters need AWD).

    Hola tengo un Hyundai Equus se apago andando y no da arranque del botón pero puenteando el rele de arranque si gira el motor y el scanner no se conecta a la ecu del carro que puede ser gracias

      If scantool wont communicate, you have issue with the data link connector or dlc. You need wiring diagram and check the communication lines and measure if you have 60 ohms.

      Hey man so i just watched again this video coz i forgot already. I know i did not explain why it happened like that, in my opinion i think due to oxidation could be poor contact on those pins and then corrosion happens. I hope that helps. Thanks
