Cassiy!!! I pray God blesses you abundantly in every area because the way you’ve put detail and patience in explaining these steps😭 thank you thank you thank you!
I just wanted to tell you how much I have been getting out of your videos. I only discovered these in the last couple of weeks when I saw you in an interview. Everytime you give me something new even if it's just a technique I hadn't known about. Keep these coming as I love that you are giving us newbies some direction.
Cassiy just thanks. Ive been watching your videos lately and it’s been such a breeze to follow along. I have listed 4 items and I’m trying to work up to 50 listings a week on my spare time. You are awesome
Hey Cassiy!!!! You're helping me so much!!! I would love your help in understanding my need for Everbee AND Sale Samurai at the same time. I'm so confused as to why BOTH are used at the same time when starting out. I know they are slightly different but can you please clarify for those of us just starting out, if there's one over the other you would recommend at first? Then when would you say is a good indicator that the other should be used? I just know myself and trying to understand and start BOTH at the same time would be a bit overwhelming for me. I am more of the mindset, start with one, learn it well, then add another as needed. I keep thinking (as a newbie) that ya'll are nuts LOL for doing both at the same time and wonder if it's overkill for a newbie? Thanks so much!
Great question! As for Everbee vs Sale Samurai, they are very different tools that I use for different things. I really like using Everbee to sort the results for a keyword on Etsy to see which ones are already selling well, how many sales approx they've had and easily see what keywords they are using in their titles and tags. I also really like using them to stalk my competition by sorting their shop and seeing what best sellers shops have. So I use Everbee more for finding new shops to stalk and finding new niches to design for. Sale Samurai you already have to have a keyword in mind to start searching for to really use it, and you can go down the rabbit hole and then find some low competition high search volume niches as well but I use it more for finding good keywords for the listings I already made. Hope that makes sense! You definitely don't NEED either of them, I built my whole business without using any paid tools. I am just starting to check them all out now that I am 2+ years in and realize how they can make my job so much easier and more efficient. But I also am making a bunch of sales and don't mind spending the money on both since I am just going to write it off at the end of the year anyways! I hope that all makes sense hha thanks so much for watching!!
Hi Cassiy, Love your video! Thanks so much for making them. I know you made this one a year ago, but the "Bestseller" filter is no longer an option, how else can we do this now? Can't find it in incognito mode either. Thank you!
Hi, so glad you loved this video! My hack for using the bestseller filter is in your search, select the star seller filter, then go to the web address at the top and replace “star” with “best” :) I hope that makes sense!!
I love this and you so much! You and Jenny as well as the life hacker couple have inspired me. I started my store a little less than two months ago and I have 12 sales. Which doesn’t sound like much but I’ll tell you it means the world to me! I’m so excited to continue this journey ❤️
Awww Mary congrats on getting started!! Those 12 sales are just the beginning ❤️ Jenny is one of my closest friends and we talk everyday, I’ll tell her you posted this and she will be so happy for you! Keep up the good work!!
@@kg811 She does! She was interviewed on the Life Hacker Couple YT channel around the same time I was and she teaches Etsy on TikTok, her handle is Jennyfromtheshopp
Thanks @CassiyJohnson I’m up to my first 20 and I couldn’t be more thrilled! I’ve put in a ton of work and have about 120 listings and still going to get ready for the holidays. I’m so excited ☺️ thanks for all you do!
So glad you are liking my channel! I'd challenge you though Gloria to just not overthink it and open an etsy shop and a printify account today! There is no better time to start than RIGHT NOW since the holidays are coming so soon! You still have plenty of time to get some good stuff listed for Christmas and start your business off to a great start
Thank you so much Cassiy, you are the first person I see in this kind of tutorials who can actually create great designs. I cannot join Etsy because of my country but everything you teach still very helpful. I am starting with another POD site and I will be sharing my results soon. :)
Hi Cassiy really into your videos, I download days ago the peace and love font but i just realized that I only have the solid version? how i can get the outline version?
Hi Cassiy... With regards to faulty t-shirts...If the customer receives a faulty t-shirt, can you notify printify and they will sort the issue? How does that work please? Tks
Yes they will take care of it if there are ever any issues! You just open Printify, find the faulty order, submit and issue, ask for a reprint or refund, send them the picture the customer gave you, and they will make a new one and send it to the customer for you!
Hi Cassiy... I'm from the UK.. In your opinion, is it best to use a UK print company on Printify rather than say a US comp like Monster Digital or Swift Pod etc? Thanks
Depends on where you want to be selling your items. I'd recommend selling only in the US even if you are in the UK. Then you would use a US printify company. This just makes it easier because then you don't have to worry about taking returns in eurpope, checking trademarks in both countries and the US is the largest market for shopping anyways. Up to you though!
@@CassiyJohnson if I am from Europe how to deal with returns, I think some returns will be, even I sell only in US, is hard to presume all is perfect in this business.
Hi Cassiy! Thank you again for another wonderful video! I have a few questions.. 1) What do you do with your shop when you are on a vacation and do not have access to the Internet (for example, a cruise)? Do you put your shop on vacation mode? 2) Do you respond to customer reviews (good or bad) and what do you say? 3) How do you go about choosing the color palettes for your designs? 4) Do you think it's best for the design to take up the entire space allotted or just a small part of the shirt?
1. I have yet to go on a vacation without wifi, I paid for it on my cruise and just checked my messages for a few minutes in the morning and at night. But you could always ask a close friend or family member to watch it for you or hire a Virtual Assistant. You don't want to go on vacay mode and then not respond to people who have already ordered. You can put an automatic reply on that you are on vacay and only checking messages once per day at a certain time so they know what to expect. 2. I respond to bad reviews to see if there is anything I can do to make it right. 3. I google color palettes a lot of find a best seller and use their color palette. 4. It depends on the shirt, I do both depending on if it's a graphic design or just text. There is no exact right answer, sometimes simple is really best just text across the chest and other times big bold graphics are best. Just try both and see what works best for you!

Your page is so informative! I went to look at your Mock Ups and it really gave me some ideas of understanding that some designs I create would look really great on your mock ups! Thanks so much! I'm working on building a shopify store soon and definitely love your mockups!
@@CassiyJohnson aww thank you! I've already favorite your shop! But I'm definitely wanting to purchase your Mock Ups! They are beautiful! So creative and cute!
Another excellent video! I'm slowly learning piece by piece, from several of your videos I've seen so far, how to use Creative Fabrica, while patiently waiting for you to do a full tutorial on how to use it. Thanks for all the great easy to follow information!
How do you do a trademark search for all countries? I'm in Australia, if I do a trademark search using ours how am I covered for America? Hope that made sense.
So I only sell in the US so I only check here, this is what makes it complicated to check everywhere so I do not do that. So if you sell in America and Australia, then you would need to check both countries websites.
Could you PLEASE do a tutorial for how to design for mugs using Canva and Printify? There are very few out there. I have been trying, but my designs end up too small on the mug. This would be so helpful. I want to branch out in my products, but mugs are hard especially the 15 oz and the enamel mugs.
Here's my review of the mugs if you haven't seen it ruclips.net/video/VPO7Tqu59aw/видео.html And there should be no difference in the way you design mugs compared to t-shirts. I repurpose my t-shirt designs onto mugs, I am never making them specifically for mugs in the first place!
Hi. I created a bunch of cute designs. I bought great mock ups. Yes a couple came from your store. I watched your video on how to put on a mock up but the design is really white on the mock up. I adjusted the transparency but it didn’t work. Any suggestions? Please help.
I’m wondering about using the POD images from Creative Fabrica…a lot of people say you can use them as is in your Etsy shop, but does that actually go against Etsy’s rules for your items having to be designed by you? Or is it permissible to add them to POD products and sell them as is on Etsy?
So the fully premade as is designs on CF you are right, technically are not made by you so I see what you are saying! I think Etsy says you just have to have a "unique" item, so maybe the item you are offering it on is what makes it unique. You aren't selling the design you didn't make as is, you put that design onto a t-shirt, sweatshirt mug. So maybe that helps it count that way? I don't think Etsy polices this at all but its an interesting thing to consider.
Hey Cassiy! Thank you for another informative video! I was wondering if you would consider making one addressing what to do to prepare for Q4 as far as how to handle out of stock items, delays, what to tell the customer, best practices on refunds etc. I have an order that a customer placed on July 31st that I can’t get any info on right now so I can just image what it’s like around the holidays! Thanks so much and hope you are doing well! :)
Hi Cassiy! I’ve been watching your videos but I’m a little confused about one thing. Can I just buy images on Etsy that are ok for commercial use or do I have to make my own for POD?
You can buy premade designs and post them for sale but they need to have full commercial rights. Make sure to read the descriptions of any designs you buy and also vet the store to see if it really seems like they are making all of the designs. Some people steal peoples designs and just resell them, and this can get you in trouble! They also are not responsible for checking trademarks or copyrights, that's still your job. So I tend not to buy them because of all of these reasons and I just make my own.
Im getting a little discouraged. I've had my shop in full running mode for the past two months and no sales. Ive added 12 listings so far, and not sure if what im designing is working. I chose to design random design t-shirts, and hoodies for now. I don't know if adding more listings will make a difference in potential sales?
Thank you Cassiy for showing us how you would research and put your own designs together. Does it matter if we go days without publishing any listings? Or should we strive to get some listings up each day? I’m not sure if I should try to be more efficient with task batching each step (I.e., make a bunch of designs one day, SEO research another day for all those designs, create the mock-ups the following day, and so on). My only concern is this method may mean I’m going days without out publishing any listings, compared to working on one design at a time from start to finish/publish each day. I’m curious to know your thoughts :)
Great question Nicole! I find when I do too many designs, I feel overwhelmed. So I like to make 10 designs and then list them all. I think as long as you are consistently listing, it doesn't matter if you are literally listing every single day. Just find a rhythm that works well for you and that you have time and mental energy for!
Just make consistency in your listing , for example if you listing 10 designs after every 4 days then you should carry this constantly. It will know the algorithm that you are serious and genuine seller which will help you in boosting your shop
Thanks for asking this question. I had the same one since the other day I was in canva creating a design and then I’d get hits of inspiration and before I knew it I had over 100 canvases open. So I thought that I’d just batch the process like you mentioned. But then I had to keep avoiding the overwhelm feeling like Cassiy mentioned and recommit to finishing. So I just took out like about 5 to start and creating the mock-ups and seo and listing them one by one in the matter of two days. So I think I will do small batches and it’ll help me be more consistent.
When downloading designs from Canva, they are only 96 DPI. I can get it to a max of 288 DPI using the slider tool to enlarge the canvas size. How is everyone maintaining DPI for printing POD when designing PNG’s in Canva?
So when creating my canvas, I start with 4500 x 5400 pixels, and ensure to use up a large amount of that space with my design and I am always getting really high DPI. Hope that helps!
@@CassiyJohnson thank you so much! I’ve been wanting to start and have a few designs but realized how expensive it would be to order each shirt for “quality control” and kind of gave up a little.
If you have subscriptions to both canva and creative fabrica, does canva automatically pull images and fonts from creative fabrica when you are designing in canva?
@@CassiyJohnson Thank you! I was up until 3am watching so many of your videos last night. They are all so informative. I used all your links and signed up for your program recommendations. Thank your for putting your knowledge out for people to learn.
I purchased many designs as well as the full Pod license for each of them , I want to use them as is which is the reason I got the full pod license but I am very nervous to find out I could get copyrighted regardless of the full pod license on etsy . I’m not sure how to proceed now😕
You just need to make sure you understand what is copyrighted and what is not, for example you don't want to download anything from Disney off of CF. It's always your job to make sure designs you make/buy are safe to use and you need to always check for trademarks as well. Don't be discouraged, most things on there are safe to use!
Hey Cassiy! I love your videos. I see there’s a lot of things you’d need to subscribe to to have some successful designs. Are these things you can write off on taxes? Are there any free options for when you’re getting started? I’m doing what I can to make my own shop so I can have some supplemental income when I’m on maternity leave.
The only things you need to get started in Canva design software and you can even get a free month of that when you sign up with my link, everything else can wait until you start getting money coming in. But you do need to float the costs of the orders until Etsy pays you though so I would recommend having some money before you start. Etsy for the first 90 days pays you once per week but only pays you the full amount of the order after the item ships. So I would recommend putting them on a credit card if you feel comfortable with that so you can just pay the credit card after etsy pays you the full amount of the item. Then after 90 days you can change this to pay you daily and they pay you the full sale amount (minus etsy fees) right away now that they know you are a legit business. ▷ CANVA DESIGN SOFTWARE 30 day free trial: partner.canva.com/7m7EnV
Excellent video Cassiy. I am liking, commenting and saving any video I watch to give you the RUclips to support the channel. Using EverBee, I analyzied all products of a newer store (opened in 2021) store that has about 1300 listings. They were doing about $20,000 in monthly revenue. I am trying to set goals for myself and understand how many listings I need in order to get to where I want. Are these numbers very typical or this store is doing exceptionally great?
Hi, I don't know what I'm doing wrong. If I download a creative fabrica design to canva the white portion, letters etc disappears. I would have to use a darker back ground to design not the white like you are using. Thanks
You just need to click the background of your Canva design and then change the color of the background to black, that way you can see the white elements of your design while you are designing!
Thank you Cassiy, I love your videos, very informative. I keep reading that Canva is for beginners. You are very successful using this platform and are an experienced designer. What are your thoughts? Do you use any other platforms?
I would still consider myself pretty new to designing, I love Canva because I am not an experience designer and never need to be super great at it to make good looking designs. I use another app sometimes to do small things that Canva cannot but I use Canva 99% of the time!
Hi Cassiy! I am loving all of your videos and am learning so much! I have a question about selling designs made for POD on Etsy. I am thinking of starting a POD Etsy shop but after reading their rules, I am a little confused. Etsy's house rules regarding design say "Simple customization, such as selecting colors, shapes, or choosing from ready-made options is not considered design on Etsy." So does this mean we can not use any design elements found in Canva even if they are put together with other elements since they are ready-made? I just want to make sure I am following the rules and do not get shut down when opening my shop.
Hey Cassiy, your YT videos are absolutely wonderful and have taught me so much ! Thank you for that and keep doing what your doing! My question is I was told and was under the impression that even though I have a Canva pro account , I wasn’t about to use pro elements on items I would be selling and making profit on. Can you clarify when you are and are not able to use the pro elements ? Thanks!!
You are allowed to use Canva Pro elements in commercial designs but not by themselves, they need to be apart of a larger design ie. words and other graphics added. here is a link to their license, www.canva.com/help/licenses-copyright-legal-commercial-use/ Always a good idea to read it yourself anywhere you are getting graphics from and make sure you understand the license that comes with it!
Yes that's fine, but you could just always use 4500 x 5400 and design within that space horizontal. Once you upload your design to Printify, you can stretch it to take up the amount of space on the shirt that you want.
@@CassiyJohnson thank you for answering! i found the LHC last weekend, which led me to you and i’ve devoured all your videos this week. please keep going- you’re an answer to a prayer.
Your videos are really informative! I do have a question, I noticed on your how to add 50 listings in one day that you have a separate listing for sweatshirts, t shirts and hoodies. What do you think about combining all 3 into one listing? Do you think it’s more beneficial to have 3 separate listings with the same graphics or one listing were you can purchase the graphic on either a hoodie, T-shirt or sweatshirt?
Im excited to watch this video! I was wondering if you sell hoodies on your etsy store. If so I was wondering if you could suggest which hoodies to use. Ive seen a lot of trendy hoodie designs and i would like to sell my own Version of them. I dont know which hoodie type i should select and how the sizes and fit are on these. Maybe you could do a video/review if you have time? Thank you so much for the help and amazing videos!
I'm also very interested in a video about hoodie designs. I have about 10 designs already and use Printify and Swift POD as the printer. Getting samples of them this week!
I'll definitely do a hoodie review! I use the Gildan 18500 and they are a normal unisex hoodie, really similar sizing to the sweatshirts the Gildan 18000.
When you make a retro design do you do something to the colors, like the checkerboard to make them look retro (or used) or does the black come out that way because it is DTG already? Thank you so much for your videos!
I don't add any additional distressing to my designs because I think they look nice as is but if you think it would really add to your design, I know there are some good tutorials on RUclips for a website called Photopea where you can add distressing easily!
Hi Cassiy! Thank you so much for this video. 🙏🙏 I think I can watch 10 more videos like this as it’s always so helpful when starting POD/Etsy. Which kids shirts do you like to use for your group family listings? Also an idea for another video maybe: how to promote our shop on social media (the basic how-tos for Pinterest, Tik Tok and Instagram). You mentioned these in a previous videos and I’d love to hear more on this subject.😊 Thanks so much in advance!!! You’re the best!!!!! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
So glad you are enjoying my videos Virginie!! I typically just use whatever shirt is in stock in the sizes I need from Swift POD, I have found they are a good option for group orders since they have one of the biggest selections.
No the graphics on Canva you can use unlimited, but you can’t use them alone. You have to incorporate them into a larger design like you see in this video. Feel free to go read their license to make sure you feel confident in using them as well!
I never understood that business model. If they limit me to 400 sales, I'll just not be a customer and use an unlimited company. Secondly, how do they know how many sales thousands of sellers have? It's a very weird to me.
Cassiy! I really need your help. 😢 A customer ordered three items today. Two were items that had SKUs from Printify and were automatically synced. And the other item was a personalized item that was created in Etsy. The two Printify items showed up, but not the personalized item. It didn’t even show up under “other orders.” I made sure it had a foreign SKU. Idk what I did wrong. I had to end up submitting a manual order. Any help would be appreciated!
So Unfortunantley this is what happens when you get an order for a non custom item and a custom item at the same time. In the future you need to double check whenever you get a custom order and make sure it gets added to the other shirts before those get sent to production. Sorry this happened to you but now you know and can catch it first next time!
Hey Cassiy great video! Though I have a question. As of now would you recommend starting working on Halloween or Christmas designs? Can't seem to choose at which one I'll have a better chance of successfully selling. Thanks:)
Christmas is the bigger selling time between the two so if you only want to focus on one, then I would pick Christmas! Christmas sales really start to pick up around September 1st, so now is the perfect time to start desinging and getting ready for xmas. Make sure to sell sweatshirts since those sell really well for Ugly Christmas Sweaters. Just keep trying new niches combined with Christmas until you find some that sell well. You've got this!
On the etsy profit calculator - if we purchase it will there be a link for updates if prices and fees change soon or will we have to figure it out in excel to change it if need be?
You will fill out the prices of the items you are using, and the fees you would change if they get updated. But it's not any complicated spot, it's super simple to update. There is a page at the end of the document where the table is and you just change the number! I tried to make it super simple
When I upload a design to Printify that I made in Canva using 4500 x 5400 it has to be resized to fit in the design box. Then it will give an error that the design is low resolution because of the stretching. How can I fix this?
This was so easy. I do need to get more familiarized with canva though. Thank you Cassiy! Would you recommend selling more sweatshirts than regular shirts for halloween, or it doesn't matter? Also what are you thoughts on making items non refundable?
I would recommend listing all Halloween items on both, and I don't take any returns or exchanges. I do make exceptions sometimes but this happens very very rarely that someone even asks!
If you want to get good at a certain software just use it a lot and explore it. I'm still learning stuff about Canva and I've made Over 1500 designs on it.
No this is just kind of random the size I make it on the canvas but usually somewhere around that so I have room to move things without them going off the edge.
I don't. I got a best seller my first year with the keywords "teacher sweatshirt". Just make sure you are making designs that aren't just a carbon copy of everything on that page and have great mockups! A lot of people avoid these big niches and categories thinking they are oversaturated but Etsy shows everyone different search results based on where they live and what they have clicked on/purchased in the past.
Hey Cassiy I am a bit confused on the file format as I have been primarily been using Canva's images. But if I am to use images from Creative Fabrica, what file format do you generally use? I see a lot of PNgs, but I thought you can't manipulate those much in Canva ( for example remove text or other elements, etc. from original Creative Fabrica file)
Yes most of what is on Creative Fabrica are just PNG's, not editable svgs. So most of the customizing to the design would be adding different elements together and adding text!
As always this was so helpful! I’ve been on the fence about getting creative fabrica since I have canva and am already paying for canva, everbee and salesamurai that I wasn’t sure if it would be worth the extra money since I am a new store and no sales yet since opening 2 weeks ago. I’m getting really impatient and thinking that maybe splurging will actually help me get a sale in the near future. So thanks for helping me learn something new about canva and pushing me over the edge to get creative fabrica. 😍
Glad I could show you some fun new options, feel free to take it slow, you don't NEED any of those things to be successful.. besides Canva lol you need Canva! Congrats on getting started though!
Thank you again for putting up such an informative video. I started my shop, but I've been suspended since last week. I do have a question though-- If I want to offer free shipping from printify on my shirts, how would I go about setting that? Do I create a shipping profile On Etsy? It looks like printify has a default shipping option of around $8.00..
Yes so you make a free shipping profile on Etsy and that's how your customer receives "free shipping", you are always going to charge shipping but you just either include it in your total price of the item or not. ruclips.net/video/pSs0nMfRqZc/видео.html here is a link to the part in a video where I show how to set up the free shipping profile. Now everytime you make a new listing on Printify, you always select this shipping profile at the bottom before listing it. Hope that helps!
@@CassiyJohnson Thank you so much! I remembered you going over it, but I couldnt remember which video it was. I'll have to play around with etsy once im off suspension.
@@gin.and.j Yes sorry about the suspension, it's so annoying that they do that! So just keep making designs and listing them into Printify in the meantime, that way as soon as you shop is back, you can just push them through!!
It’s great to watch your design process step-by-step, Cassiy. Did you take any training for Canva or did you teach yourself over time? Thanks as always.
So glad you enjoyed it John! I have mostly just learned it as I have gone along but I watched some tutorials on how to use Godaddy Studio, which was the design software I used before Canva. They are pretty similar so I already had a good sense of how to use it. There are some great tutorials out there on how to use it though if you want more videos like this to watch, Detour Shirts channel has some great canva videos!
Thank you very much, Cassiy. I’ll definitely look at that channel for some tips. You’re doing a great job with your channel and I wish you great success. See you on the next one. 😄
Hi cassidy. I have a esty shop that i started 2 months ago. Last month i had sales but this month nothing yet. Im not sure what the next step to getting sales again. Im working on halloween and fall items at the moment. Any advice would be great.
I think just like this video states and the one I made last week about how to get 100 sales fast, you need to be focussing on what is selling right now. So keep doing your research everyday and finding best sellers. Then you need to ensure that you are making designs that are in trending styles. You also need to make sure your Etsy listings are super professional, are you using the very best mockups you can find? And only those mockups, not ones from Printify. Are you answering all of their questions they may have within the photos with photo cards, size charts etc? You want to think of each listing as it's own Etsy store and make sure that once someone clicks on the listing, that it gives them all of the confidence they needed to buy! There is no other secret sauce, if you aren't seeing the sales you want, then you are probably missing the mark on one of theses aspects. Hope that helps some and best of luck!
Hi Cassiy! I can’t get enough of your videos. I watch them almost every day. I want to ask how do you list a T-shirt , sweatshirts and hoodies in one listing or design? Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you ❤
Cassidy I have a question let say I want to use the phrase “I am enough” and I look on trademark and “enough” is trade marked that means I can’t use the entire sentence?
No you should be fine to use something generic like that. But keep in mind, just because there is a trademark for something, doesn't always mean that it's trademarked for shirts.
I love your videos!! You pop thru my feed and i always ended up clicking love your content. I really want to open my store but i OVER THINK EVERYTHING! The struggle is real for me😊! I do have a question: is it possible to take the ghost out and use it solely? Like could you cut him out in canva to use on a shirt by himself?
Thanks for the videos Cassiy:) Wondering: another channel who had 200 active Etsy listings said he spent 2-3 hours/night after his day job answering questions & doing customer service for his Etsy shop. Does that sound right to you? Sounds like a big time investment & not all those ppl contacting you with questions actually end up buying. Thanks! 😍
So I spend probably 20 minutes per day on customer service, sometimes around the holidays it can get crazy like that though. You need to try to make sure all of the questions people have are answered in your photos. Not everyone goes to the description so if you can make it as easy as possible to find the answers to peoples questions without messaging you, then you will get less messages! Also if you offer custom orders, then you will get lots more messages. So if you are concerned about customer service, maybe don't do custom items!
Awesome video Cassiy. So many A-ha moments! 🤩💯💥I have a question for clarification ... I've noticed in your tutorials that you use the top 50% of your 4500x5400 templates to place your designs. I made an assumption that I should be filling up that space for resolution purposes, then sizing down the image to on the shirt. Is there a scenario when it makes better sense to use the entire template (ie, maybe a tall and narrow design that would otherwise look too small/crunched confined to the top area)? 🤔 Oh, and can you point me to the video where you talk about a strategy for doubling your listings by creating a separate listing for a different color? I want to get some clarification on that as well Thank you!
ruclips.net/video/9RHGt876_pM/видео.html I think this is the video where I talk about doubling the listings! As for the designing, that's a large enough canvas that you can use the top half or all of it just depending on the shape of the design. I make all of mine just the way I showed in this video and they are definitely high enough quality for printing!
Cassiy!!! I pray God blesses you abundantly in every area because the way you’ve put detail and patience in explaining these steps😭 thank you thank you thank you!

You’re honestly such a life saver, thank you for making these videos
So glad I can help, thanks for watching!
I just wanted to tell you how much I have been getting out of your videos. I only discovered these in the last couple of weeks when I saw you in an interview. Everytime you give me something new even if it's just a technique I hadn't known about. Keep these coming as I love that you are giving us newbies some direction.
I am so glad you found my channel and are getting value from my videos
Thanks Cassiy! Will work on my designs for the holidays starting today!
Yess so glad I could inspire you!!
Cassiy just thanks. Ive been watching your videos lately and it’s been such a breeze to follow along. I have listed 4 items and I’m trying to work up to 50 listings a week on my spare time. You are awesome
That’s a great goal!! I’m glad my videos are so helpful for you!! ❤️
Spooky mama shirt is super cute 😍 love both designs
Thanks Nichole! Hopefully it helped you see how easy it can be to create nice designs
But I also am making a bunch of sales and don't mind spending the money on both since I am just going to write it off at
the end of the year anyways! I hope that all makes sense hha thanks so much for watching!!
Wow, what awesome information, thank you!!!
You are so welcome, thanks for watching!!
Thanks you so much my first time learning alot from you

Hi. Great training. Do you have a video about creating wall art?
No so sorry I have never created wall art before!
@@CassiyJohnson totally makes sense and an awesome hack! Thank you!

I love this and you so much! You and Jenny as well as the life hacker couple have inspired me. I started my store a little less than two months ago and I have 12 sales. Which doesn’t sound like much but I’ll tell you it means the world to me! I’m so excited to continue this journey ❤️

Hi Cassy, thank you so much, great video. Well I don't have store yet, I am working on but I'm learning a lot from great successful people.
So glad you are liking my channel! I'd challenge you though Gloria to just not overthink it and open an etsy shop and a printify account today! Hi Cassiy really into your videos, I download days ago the peace and love font but i just realized that I only have the solid version? how i can get the outline version?
When designing on a long sleeve or hoodie for printify which brand do you use or recommend?
I like to use the Bella Canvas 3501 for long sleeve shirts and the Gildan 18000 for sweatshirts and 18500 for Hoodies!
Love your videos.plz mention in Canva which file format is best for pod?
You need to download your designs as a .png transparent file and for mock-ups you need to download them as a .jpeg file!

Hey Vassiy, I really like your video
Hi Cassiy... With regards to faulty t-shirts...If the customer receives a faulty t-shirt, can you notify printify and they will sort the issue? How does that work please?
Tks
Yes they will take care of it if there are ever any issues! You just open Printify, find the faulty order, submit and issue, ask for a reprint or refund, send them the picture the customer gave you, and they will make a new one and send it to the customer for you!
@@CassiyJohnson Aw thank you so much Cassiy... Brill!!

@@CassiyJohnson OK cool... Sounds good Cassiy... Thanks for your feedback... Might just do that than... Lots to think about lol..
Tks again..

@@CassiyJohnson Thank you so much!
You look fantastic!!!! 💕💕💕💕

Could you PLEASE do a tutorial for how to design for mugs using Canva and Printify? There are very few out there. I have been trying, but my designs end up too small on the mug. This would be so helpful. I want to branch out in my products, but mugs are hard especially the 15 oz and the enamel mugs.
Here's my review of the mugs if you haven't seen it ruclips.net/video/VPO7Tqu59aw/видео.html
And there should be no difference in the way you design mugs compared to t-shirts.
Please help.
hmm not sure what you mean by it's really white, I guess make sure that you saved the design as a transparent background png file!
@@CassiyJohnson that was it. The transparency thing. Thank you. I am spending my holiday getting everything up and running. Thank you!!!!!!!
Very helpful & nice video.
Thankyou.

So glad you found it helpful, thanks for watching!
Following, would love a video about this!
Great call out Lisa, I will start working on putting a video together for this, I think that's all good info that people would want
Hello,
I’m confused, I though you couldn’t use pro elements from canva for commercial use only free elements.
Im getting a little discouraged. I've had my shop in full running mode for the past two months and no sales. Ive added 12 listings so far, and not sure if what im designing is working. I chose to design random design t-shirts, and hoodies for now. I don't know if adding more listings will make a difference in potential sales?
SOOOO helpful as always thank you so much!! ❤️🙏🏻
So glad you got some value, thanks for watching!!
Thank you Cassiy ❤️
Do you buy each shirt to make sure it prints well ?
No this is not necessary at all, these printers do a great job!
@@CassiyJohnson thank you so much! I’ve been wanting to start and have a few designs but realized how expensive it would be to order each shirt for “quality control” and kind of gave up a little.
How do you know what size to have your font letters at? I get nervous I am making them too big or too small 😩
If you have subscriptions to both canva and creative fabrica, does canva automatically pull images and fonts from creative fabrica when you are designing in canva?
No you need to upload the fonts and graphics after downloading them from CF and upload them to Canva! They are not connected at all.

@@nicoleordaz4000 Wow that is so sweet, I am so glad you are loving my videos!! I appreciate the support

Thanks so much for the support
Hi, I don't know what I'm doing wrong. If I download a creative fabrica design to canva the white portion, letters etc disappears. I would have to use a darker back ground to design not the white like you are using. Thanks
You just need to click the background of your Canva design and then change the color of the background to black, that way you can see the white elements of your design while you are designing!
@@CassiyJohnson thanks for responding. I love your videos.
Thanks!!
You are allowed to use Canva Pro elements in commercial designs but not by themselves, they need to be apart of a larger design ie. words and other graphics added.
here is a link to their license, www.canva.com/help/licenses-copyright-legal-commercial-use/
Always a good idea to read it yourself anywhere you are getting graphics from and make sure you understand the license that comes with it!
Thank you so much Cassiy for your wealth of information! Your videos are making the POD/Etsy set up much easier to approach. God bless you
hi, cassiy! can the dimensions for the design be 5400 x 4500 for horizontal designs? (i’ll only be selling on Etsy for now.) thanks!

You mentioned these in a previous videos and I’d love to hear more on this subject.😊
Thanks so much in advance!!! You’re the best!!!!! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
So glad you are enjoying my videos Virginie!! I typically just use whatever shirt is in stock in the sizes I need from Swift POD, I have found they are a good option for group orders since they have one of the biggest selections.
GREAT VIDEO IDEA! I second that!! Also great work Cassiy. Appreciating all your content
I wonder if the graphics on canva are the same as with over - you can use them for 400 sales but then you have to retool them.
Hi, I've tried to find the Best Sellers in Filters both ways (regular and incognito mode) and do not see it. Has Etsy take this filter aways?
@@CassiyJohnson How do I go about adding it to the other shirts? It didn’t even show up in “other orders.” 🙁
New subscriber! Absolutely love the way you explain everything and it’s all so beautiful. You’ve made me feel so inspired 🧡
Hi Flo! Thanks for subscribing! So glad you liked this video!
I would live a video showing how you organize all of your purchased and created graphics and fonts.. they are like glitter.. they're everywhere lol!!!
Just made this video finally because you aren't the only one who has requested this lol It will come out tomorrow morning
Do you always make the design one to two inches from the borders on the side?
No this is just kind of random the size I make it on the canvas but usually somewhere around that so I have room to move things without them going off the edge.
How do you find / verify the bestsellers have low enough competition to be found as a new seller?
Hey Cassiy
I am a bit confused on the file format as I have been primarily been using Canva's images.
Great video!
Thanks so much, so glad you liked it!!
How do you up load fonts from creative fabrics into canva
You go to the fonts section on Canva, and you'll see a section to add fonts, then grab the OTF file for the font from your downloads!
Hi Cassiy. Thank you for all of the information. It is so helpful! Where can I find your calculator for sale?
Sorry if it was hard to find, here it is for you! ▷ INCOME/EXPENSE REPORT WITH PROFIT CALCULATOR: www.cassiyjohnson.com/offers/MzHSQtPx
@@CassiyJohnson thank you!
With creative fabrica if you subscribe do you get all the fonts and images for free?
Thank you
Thanks for the videos Cassiy:) Wondering: another channel who had 200 active Etsy listings said he spent 2-3 hours/night after his day job answering questions & doing customer service for his Etsy shop.
@@CassiyJohnson thanks! Good idea about putting info in photos 😃
Oh, and can you point me to the video where you talk about a strategy for doubling your listings by creating a separate listing for a different color? I want to get some clarification on that as well Thank you!
ruclips.net/video/9RHGt876_pM/видео.html I think this is the video where I talk about doubling the listings!
As for the designing, that's a large enough canvas that you can use the top half or all of it just depending on the shape of the design. I make all of mine just the way I showed in this video and they are definitely high enough quality for printing!
@@CassiyJohnson Ok, thanks!
