      I told you in your other video that I would be on a roll and I am, I started with your first video and I'm watching them all. The information I'm finding here is invaluable. You are really good at what you do. And thank you for teaching it to us. I do have a question for you, when I first started researching POD I came across a coach I'm not going to name the person but basically the coach teaches that creating simpler phrases such as "the best mom in the world" as an example. And they teach that you should then take that phrase and add every possible relationship that you can to it, dad, sister, brother, grandmother, best friend, and so on And then label that design over every single piece of merchandise that these stores sell, hats, shower curtains, towels, t-shirts, and so on. The idea is basically multiply as much as you can and get them out there on your store. I'm curious if you agree with that or not or do you pick and choose the merchandise that you use? Or do you keep it simple and just do your T-shirts your tumblers your sweatshirts and all the basics? Again thank you for your channel

      @renofheavens2 2 года назад +4

      @@brian8431 i heard her say to keep it simple at first, like t shirts and sweaters. Then if the design starts to get more sales, you then would want to put the design on other things as well. I'm guessing that way you spend more time making different designs, each with their own potential for succeeding

    Thank you SO MUCH! I am trying. I was a mental health therapist. A really good, smart, talented, creative one. But I couldn’t do it anymore. I worked with the most damaged people. Who are beautiful people. But my agency only gave lip service to support. Complexity fatigue. I couldn’t do it anymore. I believe I’ve found my true calling. POD ITEMS. But no sales so far. It’s hard. Because my family depends on me. I appreciate you SOOOOOOO MUCH!!! thank you. I will keep on.

    Great video. Especially the section with the fonts :-)
    Regarding creative fabrica: Taking graphics from there 1:1 is not allowed if you want to offer the design commercially. You have to change or add something. So to take a prefabricated t-shirt design from there in the original version is also forbidden if you want to sell it.

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  2 года назад +9

      If you have the "POD full license" then you are licensed to use graphics as is. But I am recommending never to do that anyways and only to use graphics to make your won designs.

    You are by far the best POD youtuber I've seen. Many people aren't willing to share the knowledge you are giving for free.
    My question is, can you use a quote from a historical famous person or anonymous author? What about a quote from like African proverbs?

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  2 года назад

      I really appreciate your kind words, I am so so glad to be a helpful RUclipsr!!
      As for quotes you can use, anything someone else made can fall under copyright. So make sure to check for trademarks and if its not trademarked. If something is old enough, then it can fall under "public domain" so like African Proverbs possibly would but even some quotes from the Christian Bible are trademarked. So just do your research, there is unfortunately no exact answer, everything needs to be checked.

      Hey I can’t meet 1:1 right now but I do have some SEO videos on my channel if you go look for them. Essentially everything you need to know is to look at what the bestsellers are doing, and do the same thing! Don’t just copy one bestseller or anything, but look at the top 4-5 bestsellers for a niche and write down all of the keywords they use for titles and tags and then make your own version to make sense for your design!

My question is if a listing is not selling, how long do you let it remain for sale on your account before you decide not to let it renew?

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  2 года назад

      I like to let my listings renew 2-3 times before I change them to manual renewal, then at the end of that timeframe, they will just deactivate automatically! I do this as I see them renew each day.

      Its a slow start, so just be ready and steel your mind that it takes 3-4 months usually to really see any real traction. Focus on the things selling right NOW, like pro choice shirts, fathers day, pride month and Fourth of July shirts to jump start your store quicker! Be in this for the long haul and you will do so great

    I see people of course argue for and against Etsy. I understand the downside would be the fees you're going to pay vs. creating your own website, but maybe the increased exposure and sales makes up for it?

    Cassiy! You’re amazing thank you so much for your videos, they help so much!! I had a quick question to ask you. I know we are supposed to look for 20 plus views on a listing and if they are best seller. Do you suggest we copy that design but just change it around? Or do you suggest we make our own unique design off of that niche that’s popular? What do you think works better? Thank you!

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  2 года назад +1

      Great question Gabriela! It all depends on the design. If its a funny saying on a shirt, you should check if its trademarked, and if its not, make a totally unique version of it for yourself. Then maybe even make a related shirt but different saying but use the same SEO that brought that shirt all its sales. Try to always bring something new, you never want to make a discounted version of someone else's design if that makes sense!

    Question, I already have an Etsy shop that’s up and running selling physical items and I want to expand to doing print on demand. Would you recommend opening a new shop? Since I make personalized tangible items that I myself make and ship, should my POD items be in a separate shop? I hope my question makes sense. Thank you!

    Hi Cassiy, thank you so much for your content. I am in the midst of setting up my shop and I learnt so much from you. I have a question - Do you list all 4 design styles under one listing? Or each design style is one listing although the concept/text is the same? Based on your experience, which is better?

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  Год назад +1

      I typically list them separate because it’s a lot faster and automatically connected to Printify. But you’d be welcome to do it the other way, just know this is a very manual process to connect it to Printify. You’d have to copy and paste each SKU for every size and variation to make it fully connected.

    Cassie, I am having trouble with placement of the design on the shirt. Like in the print file template, making sure that the design will be located where I want it. For example a word or text across the chest and it not being to high or low. Like in some of the examples you showed in this video. And that placement on the front where a pocket would be. I want to make some shirt with designs on the back and a small little design in the front. Have you done a video on this yet? Or any advice. Thanks for all you do! Been following along with you since LHC did your first interview! You are inspiring to us all!

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  2 года назад +1

      Hi Lori! It’s hard to give you exact advice on this since every printer has a different print area. It’s all just trial and error for sure. I just guess, then look at the preview on printify and adjust if necessary. There’s not really an exact science to it unfortunately

To make my Etsy shop work i needed a different approach and the print on demand sounds a great thing to get in involved,so give it a go and not doing as well as i hope so now i am thinking on just doing the USA market instead of the uk as Etsy is bigger in USA whats your thoughts! and i do like your coarse and would the coarse improve my sales being in the uk.
