Hi hannibal, just started watching the george Knapp and Jeremy Corbell (think his name) interview on joe Rogan podcast 3 days old ago, thought ya might find it interesting to watch on your own or review on here for new content etc it interesting stuff so far :)

WCW had a ton of variety when Raven came in; especially during that time. Some of us had no exposure to ECW whatsoever so that was the first time we saw the Raven character on television. Great character. I had totally forgot he was Johnny Polo until many years later. Hahaha
Raven was definitely one of my favorite around the flock days and Saturn too. Death Valley Driver was one of my favorite finishers
@@bodhi8297 lol yeah I liked his submission too but all that head rolling I didn't like lol. That and the crippler cross face r some of my favorite submission. Lion tamer/walls of Jericho too.
I don't remember the name of Saturn's partner in ECW( I think their tag name had execution in it), but when they use to do the high kick and the leg sweep at the same time, that was fucking tits.
A Stumps His partner was Kronus (John Kronus) and he was really under rated as well. His 450 for a guy his size was great and their tag team was “The Eliminators” and the finisher you’re talking about (that was awesome) was ... Total Elimination

I will never forget on Monday Night Nitro in 97 I believe when Raven and Macho Man did a stare down I thought they where going to feud
So many opportunities. Raven vs Savage would've been real interesting. Honestly Raven vs just about anyone would've been good. Raven had an "even flow".
They all dropped the ball with Raven.That gothic depression shit was hot back then and I wish they were better at handling Ravens career and that epic Evenflow ddt.
Raven If use right at the time in WcW, man, imagine his continues battles he could of had with Benoit, Guerrero, Jericho, Booker T and other talents.....Raven deserves to be WcW Champion.

What a great career Raven has had
Raven was my first favorite wrestler when i was REALLY young and hardly even knew what wrestling was. but i cant still remember seeing him looking like 90's personified, sitting in the corner of the wcw ring. He really knew how to stand out and i never forgot his look
Raven is in my top 5, butni will admit I was very young in his OG ECW run so I mostly found him in WCW then read old mags my dad had and seen his ECW work and was sold like "Yeah this guy is who I'd wanna be as a wrestler" lol.
To this day I feel every company but ECW and maybe TNA and ROH dropped the ball with how great Raven really is.

I noticed his T-shirt says "quoth the Raven" and I was thinking wow, he misspelled the word. I thought it would be "quote the Raven." But the jokes on me, I never knew *quoth* is a word lol...

The Stevie comment was that when he got to WCW Raven squashed him almost immediately and Stevie went up to Raven and said something like how are people ever supposed to believe that I can beat you after that and Raven said something like shut up and he was just there to be his bitch (from what I recall).

Has anyone ever asked Raven what the storyline was supposed to be about when Raven was hanging around his house by the pool, and then they showed a picture of Roddy Piper in his house? The story never went anywhere after that.
Just him and Jim "Sandman" Fullington hanging out. Piper was probably one of Scotty's heroes.

there was some bit i thought i imagined where they mentioned that Raven had 1 foot shorter than the other. then just last night on Nitro i saw the bit. i know it wasnt real but its something that just stuck with me forever.

I loved Saturn as a performer. But, when I was 12 I met him & he was such an asshole to me! But, his partner from the Eliminators John Kronus, was a great guy! He looked like Crush!!!
I heard even Saturn and kronus didn't get along
I'm guessing this was around his ECW/WCW time? So I guess he was on drugs around this time

Raven is a good dude, but Hannibal you need to invest in a better backdrop. You're the #1 wrestling podcast IMO so you have to show that.
I've got about 100 different ones but I like this one for now.
I wouldn't say Raven was underratted in WCW becuase in a land full of main eventers Raven did get alot of tv time and he did shine in his programs. They let his character develop and I enjoyed his backstory of being spoilt. I just think there was only so far WCW management would let Raven go.

That's the only correct way to say AEW is like ECW with the freedom people have. They are opposites in every other way.
WWE did far better with the ECW guys than what WCW did.
