Life Inside The International Space Station

  • Ever wondered what it’s like to work in space? The brave men and women of the International Space Station are truly a special breed, but at the end of the day they’re just regular people, going about their jobs.
So join us today as we shadow our higher ups and learn all about a day in the life of an ISS astronaut.
When hurtling around planet earth at 17,100 mph, standard human notions of day and night start to look pretty silly. In a normal 24 hour stretch, a typical ISS astronaut will see the sun rise, and set, 16 times in total. Human bodies did not evolve that way. So a regular 24-hour earth day is maintained up there, if nothing else to prevent the crew descending into a grim spiral of permanent crippling jet lag.

Despite the 600Mbps mentioned in the video - alas very little of that is actually available for general "internet browsing". That 600Mbps is shared across all users/uses of the ISS (think of the telemetry/video downlinks / 100's of experiments).

At about 5:18 - 5:21 mark when astronaut goes around corner he fades out to nothing before completely going around corner. This can only happen using video effects with multiple layers. Don't believe me? Just watch at time I posted. It's undeniable

It's clearly just a transition to speed up whatever video that's from. It's not only possible "using video effects with multiple layers". Do you even know what you are saying?

This might be the stupidest comment in the comment sections.
It’s literally just a f**king transition bro. Just skipping to later footage using a fade transition, and since the camera is in the same spot and all of the objects in the room are stationary, the only thing that fades out would be the astronaut.
I could school you in 5 follow up comments explaining why every part of what you just said is wrong, but I don’t like to waste time.
Learn how basic video editing works, how gravity works and how to do simple research on a topic before you comment.
