Just got mine today. And here I am learning new stuff from your video. First PHEV. Stellar ride. Build quality is top notch. Waiting installation for my L2 charging station at home. Not missing my Atlas R-Line 2021.
Thanks for the vid. I have been charging my CX90 PHEV mostly at Charge point stations, 1 Electrify America station and an Enel X station. All have been easy to use.. I wish that the fuel efficiency screen would have numbers as opposed to graphs, and a way to download the history in the phone app
How often do you charge at public stations? I am trying to see if it's worth buying this car, public charging 2-3 times a week to see if I can save some gas money. I drive 25 miles daily to work and back.
I can't charge at my condo bc there are no outside outlets so I charge publicly... it's not ideal bc I don't have 2 hours to kill all the time, though the units I use are at a big mall, a target or at a bunch of restaurants... the BEV range when it's below 40 drops a good amount.. the best situation is where you can charge at home and at your workplace
Watched a lot of CX-90 vids and your one of the VERY few to talk about the charge button via the engine. I would LOVE to see someone (you perhaps) do a video covering this in more depth. I think this could be very useful depending on how you use it. For example on a trip of about 100 miles round trip; The start is mostly highway but your mid destination is where the city driving is at. If you use the battery in EV mode for the first part, then while on the highway recharged via the button and then went back on EV in the city at the middle of the trip, and then drove back home home on gas with charging again... would that be more effective than say a Rav 4 prime where you use all 40 miles of the EV up first with no way to recharge on the highway via the motor? Perhaps? Or even compared to stopping and recharging on a EV charger while in town, .... compare the gas price hit using the recharge button compared to charging at a station... No one has done a video on this. No idea how much of a MPG hit you get for using this either in the city or on the highway... I Would love to see someone cover it via a video. Perhaps this could be a hidden gem of a feature if used in some situations like the one listed above if it doesn't take a big hit on highway MPG to recharge.
You get used to the shifter after a bit.. i occasionally get in in N instead of R... but its a stupidndesign that is not necessary.. as for storage, the center console is very shallow - i had thr CX9 which was way deeper.. storage is less that the CX9 it feels
I was told whatever you do not try and charge it with a level 3 charger because you bought a piece to make it work. Yes it will charge faster but it can destroy the battery. It won’t be under warranty when you do that and the battery cost 20K out of pocket.
Not related to charging, but do you have trouble with putting the vehicle into park without mistaking park as reverse? Also, do you have enough storage space in the center console? I looked at the CX-90 in the showroom, and I thought the gearshift was a little confusing.

A downloadable history would be really cool!

This is all completely incorrect.

Personally didn’t have an issue with the gearshift but the storage could be a bit larger, not too bad though.
cannot charge it with normal electric port just like you do with phones?
You can at home
mpg 27.4 not bad
Wait how long does it take to charge to get 26mi range?
2.5
10 to 11 hours on a Level 1 charger. 4.5 hours on a level 2. Both assuming you have 0mi EV Range left before charging.
hey mate.. no ambient light in cx 90 ???
No :/
simple thing.. 2 penny cost... uff@@Allcarnews
Can you use fast charger?
No
@@Allcarnews thank you
