I think the Koorui GN10 would be better (and Im a Samsung Guy) the reason is the Mini LED is easily seen. G7 8 zones vs 384 Koorui Zones. HDR would be so much fun and sdr peak highlights would be more pronounced. Tho the Quality control on the Koorui needs to be seen as they are fairly new in the usa at least. @@DisplayReality Thanks for the input, Viktor. There's precious little content about this monitor on the internet, so I was happy to find this video. I've followed 4K HDR monitor news for a year, but got disappointed with the OLEDs' 400 nits brightness at >5% white, and the QC / OSD issues of mini-LEDs like Neo G8, XV275K P3 / M27P20 Pro, etc. So, I'm getting the GN10 as a temporary upgrade to my current cheap monitor, since the GN10 also has suitable specs and the form-factor to be a side monitor next to a future premium 4K OLED / mini-LED. Thus, it won't go to waste when upgrading again. :) And the 300€ price is incredibly tempting in Europe where almost all other HDR monitors are overpriced atm (in many cases we're literally subsidizing the cheap US prices).
Can you do a vs video on this KTC vs AOC Q27G3XMN? Or would you say its just about the same as the Koorui GN10 seeing that it has even lower zone count (336) but it does have a feature called Shadow Control though. You should do a mega vs. between the KTC, InnoCN, Koorui and AOC for best budget 27" 1440p mini led monitor.
The AOC has better native contrast so for HDR and overall picture quality it beats the Koorui despite fewer zones however the latter is the only mini-LED with 240hz refresh rate so if you're competitive player that might be more important.
Are you able to use 120hz on PS5 with this monitor? Because it doesnt has HDMI 2.1 which is required to get more than 60hz on PS5. However i ve heard that 120fps might be possible even with HDMI 2.0. Would be great to hear if you tested it mate
When you switch to 240hz using Nividia Panel only 8 bit is available, but HDR would still be on using windows sittings, so Idk if now its hdr with 10bits compressed, or if it is just 8bit. I can not tell the difference at all tbh
if only the GN10 had a 4 port usb hub + USB C DP + HDMI 2.1 ports + BenQ like features & bezel-less design (like the LG OLED monitors) it would be the best monitor below $400 imo

The KTC isn't available in the UK and 384 still wasn't enough zones for me so I just went with the Cooler Master GP27Q and I'm very happy with it so far on the latest firmware
@@DisplayReality Cheers Viktor, I think that KTC are the ones that make the 576 zone backlight used by Cooler Master and AOC in some of their monitors. Cooler Master also add a Quantum Dot layer though for more pop, but it is a fast IPS so looks really washed out with blacks without local dimming enabled. They're supposed to have a VA version coming out early 2024 iirc. The problem I have with VA though is that imo Samsung are the only ones that have made it work well with very little black smear and latency. The problem is that their 1440p HDR line up is pretty much non-existent.
@@DisplayReality How similar are they? I know the KTC is VA, and the CoolerMaster is IPS. My main worry is that the CoolerMaster will be much more noticable with the local dimming blooming. I can get the KTC for around 500 usd, and the coolermaster for around 550 usd. Not sure which to pick lol

With hdr turned off, they are quite the same. I tested adding or removing calibration files, no impact on the issue. Has anyone a clue? I like the KTC, but thats a dealbreaker...
Do you have them both of duplicate or extend display? Turn it off and see if that changes. Mine were showing hdr issues with both on duplocate. Also maybe due to the KTC not yet being updated it could cause that issue to show.
@@DisplayReality Thx for answering! In dublicated mode I was not able to activate HDR on both displays, so I used extended (win11). My KTC had a newer firmware than available on the homepage (2.0.4). I think i'm going crazy with this issue. Maybe my display is faulty? Any other idea?

@@DisplayReality ok ! thank you ! I think the mini-led is best then !? It has a better HDR value. Thanks have a good day !!!
4:21 That's called inverse blooming. It's a local dimming algorithm issue.
Only seen with the black equalizer at max. Good thing I dont see it at all other than this way.
Did you calibrate both monitors or are they at default ?
Would you get the Koorui at £260? My friend wants to get into HDR gaming but has very little money and this is dirt cheap compared to others
Yes. I just bought another for a family member.. its a great monitor.
In my country the lg32gp850 and the koouri gn10 cost the same, which should i get considering that fact? Does the gn10 let you turn adaptive sync, hdr and local dimming on at the same time? Even if it doesn't and only allows adaptive sync i think it will still look better than lg32gp850 cause of the better blacks
The GP850 vs Koorui the Mini LEDs really look better. Sure its smaller but the image will pop way more. It is kind of a night and day difference. But check out warranty and return options you never know on the Koorui as its new to the market
great job! gn10-10 bit and ktc-8 bit. Compare to neo g7?
in hindsight which brand offers better software update to fix issues?
I just ordered the KTC for my PS5 😮💨 looking foward to it 🙌🏼
Congrats man.. Ill see if there is a new update. For PC its great. I just ordered another since the prices are low.
Nice review.. One question What do u think about Gigabyte M32UC is it worth buying ?
Thats a good option. The gigabyte M28U and its newer version and M32UC are very good for the money. Im sure you will like it alot.
Thank you@@DisplayReality
Is the koorui gn10 overall better than samsung odyssey g7 1440p? What would you suggest between these both?
These two monitors are available in my country with similar price.
If u neee to see a vs video on both I can make that happen.
@@DisplayReality I would really love to see the comparison between both these monitors and also gaming performance like response time, ghosting, overshoot etc. and Thanks for making awesome contents as usual.
But koorui is 240hz, for gaming its mindblowing, but I think it needs few tweaks with local dimming before
Great comparison! 🤙
I like the Koorui GN10 at 240hz. Great black levels and picture impact and very minimal smear. Tho at 60hz (console) its not ideal. The prices are very good.
You sir, have a new sub. Great review!!

Ufff ahorita están en descuento , gracias por el video Viktor
Where I live, currently the Koorui is 300€ and the KTC is 390€. Would you still choose the KTC in this case?
The koorui is fine. Save the money and get the koorui. It still looks great. Im sure you will be very happy at that price
And the 300€ price is incredibly tempting in Europe where almost all other HDR monitors are overpriced atm (in many cases we're literally subsidizing the cheap US prices).
@@S3lvahI got it, it’s great so far on read dead redemption 2 I’m thinking of getting a 4070 or a 3090 for nvidia rtx
This is an excellent video and very helpful. I went ahead with the KTC for my ps5
Are you able to use 120hz on PS5 with this monitor? Because it doesnt has HDMI 2.1 which is required to get more than 60hz on PS5. However i ve heard that 120fps might be possible even with HDMI 2.0. Would be great to hear if you tested it mate
Quick question, what are the rgb settings for the koorui gn10?
I have an lg gp950. Which would be a better upgrade?
Ktc is better. I have the 27gp950 also. The ktc after the needed update is awesome.
@@DisplayReality I play some fps games. Is the response time better or worse than the gp950?
Does the koorui run at 240hz with 10bit colour or do you need to drop it to 8 bit? Thank you!
Through displayport it should be possible.
When you switch to 240hz using Nividia Panel only 8 bit is available, but HDR would still be on using windows sittings, so Idk if now its hdr with 10bits compressed, or if it is just 8bit. I can not tell the difference at all tbh
Forgot to mention, @165hz 10bit is on np at all
@@nitrous390 Big thank you
@@suni08 Np, On Reddit People are saying that this Monitor doesn’t allow 10bit compression, so it must be indeed limited to 8 bit @240hz
if only the GN10 had a 4 port usb hub + USB C DP + HDMI 2.1 ports + BenQ like features & bezel-less design (like the LG OLED monitors) it would be the best monitor below $400 imo
Apparently an instance on the gn10 where the pink colors should be noticeable when you have a white windows theme and open windows explorer (app used to search items in the pc) could you please check? Thanks
Possible to get the link or file for the ktc firmware update ?

hows the local dimming in sdr content (movies and gaming) for the KTC?
Ill have another video on the koorui soon. So far hdr is nice for the price. Good hdr and even consoles are great.
How do you have the 3.0.3 version for KTC??? I'm on 2.0.5A (Europe)
Mine is rev.2 the new firmware is available on the KTC website. I will update and show how to update soon.
@@DisplayReality Only 1.2.1A (US) and 2.0.3A (EU) are available, so I'm very curious what you two are on about. Because I've been trying to unfuck the EOTF tracking issue that plagues these things at low nit levels (crushes blacks).
@@null_geodesic I show in this video both menus. The ktc I have is a rev.2 stated on amazon spec sheet. There are 2 versions and mine was released on oct 25th. Still have not updated yet
Got the LG 27gp850 and it suffers from serious random stuttering in games where i dont have capped fps, AMD graphics card and checked all the settings, i'll try reinstalling windows to see if that helps. Could it be a power adaptor or display port issue?
I have not seen stuttering on my 32" GP850 but I had to turn of adaptive sync to stop black screens. Just the normal stuff update your gpu and hard reset the monitor. (Disconnect all cables for 20min) but maybe a windows issue?
@@DisplayReality Stuttering stopped but now i have some screen tearing with freesync enabled on games where i have more than 165 fps
@@lasagna2933 have you lowered your fps/hz by 3-5 frames? From 165 to 160 or 159 in rivatuner or nvidia cap. So it never goes above the 165hz.
@@DisplayReality Yes i tried it earlier and that fixed it, i didn't think that was the problem since on the G7 i could go over the freesync range by a lot without any screen tearing
Turns out it didnt fix it completely, still getting some screen tearing but now it is significantly reduced, still notice it though, not sure what to do...
I have an issue with mine where it doesn’t seem that bright in HDR did you have a similar issue with m27t20
My m27t20? Well I have not updated it which is a must as it fixed hdr and local dimming. Have you updated yet? I will make a video next week on it. Just pls remind me say next week. Thx
which one to you like more? Also i think the KTC comes with a mini led fast IPS panel and the Koorui comes with a mini led VA panel. So KTC would be way better right ?
The KTC has less smear when you see it vs a VA panel. (VA has va smear.. not bad but its the tech) the KTC needs a major update if you buy it. To get local dimming and hdr to work.
@@DisplayReality alright thank you but still which one do you like more of the 2 monitors the KTC or the KOORUI?
I bought the GN10 and it suffered from some serious blooming issues. Moving the mouse around was terrible! In HDR it was pink as well!

Just updated with all newest firmware. Should work right away while others will need to update.
How do the viewing angles compare?
About the same. Tho the Koorui looks a tad dimmer from the side but the highlights are very bright. I wouldnt say there is an issue while watching 2-3 ppl wide
thanks a lot very helpful video, I was about to getting the Koorui GN10 but after this video I might get the KTC M27T20 instead
They are both great. Remember the KTC needs an update asap as local dimming and hdr will not work until the update. The koorui is nice too but there is alot of competition out there.. I like the koorui stand tho lol
@@DisplayReality So should I go with the koorui ? Which one do you like more? The good thing is that the Koorui is right now $200 cheaper with shipping to my country. KTC in total with shipping I would need to pay $650 and the Koorui I would need to pay $470 in total. Is it worth the extra money or should I just go with the Koorui. But which I like about the KTC in your video was that the image is so nice for example the trees you saw way better than in the Koorui monitor. What do you think?
@@DianeFoxxx At the prices you say you would need to pay the Koorui is fine. The thing is the Koorui seems to focus more on SDR highlights thats why the difference. I think you would be happy with the Koorui and saving money too. Just play around with the settings if standard mode is too off try other modes. I only really tried that mode. HDR is more comparable and equal. So if you mainly like HDR then easy get the koorui.

KTC is best but you need to update asap to fully see and enjoy
The KTC isn't available in the UK and 384 still wasn't enough zones for me so I just went with the Cooler Master GP27Q and I'm very happy with it so far on the latest firmware
Congrats friend. The KTC and Cooler Master are so similar. Even the body looks the same. Happy Holidays..
@@Spr1ggan87 Yes, I also agree with you. In addition, Cooler Master is more expensive than KTC but probably more reliable.
Not sure which to pick lol
the coolermaster panel is manufactored by KTC so they're fairly similar except that coolermaster does have IPS panel instead of VA panel@@Yucci

Hi, can u review the qn90c 43? Wonder how that perform against odyssey Neo g7 43
The QN90C 43" is better. As its glossier/better coating. Also the Neo G7 43" is based on the QN90B 43" and with a matte coating. Primarily both are tvs so just if you buy the Neo G7 it will look like a tv. I have never had a problem like others have stated. Especially at $499 thats a streal...
@@DisplayReality how about the ghosting? Is 90c better than Neo g7/90b? I’m looking for a monitor for non competitive gaming, movies, productivity and double as a bedroom tv as well, what would u recommend in the 40 inches size class?
@@derenbong6060 the $499 Neo G7 43" will fit your bill for everything. For non competative you will be happy. Tho the QN90C is a bit better vs the B. But not double the price better. Another option could be an OLED 42" c2 or c3? The 42" can be had for 799-899 on a sale. Not as bright but still very good
@@DisplayReality I get the picture now, thanks a tonne, I think I’ll get the Neo g7 at the price it’s selling at now, it’s really great value and I think that while technical tests do show a monitor/tv’s performance, it doesn’t quite translate to “experiences”, 😬
Did you use factory calibration settings
I used custom on both. I changed to my preferred settings. (I have seen calibration settings on other monitor and mine are always on point by eye, only diff is the exact rgb + or - which should never be copied as every minitor is diff) But the color tone is obvious but can be helped on the Koorui to open the brightness impact in sdr. Warm and gamma 2.2 on both.
Hi, actually I have both monitor sitting side by side trying to make a decision, when I found this video. I have one issue with the KTC I am not able to find a solution. If I have both monitors in Windows 11 with HDR on, and on both the SDR brightness slider in windows on 100%, the KTC is about half the brightness than the koorui.
The image is definitely better on the KTC but unless they provide a 240hz version, I can't see how it could compare to the Koorui :/
wait how are you runing at 2160p im confused
well i mean i know you can force it on pc lets say to run at that but if the native resolution is 1440p and your forcing it to downscale 2160p signal to 1440p arent you still getting the same exact image quality and if anything just stressing out yourt gpu for no reason and lowering your refresh rate?
