I don't know why this video is giving me a warm comfy feeling. Yes sweater midi/maxi dresses or sweater skirt sets have been a staple of mines, back since the 90s. And I still have those pieces and even with the change in body with major weight gain, I still can wear them because of stretch of the knit. I did just thrift a cream set during the summer month and can not wait to wear it. Ok I thought I recognized the lavender knit skirt and it got a little confused because flashback that I was recalling did not match your carefree photos, Monroe has a specific way she take most her photos. So again Steele influence was felt. lol I appreciate seeing some color in your selections. Like I told you that my goal. I been in love with wide legs trouser before the 80s (give you legs forever and allows air movement to) since they were in even tho I made money in college narrowing others pants legs. It seem I am pretty much set over abundantly (since you guys got me into thrifting) on all things mention in this video. I am starting to bring Fall/Winter stuff back into rotation and thrifting has been very very good to me per inventory. I do need to do some selling of some because it just so many trench coats or blazers one person can wear. Looking at doing it on Poshmark but also checking to see about is setting up my own website would be better for overhead cost since Poshmark takes 20% and I would have to do major markups to profit on some sells. Farfetch is pretty cool some prices are reasonable on their sales and you got to be quick because things sale out. Thanks for sharing and blessing to you and all in the days to come.
I notice that trench is Dior. I’ve had my long Dior wool coat for over 30 years, and still love and wear it. The quality is amazing.

My mom, aunts & maternal grandmother taught my generation thrift shopping is "treasure hunting"... Sometimes it takes more work that walking into a boutique or department store... But personal style demands you own signature pieces that distinguishes your h&m, Zara & Asos from the masses!!!

Love this video😍. In my youth I used to shop quantity. Now, it’s quality for me. I still have a trench coat from 20 years ago! I also love shopping thrift/vintage for good quality pieces. In the last month, I scored a mink jacket ($19.98) and a caramel suede midi skirt!!!!!!😍😍😍. Thank you for sharing ❤️🙏🏽❤️

I always choose trench coats with a removable warm lining, it makes them wearable almost year-round here in California. Our rare, really cold weather is dry, so I wear a wool coat then.
I just love when pieces are versatile like that. As you said, they can then be worn all year around 🔥

Fellow Brit here 🇬🇧 born in Surrey, huge cardi fan! I actually button them together in different colors in the fall and winter, you know like you did with the black and white men’s shirts inspired by Rolly Robinson. Also let’s talk about thrifted belts and leather trenches ♻️🤩♻️ I always look in the men’s section of a thrift store for extra long leather belts, the longer the better so I can cinch and loop them… gives me McQueen or Westwood feels. My fave cost me $2 and I had my initials embossed in silver foil on the end of it, looks super eco luxe. That orange trench is so Hermes 🔥🔥🔥would look amazing with all beige or caramel. I have a black leather trench I thrifted for $50…adore her! Awesome video beautiful Karen, thank you for ‘listening’ to my Ted talk comment 😂

Karen, I just realised that your enthusiasm for showing your finds (esp. when they are a bargain) is exactly like me. I used to bore my friend to death showing her all the stuff I'd got (clothes) that I considered a bargain or I really loved. To be honest I still feel like that when I get an item that is a good price and has a place to stay in my wardrobe. Everything I buy now either in fashion or not I look to the future to make sure I can still wear it (waistline allowing) for years. Oh and I got the Zara chunky knee leather boots (similar to your lace ups) and I know they are going nowhere for years and at 52 I think they can modernise any dresses or skirts. Oh and I got the dark chocolate brown cleated boots that you have in tan. Never took them off last winter and still going strong.
I will always be excited about my new pieces and when I style old with new, especially when I found a platform where I can share that with more people!! And yes, those boots will never go out of style!! Great finds 💪🏾

Waiting for black and herringbone loafers I ordered on Zulily from Butitti. Ohhhh can't wait to pull this together with black pants. Would never have dressed in men's stuff before. I plan to be a bad ass 69 yr old this fall, thanks to you.
Loved all the pieces. My fave was the black knit, turtle neck dress. It's a catsuit in a knit dress version..love! If you styled it with your wide, black leather corset style belt - that would be everything!! A close second was the 2 piece sweater and sleeveless dress set. I want to acknowledge and thank you for your conscious efforts to encourage personal style and pre-loved items instead of trends and fast fashion.
