It’s so liberating to figure out what is nonessential in one’s life and then purge it to make room for what’s next. I just did exactly that in my closet as I prepare for my next decade. (Turning 70 next month.) In May I visited Trinny London for skin care and makeup advice. It was fabulous! Now my wardrobe consists of only those pieces I actually WEAR and love, and I feel energized (not weighted down) when I walk into my closet every day! I signed up for an adult ballet class and also bought an E-bike! 70’s? Bring it!

I much prefer her hair shorter. The only reason to have hair the length it is, is to grow it out from shoulder length to long. It’s in the meh stage between shoulder length and long.

Trinny is the classic Bright/Clear Spring! She looks amazing in Bright Navy as well. Those colors make her eyes pop and skin glow. As a Bright Spring myself, I would love to get my hands on that top!

I would LOVE to see you do a new take on some of your prior Closet Confessions. For example, “[name of prior video] Redux.” You have new items in your closet, and a revised style, so it would be lots of fun to see your current take on prior subjects. It would also get more people to watch the prior videos, which is a plus! And for those of us who could never get into the trainers or chunky boots, we are loving the variety of shoe choices. I’d also love a “Mixing Textures “ Closet Confessions. ❤❤❤
I love your culling videos. You show us we're all changing and making mistakes when buying stuff. Wrong shade -out, wrong shape - out, style that doesnt suit you anymore - out. Love it ❤
Be ruthless! The shirt dress doesn't work according to what you're doing now. It's really hard sometimes to let go, but you just gotta be ruthless. Ditto for the chunky silver shoes, ditto for the asymmetrical striped dress. Many of the clothes that you're culling aren't in your colour wheel -- biscuit, cream, khaki -- I'd love for you to do a segment on colours. It so helpful in avoiding bad purchases. Love you Trinny!

Such a fun video and inspiring me to go and cull my own summer clothes (I don't have enough to call it a wardrobe!) But my takeaway from this was Trinny's idea that it's not quantity, it's whether the colour, shape, fit etc are right for me. I have work to do.... enjoyable work 😁

I stayed in Sloane Square hotel just off the kings road thanks to you and your previous video and shopped in Hayley Menzies , Cos and Varley . The blue-and-white tie-dye beach dress: ask your wonderful seamstress to add shoulder straps! They'd take a bit of weight off the rucheing/shirring, which would save it. Such a pretty fabric, and if you throw it away you'll just end up hunting for a new one just like it.

It's helped me during financially straightened times to have a collection of high quality clothes tucked away to choose from when needed or wanted.

Her purchases help keep the economy going🔄. She's not stealing from anyone or preaching a buy-buy or a hoard mentality. I actually don't see👀 anything offensive in storing, maintaining, & wearing what you already own.
Trinny's done her fair share of travel & seasonal capsules as well as exercises to bring out our neglected clothing & see them w/a fresh pair of eyes
👁👁. Plus, she's always been a big proponent of 🛒Shopping Your Own Closet & buying second hand.

Looks like the Muji stackable drawers tbh - they have sooo many different sizes & varieties of styles (pullout drawers, open top bins, subdivided dividers etc) that it's worth a gander!

Store you bikini sets in zip lock bags, it keeps them organised and then they are grab & go on holidays, plus then you’ve got a plastic bag to put ur wet swimmers in

That’s not her friend, she’s an employee. I think it’s the other way around. When the assistant clearly thinks it should go, but Trinny is talking herself into keeping it, what can the assistant do? That’s the trouble with asking advice from an employee, ultimately they have to go along with what Trinny says.

🤔Personally, I DEEPLY regret downsizing pieces where I got PEER PRESSURED by a bossy bulldozer of a pal w/an agenda of her own to do so.
Her style & taste while attractive was NEVER quite my cup of tea. This denim jacket was a forever designer piece covered in brilliant bling. Frankly, it just needed to be rotated out 🔄 of my main closet for a season or so. It was one of the few garments I owned w/sensational
💎sparkles💎 that I could actually tolerate. Trucker jackets have become a timeless classic too.
Employee or not, you'd be welcome to give your feedback. In the end, I think it's better to allow the person who OWNS the garment to make the final decision to keep or pass.
