I liked the video very much. Sir I bought an XUV300 W8O diesel in September 2021. I have watched many videos, and Sunday Q and A sessions of motoroctane regarding comparison, safety, engine performance, selecting petrol, diesel, EV or CNG vehicle etc. and Motoroctane helped me to select XUV300, based on my requirements. I am really thankful to you, you always provide knowledge of different aspects for a car buyer and owner too.

Hi I have booked Mahindra XUV400, We are almost paying 20lakhs for EL mono-tone top variant but due to liker of Mahindra I have already compromised on various important features but still, I couldn't compromise for the below features which are
1. No ESP-Electronic Stability Programme & TC- Traction Control.
2. Using an NMC Battery instead of a Longevity, robust and safer LFP battery.
3. No Rear AC Vents
4. Leave the Wireless charger aside at least we don't even get multi-charging port options.
5. Very very outdated dashboard.
6. No auto dim ORVM/IRVM
7. No heated ORVMS
8. No Hill Hold assist and hill start assist.
9. No Projector lamps.
In the official event, they have just highlighted the dimensions etc by comparing them with Tata Nexon and others
But the serious fact is what we have to do with the speed which you are giving in 8.3 seconds if we don't get ESP & TC with it.
Note: Above all missed features are available in nexon top second variant which we can get for less than one lakh than this EL variant, so now hope u understand where Mahindra's engineering and development skills in making cars, now I decided to cancel the booking and anyhow they just announce the vehicles which are not even ready to deliver in months and years. Shame on them, a company that built 300,500,700 & thar, now it's making a scrap like xuv400.
Finally feeling ashamed being a liker of Mahindra.

One more thing that during test drive I found the out side cabin noise to be more compared to even my Brezza. Hope in order to reduce weight they have not reduced the inner acoustic insulation.

What is the power rating in each MODE....
(I personally think Mahindra have mapped each mode on extreme poles , to get fastest acceleration in fearless mode , and very conservative power to get maximum kms in normal mode )

Only Nexon EV no max, the range is up to 200km which is sufficient for daily city driving.

The only sad thing is there nothing changed except the transmission when i compare it to my xuv300. Everything is almost same except boot space. Should have added ventilated seats atleast if nothing else 😅

2)Have More space inside cabin (3 ppl can seat easily in backseat compare to Nexon)
3)Have more power and performance
4)More Range
5)NMC Battery used in xuv400 compare to lfp battery in nexon, nmc is used in higher luxury ev cars eg. Tesla & Mercedes having more performance and more range oriented also more costly.
6) Long Sunroof compare to Nexon
7) More colours options to choose
8) Bigger bootspace
9) Larger Rear lamps
10) Above all its midsize suv compare to Nexon's small compact suv
11) 6 Airbags in xuv400 compare to 2 in Tata Nexon, hence more safe
12) Fire extinguisher attached inside xuv400 while nexon doesn't have this.
13) Also having one pedal drive called "L" Lively mode. Feature being first in entire segment. This is also missing in nexon.
