  • The latest flagship keyboard from Corsair is rocking their new Optical-Mechanical linear OPX switches and boasts of having the fastest hyper-polling in the world. Not only that, it features a new iCue wheel that adds some unique functionality to the keyboard, PBT double shot keycaps with a standard bottom row and the 6 macro keys on the side can also be used by Elgato Stream Deck -- but you're paying a premium price for all these features.

    Recently purchased the K100 based on Corsair's reputation and the quality of build. While I am not a gamer per se, the feature set is amazing. This keyboard is quality, and while it is on the expensive side, you get what you pay for. Highly recommended, and my go-to keyboard from here on...

    The wristpad was so snugged to the keyboard that it accidently locked the lower keys of the keyboard in place, after I pressed them. I placed two very small pieces of plastic as spacers on the wristpad so that the spece between wristpad and keyboard was a little wider. Now it functiones great.
    Other than the problem I wrote about above this is the best keyboard I have ever owned. Had to get used to the light touch but that did not take long.

    Hello congratulations for the video! I am very interested in purchasing this k100 optical keyboard, but I wanted to ask you what you think about writing. I'll explain. I currently have a Corsair k95 platinum Cherry mx speed. It's great in game, but I make a lot of typos because the keys are just too sensitive. I wanted to know how the k100 seemed to you from this point of view because if the writing experiences are similar (k95 and k100) then I would switch to the new k70 RGB PRO with cherry mx RED (definitely better for writing too, as well as for playing). Thank you for the reply.

    Corsair's keyboard design & RGB effects are simply the best, I upgraded to this from a 5 year old K70 Rapidfire (still working fine) and its simply worth every penny.. as they say you get what you pay for. The only 'disappointment' is that they use linear keys. I much prefer the Huntsman Elite for typing but the K100 would be perfect for gaming.

      @wangpie92 thank you very much for your answer but are you sure sure you have no issues working typing ? can I ask how fast you type and which switch you have on the K100 the mechanical or the optics etc the 1mm activation time seem crazy fast for typo that's why I ask... like if you type all day or program software etc I hesitate between the K100 and the Apex Pro series because the apex you can adjust the activation time on the keys but it doesn't have the 4000 polling rate for faster gaming input .... dont care about the wheel plz go on in details what you love about it and how long is the cable that come with it... like what happen if you plug just 1 cable does the keyboard work ?

    • @cloudstrife7083
      @cloudstrife7083 Год назад

      @wangpie92 but you guarantee me it's good for work and general typing ? like I press A 1 time it doesn't do 2 A or if I hold the key a bit too long it does typo or multiple time the letter etc or stuffs like that because of the 1mm activation... im really not sure between the 2 keyboard which I should buy and the K100 is my top choice...

      @wangpie92 how large is the gap in term of "feelings" and "touch" on each keystrokes compared a more normal keyboard ? I mean do you feel the quality all over its precise and super fast ? you didnt told me what happen if you plug just 1 usb cable does the keyboard work but not the color rgb ? is there any telemetry inside the corsair software ?

    If you want a good keyboard for anything BUT gaming I dont think Corsair is a good fit. Way better to look into more typing focused brands like iKBC (my personal favorite) or CoolerMaster, Filco, or Leopold

  • @mightyredstallion

    I have 2 of them and I think it's absolutely absurd that you have to install Elcrapo stream deck software on top of icue just to program the Gkeys and run macros. It's like holding my hardware hostage until I install their worthless trash affiliate company. It is absolutely unacceptable business.
