      This review is literally just an ad. Listen to the shit he says. A performance increase in gaming? Dedicating an entire segment to explain why the SoC is so important? He didn't test that shit, he's just repeating what Corsair told him.
      For the record: I bought the keyboard. It's a good keyboard. I like it. Regardless, this "review" is a poorly veiled advertisement. Kitguru has gone to shit.

      why dont you go for varmilos 65% instead? same price range, better build quality, amazing and unique PBT keycap sets and lubed stabs, not unloy that but you get arrow keys as well as a cluster of 4 media keys. If you wanna go cheaper you can buy a ducky mecha mini or ducky one2 mini which are 60% with a gamery and similar aesthetic with good stabs. This is coming from a guy typing on a corsair k95, the "nice looking brushed aluminium" attracts loads of dust and "pings" while typing, the rgb is nice, sure but the size is cumbersome and the upper chin is gigantic. I promise you, if you want a smaller, better built, aesthetically similar keyboard, buy a ducky one 2 mini, you will not regret at half the price

    Hello congratulations for the video! I am very interested in purchasing this k100 optical keyboard, but I wanted to ask you what you think about writing. I'll explain. I currently have a Corsair k95 platinum Cherry mx speed. It's great in game, but I make a lot of typos because the keys are just too sensitive. I wanted to know how the k100 seemed to you from this point of view because if the writing experiences are similar (k95 and k100) then I would switch to the new k70 RGB PRO with cherry mx RED (definitely better for writing too, as well as for playing). Thank you for the reply.

    first of all, congratulations for the review... something that can be extended to all the KitGuruTech videos in general.
    I am really in love with this keyboard... however, there are two things that I think corsair needs to implement in a future K110 (?) model:
    1) hybrid. Don't get me wrong, this is a gaming/competition keyboard, and in that sense, nothing will ever beat a wired connection. But I would like the possibility of using the same keyboard with my HTPC wirelessly the same way as the corsair dark core mouse (in fact, the 3 technologies here would be awesome as well: USB + BT + corsair dongle). I know this would mean having a battery in the keyboard, which would make it more expensive than it already is.
    2) related to previous point. Use the same dongle for both dark core and K110. If the bandwidth is too much for the current USB 2.0 or 3.0 dongle, maybe a new one could be designed in USB 3.2. Even in wired mode, I think 1xUSB 3.2 could replace the current 2xUSB 3.0
    3) in exchange, I would sacrifice the USB pass-through. For the iCUE NEXUS or mouse (which probably would not work if connected to the keyboard in wireless mode), they should be plugged directly to the computer instead of going through the keyboard (which would get rid of one of the USB 3.0 connectors - and the other could be also replaced with a USB-C version 3.2 one). I find this a small sacrifice in exchange of having an hybrid system with just one dongle (a future iCUE NEXUS could potentially be hybrid too, using the same dongle in wireless mode)

    How this compares to a Razer Huntsman V2 Analog? Is this keyboard still better?

  • @ecromancer
    @ecromancer 3 года назад

    I never noticed how many differences a UK (European?) have compared to a US keyboard. Anyways I been using this keyboard for about 3 months and wish one thing. I wish they would have the same clickyness I had with my Razer Blackwidow Chroma (clicky). The way those keys felt were way better when typing imo, but these are not bad after I got used to them. The two reasons I got this keyboard was because it has a wrist bar that I really liked, the Blackwidow didn't have one, and the extra macro key. I do use the WASD keys that come in the package with this keyboard because I do a lot of typing and it does help to position my left hand in the correct place. When I want to start typing, I don't have to find the bump on the F key. Also, I figured out it is a lot easier to clean than my razer because it is mostly flat with the chassis unlike the raised chassis the Blackwidow has.

    Been using an K95 XT with blues (have the speed as well)... just switched to this K100 with optical and literally the weight of my fingers can press the keys. Once I got use to it I think this may be the fastest keyboard I have ever used. (the other K95s will be used by my sons, definitely not going to waste)

      @co-null5599 3 года назад

      Hello, I have K95 XT with blues, I was wondering if you can help me decide to get K100 Optical or Speed Silver? And have you gotten used to regular typing too or do you only enjoy it for gaming?

    • @MarbsMusic
      @MarbsMusic 3 года назад

      @@co-null5599 I’m still undecided, still using the K100 optical but consider going back to my K95 with blues often or the K95 speed I gave my son (I know he would trade just to get the wheel, lol). The optical are fast, just so easy to press while playing at time. Definitely no issues with typing except that there isn’t a lot of bounce back like you get with browns or blues so if I had a lot of typing at one setting it would probably be bothersome. If I had to chose now I would get the Cherry switches over the optical personally.

    Non removable cable is starting to get on my nerves, I want to use my costum braided coiled cables that are with perfect leght, but can’t. Otherwise seems like a great new keyboard from Corsair. Sadly it does not come in a low-profile variant nor with other colors, say... White? As a current K65 owner, I would love to upgrade, but would first want to see this K100 lineup get TKL, LowProfile and removable cable options. For right now, G915 TKL seems to be a better, more modern K65.

    I am still rocking the original K95, no RGB just blue leds (3 lvls wow) 18 macro keys (ill be honest I never use em) and this thing is built like a tank seriously you could hurt someone with this, I have lost track of how many years I have owned this board, I bought it new so someone can tell me i'm sure. Point is if you think its expensive don't cry, go buy a cheaper one, if you don't think its worth it go buy something else.
    Having watched this review tho I am totally set on getting this K100 to replace my old K95 (someone on e-bay will get a bargain trust me).

      Have the K65 TLK for four years and works well. It was £60 against the Chinese branded £30 (that had no QA as it had silkscreen missed off one key and another key was inoperative). But £230 is altogether another step up from something like the K55 at £55.

    Only thing I hate about this keyboard are two things:
    1)Way too sensitive. I have so many duplicate keys and errors when typing it. It's just too sensitive.
    2)Software sucks. I can't get the light profiles to stay, other than the default one unless I open the software and reflash the firmware. Also, many times just to get the software to recognize the keyboard I have to...you guessed it...reflash the firmware.
    Other than that it's very nice premium quality. However, I get better typing experiences from $30 keyboards and a better overall experience from $75-$100 keyboards. So far the response rate settings don't seem to help anything.

      You can thank all the hipsters who spend thousands of dollars buying keyboard parts and thinking they became electronics techs because they can click keyboard parts together. They don't like large fonts. Large fonts make their "hobby" look childish and they need to differentiate themselves by demanding tiny letters on their keys. As an adult with poor eyesight, I appreciate the letters as big as I can get them.
      Corsair is catering to them, which in large part I would say is actually a good move, especially when it comes to the new standard to the lower keys sizes. That is pretty big for people that want to buy different color/style keycap kits. Basically, you can easily buy a set with larger fonts for $20 if you so desire.

    It came down for me between the Corsair K95 and the SteelSeries Apex 7, both with Red Linear switches. After rigorous testing of both keyboards, I ended up with the SteelSeries Apex 7. I'm not sure how I can say why I liked it better over-all, but it just "did it" for me, unlike the Corsair. Now, don't get me wrong.....the K95 and now the K100 are great keyboards, but it was partially based on the fact that the SteelSeries with the Red Linear switches was almost $45 less in cost, compared to the K95, and almost $55 less than the K100......I couldn't find $45 to $55 more on the Corsair to justify that increase in price. Honestly, the best keyboard is the one that fits YOU well, not one that has the most 5 Star reviews.

    They need to remove the stupid Corsair logo from the wrist rest, they need to get rid of the iCUE logo from the button and make the button more stable like it belongs, make the button like a streamdeck LED screen, very small and you can put whatever you want on it, make the dial have tactile feedback, change the glossy look on the top to be a bit smaller and make the caps lock and num lock and etc a little more visible, and finally include the blue streamdeck switches again.
