- This is the best acapella cover of a pop song I have ever heard. As always, huge props to VoicePlay for this incredible cover! Also, someone told me that longer descriptions help videos get noticed more so I'm just gonna ramble for a bit here. How many of you actually read these? Hey, lets do a test, if you read this make sure you include your favorite food in your comment on this video. Everyone who doesn't read the descriptions will be so confused. I had the same reaction you did when I looked at the arrangement information - whomever that person is, they really did a great job playing to the strengths of everyone singing. Also, that part where they were splitting the lines among everyone so each one was singing just 1 word at a time? That was really beautiful and surprising.
Also, my favorite food depends on who is cooking.
Yeah, usually Layne, Geoff and sometime Eli does the arranging. Did a little research and it looks like this was done by a guy that did vocal arrangements for Glee, The Sing Off (opening songs) and works with James Corden.
@@TNJenni42 I like that Eli's doing some of the arranging now. His Eleanor Rigby arrangement was inspired, in my opinion.
I think you’d love their “aca disney on Broadway” you get a lot of great parts from everyone in the voiceplay

I'm guessing youve already seen voiceplay's cover of kiss, but i think it'd be fascinating to watch you do this kind of analysis on the song. the arrangement is super interesting and everyone kills it!

Voice Play sent Adriana a video on her 16th birthday inviting her to sing with them. Her first video with Voice Play was Frozen 2 melody.
Favorite food is Italian. I’m drawn to this arrangement because of it’s modern pop sound. Great reaction.

Looks like you may have looked up Robert Dietz while putting this together. He's quite the prolific a cappella arranger, and is SO very good at it. I *really* love this arrangement. 💕

I’m pretty sure Rob Dietz has done at least one other arrangement for them. I forget which song, but I was impressed enough to look it up (which isn’t saying much-seems like I look to see who did the arrangement most of the time with these guys because their arrangements are always so good).
Pentatonix does that type of “hand-off” technique superbly in “Gold!”
I was surprised to see a new arranger for them. Love the arrangements they do themselves, but this was really good too! Love Indian food, by the way, preferably vegetarian 😊. I enjoy your reactions a lot!

It's fun watching your first reaction to Cesar. The moment he started singing in Spanish is the moment you started to fall for him lol.
I believe the technique or explaination for that sequence is called echoing.
Every singer is appointed one or a few words which gives it that bounce around effect.

also do you take requests? if so there's an amazing one man a capella artist who is also a bass singer called Tomi P. his stuff is almost on the level of most a capella groups imo.

My very favorite is Bury a Friend, with Tomi, Bobby, Peter and Marwan as The Bass Gang. I love them!
@@alexwalker8440 Yeah, I've listened to that one a few times now, and checked it against Billie's original. It's actually a kind of worrisome lyric, but the performance is just fascinating. And Marwan's video editing is awesome. The four covers they did of her stuff were just excellent.

You HAVE to check out O’GNE singing “Sing” live. Their vocal technique in that song is mind blowing
She was 15 or 16 when they did this, hence why her word "pissed" was blocked from the vocals.

Yes, your software did play the split earphones jibe. I was taken surprised since most reactors don't have that capability. I usually have to pause it and listen to that portion on the original... By the way, since I've never heard that left and right split simultaneously, my brain started hurting. It didn't know which ear to listen to. I replayed your video of that portion, and my brain just couldn't get accustomed to it. But that is so neat.

Some covers are better than the original, as the Righteous Brothers and Tennessee Ernie Ford proved. With this rendition, they joined those memorable covers - thanks to a brilliant arrangement and great talent in the group.

They do several songs in English, but the one I recommend you watch is "Uptown Funk". It is an unusual video that would have been a great idea for the pandemic, but was released five years ago. ... Guy
I'll admit I am attracted to a fair description below the name. And an attractive thumbnail, if thats what it's called,. Seeing a face looking horrified or disgusted is enough to stop me watching. But that's me. I guess some people must like that. Enjoyed your reaction. They do work very hard on their production and post production so I'm sure they appreciate your enthusiasm.

Sorry; I had to laugh about not recognizing Robert Deitz. He’s been “THE” acapella arranger. He arranged songs on the sing-off. He continues to work for Pentatonix, Home Free; and many others. He’s quite the busy man
