Big thank you to Cololights for letting me be one of the first to test their newly released LED Light Strips for the last few months. These are seriously impressive and a one of a kind product for sure! It's hard to find an LED Light Strip that ticks so many boxes: USB Powered, Cut to desired size design, WiFi, Addressable-RGB LEDs (multiple colours simultaneously "Rainbow effect"), Apple HomeKit, Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, Music Mode, in-line controls and so much more!
There are a few features that I didn't cover in this video, like the fact that you can cut these to your desired size, the fancy reactive music modes and how much the Cololight app can do. I'm planning on making another video that'll be more in the form of a review, where I'll go more in-depth on all the features.

Thx for the input on the cable clips. I tried using the adhesive and they just fell off after a few days and then got dirty due to the dust. Will give those clips a try

Doesn't the cable clip has also adhesive on it? Melting the same way as the LED strips?
Depends on the adhesive type I had my M3 tape of my LIFX stay on for a year and a half it only got weaker, when I took it down because I wanted to get a longer strip and then when you remove it it doesn't stick anymore. But with something like this it's much easier to stick it, straighten it, instead of a wobbling LED STICK and then just slide it in without using the full stick on the strip.

They do make specialized kits for mounting on the back of the TV. You may find that your LEDs begin to degrade or break with the bends in them. The special kits have extenders that make for easier cornering. We just revied a kit by Pangton Villa that had them and have a kit by Govee we still have to film. Keep up the good work sir! Would love to collab with you on an LED product! Cheers!

I've seen similar cable clips (bought them) at Dollar Tree for $1 - for about 10 of them. They have stayed well on the back of my monitor for over a year already and show no signs of coming loose.

I have installed Strip Lights. To help stick them to my display shelf, I have used a little sellotape on some places. Is that ok or will my strip lights short out or overheat when covered by the sellotape?

I connected one led lights last night and it’s worked perfectly, I turned it off and disconnected it to sleep cause the conector has a light and I sleep in a dark room. So! When I woke up and connected it back and tried to turned it on the lights make like a flash 📸, turn on but right away just turn off , and it’s not working. Idk why or what I did wrong but everything it’s connected correctly.

So your telling me a 7$ cable clips adhesive will stick to the back of a tv when it gets hot but the adhesive on 98$ LED strips won’t? Got it 📝😅

do they make any light kits that match the colors on the tv as it plays? or does that tech not exist as of yet? i would love to see something that auto matches with the colors naturally being displayed while watching tv.....

Hey em you have a really good gaming setup but I think it could use a mini fridge and u can make it rgb u can pick up some Motion censored rgb lights they take battery's love the videos man

If you don’t have usb plug on back of your tv you’ll have to
A) install an outlet with usb ports
B) use a plug in usb adapter like a phone brick plug that into wall then plug your usb into brick’

@@TechBlock ya. They fall down about once a week. I ha a 55" and I have 7 or 8 clips on top and bottome and like 5 on the sides. They fall after a few days

I would 100% do this but my TV has one built in that is great. I managed to get a 50” 4K Phillips Smart TV for only £345!!!! What a steal! And it’s awesome!! It was £799 RRP! Probably because of the Pandemic.

Duct or electric tape is good too. I upgraded my LED strip. The electric tape was still sticky after 5 years

No way I’d buy these LED lights I’m not crazy, mine are have Bluetooth connection as well as can be just be in disco mode meaning they are pulsating to the surrounding sound in the room or to my TV which I use and I payed 14.99 for it and not 120$ plus

I'm paranoid that putting the lights directly on the back of my OLED will bounce heat back and burn in or something so I'm considering putting them around the box behind the screen🤔🤔
Your not paranoid, do not put them on the back of an oled especially a CX, GX C1 G1 C2 or G2 because its so thin and it will put more heat onto the back of the screen and ruin it, that's why LG tell people to pull off the plastic dust protector that it comes with on the back of the screen part as people that have left it on have had heat build up and it's ruined their tv. Will be OK on the speaker part at the bottom or just buy an rgb bar or those lamps you can put by the side of the tv that have the same (well actually a better) effect.
@@mattg768 I've put it around the square with all the components on the Sony a80J. So far everything seems good, the TV never gets warm either though🤷♂️

i put some hot silicon in every some cm and its dead but also my fingers are dead everytime i do this i always get burned somewhere...but i have a solution,my old grandmothers cream made with pure wax and olive and some wood and the pain goes away quickly.thank you grandmother!
