Thanks Craig! Your videos pushed me over the edge. Got this CAI for my 2018 Summit, it’s a game changer! This vid helped me a lot with the install. Keep up the good work!
Bro you you did a FIRE Job showing an explaining everything 🔥🔥🔥🔥🙏🏾🏆
excellent video and instructions were so on point thanks man! Installed K&N on my 2021 Grand Cherokee 80th Anniversary this weekend!
My favorite part of the video (other than attention to detail and being real): "I like to be clean". Philosophically aligned.
I just got my 2018 Grand Cherokee. I want to do the same thing soon. Thanks to you I know how to install it. Thank you
Good afternoon, sir. Just wanted to say I too have a black 2020 Limited X, and while I normally watch stuff like Legit Street Cars, Chris Fix, or M539, you’ve taught me so much. I really appreciate learning from you about my car! Have a great weekend.
Thank you man. I appreciate this step by step build.
one of the best install vids i’ve seen. very informative 👍🏻🔥
Thank you man I appreciate that 🙌🏽🤟🏽
Thank you for your video. I was installing a K&N air filter system onto my 2021 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk, and got stumped on how to remove the old housing that was on the rubber grommets. Turned outo be very simple. Your video saved the day. Again thank you.
Perfect man! 2018 3.6 V6 and it was perfect!
Thanks man Needed this video ! And you're right, I couldn't find any other videos.
I’ve been wanting to do this to my 2020 GC High Altitude. Thanks for posting this detailed video.
No problem! Definitely a good addition.
Thank you for taking the time to make this video .. my 18 alitude will be hooked up by summer
Sooo helpful thank you for taking your time showing us that installation
Just copped my 2021 man I’m excited to put this on
Installed mine today your video helped tremendously. Thank you fam!
That’s awesome man!
Great Vid! Installing mine this week and this was a tremendous help.
Thank you man, and glad I could help 🙏🏽
Really good, informative and thorough video.
Thank you so much for uploading this! Considering picking up a Grand Cherokee soon and this was something I was planning on doing. Ive been contemplating the jeep for like 2 months now but like you said there’s nothing on RUclips of ANYONE doing this. You sir are a Saint, thank you for your service!!
I appreciate that a lot man and I hope you get that Jeep soon! #speakingitintoexistence 🙌🏽🤙🏽
Because 99% of people aren't STUPIT enough to do this to a Stock Jeep v6 !!!! Wtf over 🤦♂️
The sound from K&N sounds so nice. I just bought a FlowMaster Cold Air-Intake w an oiled filter. This video was very helpful & I can't wait to install my own. Thanks!!
Yes it absolutely sounds good! And I’m glad I could help 🤟🏽
Very informative , i ordered one. Appreciate your in depth video !!!!!
No problem 🙌🏽
Thx for reppin us Jeep Grand Cherokee Riders! 💪🏽
For sure bro 🙌🏽
Great Job details and all was in this video. 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Appreciate it bro 🙌🏽
You're welcome bro 💪🏾.
Man I just installed mine a few days ago and I absolutely love it! I can’t believe they difference it made in sound as well! It’s amazing! Cheers man🙏🏻
I’m right there with you bro 😩 and thank you, same to you 🤙🏽
Hey bro i know im a little late but i got the same model and wondering if it makes a whine sound ?
@@Rahmane3158 No.. you won’t really find an intake that will make a “whine” sound for these engines.. but they do however make it sound beefier..
@cheikhsall3656 Mike it whine? Wtf it's not a supercharger, it's a God dam open HOT AIR filter that looses power in the summer
@@kwmiked y’all need to shut up with the hot air filter crap. I truly don’t understand y’all hating on an open filter when so many people use them without a single problem.
Thank you so much! This was so helpful
Thanks. Awesome work and video. Just got 23 grand charkee WK Been looking for the best cold air intake . And I think that the k&N is best bet. For the price.. and looks great also. Again thanks plus sounds great
Just subscribed bro!! Been watching your vids for a min!! GC is cleannnn!! Awesome video!! Helped out a lot!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Ayeee thats whats up bro I appreciate that and glad I could help 🤘🏽
I absolutely love my k&n intake on my 2011 hemi limited. It's the best accessory I've added yet. It's got much better performance and sound.
K&n also has excellent customer service. The kit I ordered didn't come with the foam to go around the housing and the tube had a minor defect in it, the next day they sent me a new tube and the foam no charge.
Lol Stop it 😂
Another good how-to!
Another great video help me a lot, thanks a few pointers if you don't mind
you should tighten any bolts loose first get all 4 in and then finish tighten, silicon spray helps
I refer to them for K/N air filter and throttle body got me throught it
Good Job!
Stumbled across your channel love the content and considering getting a limited x
Thank you man 🤘🏽 glad to have you here
great video very thourough and clean good job bro
Thank you man, I appreciate that 💪🏽
Lol I’ll just run by and have you do this stuff? 😭 great videos
Great video, W
Ah shit.. looks I have some money to spend. Great video brother.
I’m subscribed, you should make a video about how to install the srt led badge multicolor
Just bought my GCLX the 5.7 and can't wait to put one on
🔥🔥💪
Thanks for the video. Just did a custom order for my truck today. Can wait for it to be built and sent to dodge.. this will be my first mod
Good deal my man 🤟🏽
That's what's up Sir
I am getting mine in next week
Enjoyed this. I just purchased a 2019 Jeep Limited X Red Velvet and thinking of installing a cold air intake on it.
Thanks man and you’ll love the added sound and performance for sure!
Great video, think 2011 thru 2020 are the same but great video sir
Nice job bro. Sounded. Much better. Great. Vid
Thank you man, I appreciate it
@@BlklimitedX I got an 18 all White. And she's. Sweet. Love the Pentastare motor.
@@billarmstrong9476 nice! I wanted white when I was buying but the only white one on the lot, some guy was already signing the papers when I went into the dealer lol
Great vid thank u
Thank you!
Not much of a horse power gain, but it will definitely sweeten the sound.and the roar under the hood is dope.💪💪💪💪
Absolutely! The sound makes it all worth it lol
The dream car
Awesome job very well done
Thank you 🙏🏽
I want jeep too its best suv mannn ... Wish you best
Thank you and I hope you get one 🙏🏽
Great video my brother::
Thank you for the help !
Clean🔥👌🏾
Thank you 🤟🏽🔥
That hooood is awesome! I WANT ONE!
Thank you man 🙌🏽
@@BlklimitedX absolutely! Where did you get it by chance?
Received my kit yesterday!! I am painting the tube black today( chrome delete GC :P ) and tomorrow is the install!
Nice! Going to look good with that black 🙌🏽
@@BlklimitedX I dont know if you can help me. Did you get the part R and S (on the plan) , it says block off, block off hood vents...i might be dumb because i cant figure out where to put them.... Metal and a rubber part..never seen that 😅🤷🏻♂️
You and me probably the first 2 people going to buy the Ripp Supercharger coming out lol
I believe you lol I’m still waiting with my deposit
That’s awesome bro 🔥🔥🔥 !!!!! Keep up the good work and videos bro 🙌🙌🙌. I have the same Jeep but in white “twins” lol . Very inspiring 👍 just a lil scared to do surgery on my baby she’s perfect the way she is lol. 💯💯💯
Right I’m the ying to your yang lmao. And thank you man I appreciate it for real 🙏🏽 and trust me I understand, it’s already a couple things I ha e that I’m going to have a shop install just because I’ve learned to know my limits.
@@BlklimitedX facts bro 🙌.
Doesn't matter if it's big or small you did that n can't no 1 take that from you
I have a white one as well.. what do you think of black tubular running boards? What about mud flaps?
Good work bro ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾
Thanks bro 💪🏽🤘🏽
you just got a new sub
Thank you 🙏🏽 and you as well!
Man. You deserve a lot more subs and comments my friend. What a friendly and informative dude. Very welcoming to someone like me who does not do this type of thing often. I am getting a 5.7 Limited X next month sometime. So awesome bro thanks again. In this video are you running stock exhaust?
That’s awesome bro, congrats!! You’re going to love the X and that Hemi as well. And yes in this video I still had my stock exhaust but I did eventually upgrade to a Borla system 🤘🏽
@@BlklimitedX Do you have video on the Borla exhaust? I assume you had a shop dot that for you?
Nice video
Thanks for sharing, Little info on the net on these. Also applies for the Durango.
I see you viral! We miss you out here!
Great job on the installation video! I’ll be installing mine soon.
Super hard bro!!!
Thank you my guy 🙌🏽💪🏽
Thank you this video helped me step by step
Welcome bro glad it could help 🤙🏽
@@BlklimitedX it really helped i loved how you went step by step and slowly showed the process
@@PAPABEAR_OMG I like to be detailed so that people can see exactly what they need to do.
@@BlklimitedX what other mods are you thinking of doing…i painted my calipers yellow i don’t have a limited x but wanted one i got the altitude
@@PAPABEAR_OMG next up I want to do new wheels and tires and then after that start on some suspension work.
Love the video!!! Just ordered mine yesterday and will follow step-by-step when installing.
Do you have any concerns/updates 5 months later? Can you wait to tune the car or does it need tuned ASAP?
That’s awesome man and thanks 💪🏽 and 5 months later, it’s performed as the first day I installed it. And no you don’t need tuning to drive with it on. Tuning can come later but it’s not absolutely needed.
very informative...
TY, brother!
Alright it's time to step into it a little 😁 . Great job and that will actually help with gas mileage too not just increasing your hp .
I have a feeling I’m going to get into trouble with this now 😅 and notice it helping a lot actually
@@BlklimitedX yes brother you are becoming addicted to the power mods now like I did .
What's left:
1)Vortex cherry bomb muffler
2) Resonator delete
3) Diablo Tuner
4) Throttle Body Spacer.
All combined = super charger which costs 8k you cab buy look them up but doing all the things listed above gets close . Word
Jeeps lookin good man. Fun upgrade that Does Not void your warranty. BUT.. If you have an issue caused by any mod the dealer can deny the warranty for that issue. Example, I did a Cold air intake and the increased airflow actually pulled the oil out of the filter covering the Mass Airflow Sensor setting off codes..Getting those issues/codes cleared were not covered under the warranty.
Now you need a Corsa Exhaust to wake that badboy up! Keep living the dream man.
Damn that’s sucks and trust me it’s something I’m aware off. But an exhaust is definitely next but I went with Borla.
@@BlklimitedX Can't go wrong with Borla..I went back and forth between the two. Look forward to that vid. Cheers!
I want to add CAI to my ‘18 Jeep GRC Altitude, but I’m about to have the dealer install a SRT hood (original with paint bubbling). But, I was hesitant because I have read that K&N CAIs will not fit under a SRT hood. Thanks for the step-by-step detailed process!
I love the hood. I have been trying to find an OEM one for my white GC
Thanks! Mine came with mine from the factory since is the Limited X model. Aftermarket ones can be found but they’re a bit pricey.
Yooooo, i have the same grand, same spec and everything i put in the same air filter about 9 months ago, i would HIGHLY recommend you get a new jetpro throttle body with a spacer and do a straight pipe, i did that and it gave me SO much more torque and power!!
I’ll look into that. I’m already running the MMX throttle body and has been great. And I’m waiting to get my exhaust installed soon.
First off……love the video and appreciate the fine detail work as it pertains to your install. I’m the same way. I like for screws to line up correctly and your comment about the adjustable clamps lining up was right up my alley. Question…… I’ve heard that these cold air intakes can present a problem because where it’s placed it’s using a lot of the heat from the engine compartment. It’s not mounted near the grill or below where cooler air will flow from outside allowing the unit to run more efficient during hot summer days. Have you experienced and issues with that?
Thanks for the kinds word man 🤟🏽 and yes the open air box design of this intake makes it more prone to heat soak which isn’t good. I haven’t experience any significant problems but an closed air box like the AFE Momentum GT intake would see better performance results.
I installed mine today and used your video as reference. Thanks for the great video and explanation. This intake makes a nice deep sound when you get on it lol. Quick question does your intake hit that silver line underneath it right before the filter?
Probably, cause these are a waste of money and junk! They rob power sucking in all that HOT under hood air off radiator and engine driving down the road 😂🤦♂️
Well done
Thank you 🤘🏽
Very helpful! Will that unit work for a 2020 Trailhawk 3.2lt?
December 2020 now; have you noticed any difference in mpg? Any droning inside the cabin? Any other issues or differences than with previous air intake? TIA
Great video, very instructive! Kudos! So impressed, I just subscribed.
Great Video! You made that look easy. Is there a big difference in performance?
Thank you! And there’s a slight noticeable difference in performance but the real tell is once you get a tune. Then you’ll truly get the benefits of an intake.
Yup change the sound big time enjoy bro
Made it sound so much more aggressive 💪🏽
@@BlklimitedX trust me since i did mine i was like wow i don’t even need a exhaust ( but ) yes i went and got those flowmaster Outlaws
@@big.trackhawkbobby and they sound beautiful bro lol. I’m doing mine next, I have all the parts just have to have it all installed
I installed a cold air on my ‘17 last year. Next up, exhaust system.
Nice bro 🙌🏽 and same here!
This was hella useful, thanks bro
Glad it helped 💪🏽💪🏽
Thank you sir for the info on the FloThroo. Just ordered one. And did you notice any performace gain from the bigger throttle body.
No problem man, and honestly a slight gain at best. I haven’t tuned my Jeep so I won’t see any real gains until I do so
Thanks for the video bro. Can you please share the part number for that filter? Want to make sure I get the right one
Thanks for the video. I want the same set up just dry filter instead of oil. Do you know where best I can get one ? I’m having issues finding a set like yours with a dry filter.
Nice clean install! What are all of those different chambers for on the factory air intake tube? There doesn't seem to be anything connected to them besides the mass airflow sensor at the throttle body connection.
It's to quite it down so u don't have to hear all the stupid noise when u step on throttle to pass somebody! Nobody wants to listen to that BS all day going on a trip somewhere! These guys are STUPIT! It's a v6! And a busted ass limited x with shitty radio and no air suspension
Definitely sounds way better. I have a 2018 altitude and I’ve been thinking about getting a cold air intake. Can you tell the difference in power when getting on the gas??
Nice! And I couldn’t tell an absolute number increase but I can say that it has more of a punch on the throttle for sure if that helps. It feels a lot more torquey lol
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
🤙🏽🔥🔥🔥 thank you
I would love to get a pass by, I have a 2017 GC trail 5.7 V8 and I can only imagine what it would sound like on there
I’ll try to record some fly bus for you all. Now keep in mind mine is the V6. But the intake has such a pronounced sound, you’ll still get a good sense of how it will sound on that beautiful 5.7
Imma need to install this ASAP😂💯 I got a 2020 limited x aswell If you have a snap I can show you I wrapped it in satin chrome purple and debatched it
Worth the upgrade for sure! And that satin chrome purple sound 🔥🔥🔥
You may want to check out that knock at the end of the video.
Hot air intake has improved sound but in my opinion that metal pipe is bad design. It will always be hot once engine runs at full temp.
I can't judge I had my fair share of those installed when i was younger
awesome! do you have some info for the exhaust?
Question about the exhaust system you put on and the CAI , did you have to have the jeep tuned at all for the aftermarket parts? I put flowmaster catback exhaust on my 2020 limitedX and it seems to shift into higher gears at lower speeds. Will be in 6th gear at 35mph. Wondering if tune is needed?
Hey man just my suggestion you should remove the stock scope from the (factory) air box. You will not have the loose weather striping and also get more cool air directly to the filter.
Never thought of that, thanks man 🙌🏾
Just wondering if the performance/efficiency difference is worth the cost. Cool sounds are nice, but I’m a bit more mature now and want some value for the cost, lol.
Seems odd to me all of the adapters. I can understand adapters on the motor side, but just seems odd to have to adapt the air box end.
Back to my first comment about performance/efficiency, seems like stock was already a cold air intake, so wondering if there is much difference. I know either way it goes there is more air available due to bigger opening, is it that much better than just using stock box with a K&N filter.
Any way thanks for the video, gonna look into a lot for my 2014 limited.
(Love the SRT hood by the way!!)
Sounds great, If you can't beat them you can scare them to death!😎 Get the RIPP supercharger and get som hp and borla exhaust!
Oh that’s absolutely next 😎 once Ripp releases their kit for the 2020 models I’m buying it 🙌🏽
theres alot of vids my guy. Good vid though more car vocabs in my opinion. Godbless
Love the X , do you know if the intake will fit a 21 limited x ? Thanks !!
Nice! And absolutely this will fit a ‘21 model year Limited X 🤟🏽
Nice! Appreciate it, man, sounds really good! Could you tell me please, how much extra HP does this cold air intake add? I have a 2017 grand cherockee limited. Thanks a lot!
No, thank you 🙏🏽 and I’m honest so with that said the HP gain is minimal. A tune paired with the intake would actually help show a difference or increase in power
Nice video.. do you know if this would fit a 2021 Laredo X
Yes it will 🤘🏽
