Great videos man! Very helpful. Got me a 2020 grand cherokee and put the K&N cold air intake on it with zero issues after watching. Got a question about the throttle body. Why did you go with this one over the standard MMX V6 Pentastar ported throttle body?
More power is nice but I wonder if that can translate up in the mountains where the air is thinner. I live in Denver and I have a 2019 limited Grand Cherokee.
Is the intake manifold port matched or at least larger then the stock throttle body opening? Also, a smaller intake pipe to a larger throttle body would slow down the air imo. Tuning is definitely needed after installation. After a few runs with the new parts installed, the factory cpu/ecm will detune to factory spec. Basically will run just like stock or worse. It may provide more hp at first but without a tune you will not enjoy it for long. Also if the intake port is not matched to the same size I don't see the benefit. Other than that, great video. Really hope you get a tune and do a video showing the difference.

Question. Once you put on a new air intake and throttle body, wouldn't that mean the engine will be getting more air (breathing better), so doesn't the ECU/ECM need to be flashed/adjusted to the new mods? Since the ECU/ECM is programmed to only work with stock intake/exhaust for proper fuel/air ratio, and this would mess that stock ratio up? Perhaps with newer cars it just does that automatically. (sorry perhaps I just missed that part of the vid) I have a Trailhawk GC. Awesome cars. Good luck!

Under throttle body option on the site do I need to click anything?
Only if you want to buy the throttle body from them. The kit they sell is just the adapter plate and connector cable but you have to either add the throttle body to the order or buy one from like eBay or something.
@@BlklimitedX thanks.
@@brandonlewis1238 no problem 🙏🏽
i have a 2015 jeep grand cherokee 3.6 as well, i know the stock bore size of the throttle body is 74mm, would you know the bore size of the intake? i see here the new 80mm throttle body looks like it’s flesh with the intake bore size, from looking at the spacer adapter. or is the intake bore size smaller than the 80mm throttle body??
I have the same, did you ever do it and was it the same kit?? Thx
Did you have to get a tune for this?
No but you can for better performance
Have you had any issues with any of the mods you’ve done?
I have a 2021 80th anniversary
Do you know if this throttle body would fit on my 2015 limited? I don't have the X
I have the same, did you ever do it and was it the same kit?? Thx
Does that throttle kit fit 2015 overland 3.6 as well
I have the same, did you ever do it and was it the same kit?? Thx
Yes I did and I supercharged it too
@@osvaldoaguilar7623do you think I could put that throttle body on a 2013 3.6?
bruh I’m hecka confused rn 💀 so it’s going to a v6 from a v8??? Or
How much Hp did you get?
Since I haven’t done any tuning yet, I’d bet it’s minimal. Tuning is where you’re going to see real benefit.
Does it void warranty?
Nope
@@BlklimitedX Thanks! MPG worse? Either way I’m doing it!
@@Zach_417 no actually I gained 2 mpg since daily driving with it.
I have a question. In the video you say I need a 3.5" X 3" coupler to go from the throttle body to the tube from the k&n, but when I follow your link, it is for a 3.5 X 3.25. Is this what I need?
Thanks,
Tom
Yes actually if you read under that link they state they made a mistake with the labeling lol. It’s the correct one, I had that same concern when I first went to purchase it
For the throttle body website multiple options come up : did you pick my own hemi , get the add throttle body option or polished throttle body option? (I have the K&n intake too btw)
I just selected add throttle body, not the polished one though. And nice!
For anyone who sees this. AFE MOMENTUM intake does NOT fit well with the 80mm throttle body due to the big enclosed box. It took me 2 hours alone to get it to fit. If you need any tips, comment below though.
This v6 identifies as a track hawk lol
