But that's not who we are.
We are here today to rechristen the USS Enterprise, and to honor those who lost their lives nearly one year ago.
When Christopher Pike first gave me his ship he had me recite the Captain's Oath -- words I didn't appreciate at the time.
Now, I see them as a call for us to remember who we once were, and, who we must be again
Gorgeous. Simply gorgeous. A long awaited addition for sure. Now let's cross our fingers for one last Kelvin Timeline movie, with plenty of this ship.
So many people that USED to hate the 2009 Kelvinprise now LOVE the 2009 Kelvinprise yet hate this IMPROVEMENT. I don't get it. This ship has the more accurate proportions than the 2009 Enterprise and looks more like the original than ever. Why do so many HATE it?

I’ve been waiting years! Got it day one and slapped the skin on my trusty Kelvin Command ship. I have no more requests to make of STO. I am a happy camper now that my favorite ship finally made it.
She is a Beauty. I don't care how many boxes it takes. I'm getting this Beauty

Big improvement by giving it a smaller sleeker profile

I have to say, while I love the ship design, the size of the numbering and lettering on the bottom of the saucer just bugs the shit out of me haha
I’m glad they finally added that. Makes identifying a ship from the surface of a planet that much easier. It’s one of those things alongside seatbelts and a window in the bridge that Kelvin finally included after 50 years of asking “why doesn’t Starfleet install X”

This is amazing, i keep waiting to see this version of the Enterprise in Star Trek movie number 4, sadly looks like we will never get it :(
The Kelvin timeline has the benefit of having a proper scale for their Starships to say the least. Unlike its Prime Timeline counterparts, it could actually fit a proper amount of shuttles in its hanger bays.
Looking at you USS Voyager.
That and the larger size and crew compliment allows for smoother function in deep space. The night crew and the day crew are able to maintain the effectiveness of the ship and the larger size allows for Torpedo Blisters and a weapons factory so they can manufacture their own torpedos instad of having to go to a starbase each time to rearm.
Voyager had only 30 odd torpedoes, yet they use far more than 30 in the show.
@@pershing3346Presumably Voyager also manufactured new torpedoes or at the very least traded for new ones. I recall an episode where negotiations fell through on acquiring an isokinetic cannon with a local of the Delta Quadrant.
@@Shapes_Quality_Control I would say so too, but the ship seems far too small to house a torpedo manufacturing plant. I doubt they had one and the writers just forgot because torpedoes were the least of their worries.
@@pershing3346 Without specifics I think one would have to assume many of the components can be produced by the replicator. Seems reasonable enough. Voyager was the most advanced ship in the fleet when she launched and was meant for long term survey missions and mapping which would require it to be able to produce probes that can’t be too dissimilar from torpedoes considering they use the same launch ports. Hell they did build an entirely new class of shuttle that was utterly badass from scratch.
Well the Kelvin timeline ships are pretty much 24th century tech with 23rd century manufacturing. Wait for it to slim down considerably.
This was the best one to come out of the Kelvin Timeline, and we hardly got to see it.
I'll be honest, if Trek was made today, the Constitution would probably look something similar to this.
This IS a vast improvement.
I gotta say, as someone who really didn't like the original Kelvin Enterprise, this thing is just gorgeous. I am ambivalent about ever getting another Kelvin Timeline film, but I would be happy to get to see this version of the ship in a big budget production.
I don't really like the spinny bits on the nacelles though, and would probably go with a more traditional orangey-yellow glow too.
Such a beautiful ship that was sadly locked behind STO's ship gambling mechanic. And no longer even being sold on the exchange.

I'm personally stuck in deciding if i want the j, the world razor, the Exeter, 32nd century constitution and the Kelvin constitution lol...I just don't know 😂
@@ANONYMOUS_PEASANT I'm not so sure as it came out this year. Most promo ships aren't claimable with the event campaign until the next year.
@mesner5x oops I'm wrong, but the first Kelvin enterprise is with the grand prize options, so if it did come out this year, then it can be won next year if they keep doing the events 😉 keeping my fingers crossed

Great video as usual 🙂The best version of the Kelvin-prise imho, finally proper struts. Curious to see if it will appear in the 'planned' 4th Kelvin movie which is seemingly still in the cards. Honestly wouldn't mind seeing that cast in action one more time 🤞I'd suggest getting Jaylah (from Beyond) to replace Chekov (RIP Anton)
The next one is apparently a prequel which might clear up some interesting temporal implications made by the Narada’s incursion but I did hear a fifth film which would be a sequel to Beyond is in preproduction.

All Kelvin Connie’s get access to the new skin upon unlock and are fully customizable. That means you can put the Connie 2 skin on your Command and Legendary versions if you wish but you have to unbox the promo ship first.
Would very much like to see a kelvin verse B though E enterprise come to sto if not in the kelvin verse movies. Since the D must be roughly the size of the vengeance if not 1 or 2 kilometers smaller.
This must be the new Enterprise will end up seeing in the next Star Trek movie, if possible.
You see it being built right at the very end of Beyond.

The only thing uglier than this Kelvin enterprise are the discovery future ships.

One of the ugliest versions of the Enterprise I've seen yet. From its brutish engines to its weirdly shaped secondary hull, the ship is just fugly. Never mind that the bridge looks like it's made of glass and would fit in an Apple phone store.
