Thanks for the teardown. Ive never repaired a weed eater before. However when my 1 yr old trimmer died i figured it was the spark plug, then the spring got stuck so i had to replace the whole coil. Luckily i stumbled on this vid.

This video worked great for me! Thank you! Got my weed eater working again, I weed eated by yard but after about twenty minutes of it running the head barely spins when I hit the throttle. The engine revs but the head barely spins. Any idea what I did wrong?

You did everything good but I don’t think the handle acceleration part doesn’t need to be removed. By moving the 4 front screws and 5 on the rear will do the job. To each it’s own, but it will take more time. Just a little advise. Thanks for your video, very professionally explained. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Great video! I seem to have lost one of the plastic spacers that go between coil and engine block. You mention them around 3:25 in your video. Any idea where I can get another one? Went to local hardware store and have some rubber spacers in there right now but would like to get the original part. Thank you.

best option is to visit a local authorized service center/dealer. they can order the part for you :)

More of a day of trimming with that piece of junk on a small yard. Not to bad with the chainsaw attachment

It takes longer to look up parts than fixing it

i'm a service dealer and have access to the parts lookup, for Ryobi it has to be under TTI which is who makes it.

    $250 - $300 is inexpensive? 🤔

What are you talking about? This ryobi is $199 at Home Depot now and it used to be over $50 cheaper before all this inflation. I think my parents bought theirs for $120-$130 at Home Depot.

Cheaper get another one even used than buy new parts and fixing, but anyway thanks,if fixing in the shop it’s 100% not worth it..
